What are the odds that I find a video of a guy with the same model of washer that I have, showing me how to fix my exact problem? Well, they’re pretty good, actually. I was able to fix my machine and save a lot of money. Thank you!!!!
Thank you so much my house got a little flooded and now i have to suck the water out of carpet and replace back boards and drywall, but i fix the damn washer! Thanks to you!!
Can't thank you enough man! Sunday night, washing clothes, helping the wife get kids ready for bed suddenly our laundry room is a lake of water. UA-cam the problem and watched your video. I have a GE but similar to your washer. Checked what you said and boom that was the problem. Cleaned line. Put back together and we're back washing clothes. Thank you again!!!!!!
My washer was over flowing. After watching your video I inspected my washer and found the air hose was completely clogged with gunk. I was able to cut out about 4 inches of the clogged hose. Tested the small medium and large settings. Everything is working perfectly. You saved me a service call and probably a couple hundred bucks. You are the man!!! Thanks for posting that repair. God bless you.
Special thanks to you from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 I just disassembled my washing machine and forgot to reconnect that hose. I learned two things; the diagnosing and the mechanism of the pressure switch 👍👍
Excellent! To the point, great voice and visuals and thank you for no awful background music. One of the best, if not the best troubleshooting videos I have yet to watch. Thank you so much- going to troubleshoot now.
Great video. I like the way you repeat the items that you think are critical to the issue at hand. That will irritate some people but they can go somewhere else. This video was well done, very clear, concise and to the point. Excellent.

