My wife and I cannot thank you enough for making this video! Water was coming out the rear of our washer and also the water would turn on unexpectedly and fill the drum even when we weren't washing clothes. My wife discovered your video and put me to work. Saved us quite a bit of money and time. We are back in business. Much appreciated!

Yeah, that one is an OEM.... made the mistake of ordering it and finding a generic for 1/3 the price on amazon (1/4 buying local). Just google the part number. I could go through three generic valves before it costs me what the OEM costs.... Samsung has ALWAYS been like that (as much as I love their products and at the end of the day, most OEMs do this....

Our WA56H9000AP/A2 won't go into test mode as your video shows but I decided to swap the water inlet anyway since the part is cheap ($35) and your video made the swap look fairly easy. The washer would keep filling after doing a hot load but now it works great. Thank you so much for posting this! Liked and subscribed!

Have the same washer but my symptom was water was slowly leaking out the back of the washer even when the washer was off. Noticed the water was coming from below the external hose connections. I would also get water pooling in the detergent tray. Replaced this part and I am good to go! Thanks a million for the video - saved me a ton of time.

Thank you! I’m just a mom of three who didn’t want to buy a whole new washing machine and your instructions walked me through flawlessly. My husband is at work and I need to wash some clothes- I didn’t want to wait until tonight to fix it! One thing you might suggest is for people to try and clean out their current valve; mine had a ton of debris in one of the inlets. I cleaned it out and put it back on. Works like a charm! I figured if that worked I wouldn’t even need a new one. It may not last long, but it’s fine for now! Thank you, thank you!

After confirming that it was indeed the issue (by following your troubleshooting steps), I ordered the replacement part. I tried pressing both spin and soil, then the power button. (All together)
Mine will not go into that test mode. I did some more research and went to 17h delay (start for 10 seconds) then it went to a whole test mode. No leaks no issues.
Could this have been a random fluke? It was a lot of water seemed like it came out over the top. I did follow the water trail.

I have the exact same Samsung model. My issue is that it leaks from bottom. I’ve checked the hoses (secured and clamped), the hot and cold inlet valves, and the detergent tray. My drain pump is good shape, no blockage. I didn’t know about the diagnostics feature. Will the diagnostics give me an accurate reading on the problem? As of now, I get a 4E error as well. Any further advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    • @BeardedApplianceRepair
      @