Thank you sir. With 3 kids laundry piles up quick. This was so easy I didn't even need my husband help. I don't have the same model but was able to follow the same concept and yess it is working again! Thank you Thank you thank you 😊
You saved me from buying a washing machine. It's been raining when my washing machine overflowed & what a mess! It was too late when I realized my wash room , guestbath & down the basement were flooded. I am more the handyperson than my hubby & thought I'll give it a try since I've got so much wet clothes & towels that would stink if not dried. Sure enough, there was much debris in the hose which I cut & clean & rig back so it will reach the switch. My only difficulty was putting back the frame where my hubby helped me align it. Many thanks to this simple, easy to understand video that even an older lady like me can do.
Great video! This helped me today in diagnosing an overfilling washer for a client! Have been repairing appliances for quite a while now, but this symptom was new to me. As it turned out, air hose was indeed clogged with a bunch of gunk. Cleaning and flushing it thoroughly resolved the issue! Thanks much, Sam!
Dude;this video made my day! I did the blowing trick into the pressure switch and it clicked, then i cutted off 1 inch from both ends of the hose and with a straightened paper clip cleaned through the fitting hole at the bottom, where the hose connects.Last step before connecting the hose to the switch, i blew air through the fitting hole to remove any obstructions away. Now the switch works like new and i didn't have to spend money to fix it.Thank you very much for this video. 🙂🤝👍
Thank you Sam!! This saved me time and money because this was exactly why my mothers washer over filled. It took me less than 5 minutes to fix, thanks to your video!!! Awesome!! (unfortunately, it took much longer to dry up everything, lol)
My pressure hose was completely disconnected at the switcher. This took me 3 minutes to fix and the lady was looking for a new washer. Not today! Thank you.
You saved me I've had to replace the washer dogs (crumbled when I took the housing apart), lid switch (someone bypassed it before I got it and it fell apart and the lines were sketchy), and the coupler was broken in half but every part was discovered after I replaced the other one so I had to wait for the delivery even with prime took that long only to have an overfill problem and the agitator wasn't starting I cut the tip off the hose I was about ready to throw in the towel I have had the entire thing completely disassembled making sure nothing else was broken before putting it back together also if anyone decides to work on a washer go from the front not the back if you don't want to make it harder on yourself 😅you saved me with your video it is running like a dream now (I couldn't get the agitator apart Kenmore 70 series washer 2003 got it all the way to the base I couldn't replace the worn out belt which I still don't understand what it attaches to exactly if you have any tips would love it)
Thanks good video. My maytag commercial the hose goes to a switch but it has two plugs going into it. One has about 8 wires in one connector going to it. Will it click like the one you have if it is good or is it electrical ?
hello am james and i love this video..my washer was overflow water and i follow your video and that was the problem and i fix it n it work like new washer...i want to thank you alot
Posted this on another video but will add it here. First I do thank the guys for posting their videos to help people save money on repairs. While all this information was very good it needs just a bit more. While he does go into the hose and it was apparently clogged, he never mentions that sorta clear canister the hose hooked to. Kenmore calls is an Air Dome, and if you tried blowing from the switch side towards that, heard no air flow and about blew your cheeks out then it is plugged. I found a fix from another guy with a GE with same problems. The solution was a can of compressed air. I tried it, heard a pop in just a few seconds (no clue what it was but all works fine) blew through the hose again and I could hear air flowing in the canister/air dome. Put it back together, did test runs and the machine filled and shut off at the proper levels every time. This was on an older Kenmore and I do not know what new ones use or look like, but I know it solved my problem after going through all the related steps. Hope that will be helpful to some others a no where I could find, is there any information on the part of the machine being an issue.
Ive got a electronic whirlpool washer it agitates instantly before filling with water. After final spin it rinses again. The pressure hose goes to the fabric softener switch. Any ideas? Thanks
If you do this don't forget to blow the hose the other way too, away from the pressure switch. It should have no resistance and air should flow with your test. That being said, this video is amazing! Thank you so much!
@@peterolguin5086I’m sure you’ve fixed the issue by now but for other folks just seeing this, try putting the washer on the spin cycle to drain the water out before you begin troubleshooting and fixing it.
Had a a similar problem here. Instead of the tube having sediment or expanded, it came off! My washer is different so i had a harder time finding out how to remove the frame but found out nonetheless. You have my gratitude.
Thank you for this vid. I have a smaller unit and has similar parts. It ended up the hose was disconnected due to wear and looks like the clamp needs replacement. And I believe the spin cycle caused it to come off especially when out of balance. I snipped the worn end of the hose and reinstalled it. Who knows how much a service tech would’ve charged me. Thanks again.
These were excellent machines. I just replaced my Amana NTW4516FW with an older 24" Estate (Whirlpool) direct drive a couple of weeks ago. Keep these running for as long as possible.
You are exactly right....All my neighbors who have expensive newer appliances complain about "failing motherboards", etc. that either cannot be repaired at all or literally cost thousands to fix ......but hey they look nice.....
yes you nailed it something as simple as a replacing the hose! Now I must go blow into the pressure switch to make sure that's not the problem, many thanks!
Just got a used Whirlpool 90 series and I just changed out the water control valves bc it was dripping cold water into the tub. Now I have a flood. The pressure hose is very short and I may have crimped it. I hope that's what it is. Thank you so much for this video!
This is awesome!. Big time thank you. The cool part is that my washing machine is exactly the same 100%. I just sub to you and click on like button. God bless you.
Wait so when you blow into the tube you should here a a couple of clicks?? Cause I just here one! Does that mean I should replace the pressure valve?? Help me please!

Just clean the inside the hose, add small sip ties or metal tension clamp, put back together. Never cut the hose for tightness. They are that length for a reason.
my washing machine, the pressure tube doesn't have a pinhole leak, was perfectly clear of debris, and the pressure switch seems okay. Is it possible to overflow a WM with just "too many clothes" combined with XL water setting?

It worked!!!! I did exactly as you demonstrated and it works perfectly now. Thanks!!!!
Thanks for the simplicity explanation on how to tackle this type of situation. Sunday morning wash, water all over the floor.

Exactly what I needed. Saved us at least 250$. Thank you!
Thank you! I do miss washers with non-digital controls, that could accommodate non-city water!

What if it does have pressure ? What’s would be the problem?

Well there’s water in there so when I blow into it I see the bubbles is it supposed to drain by itself because it’s not draining
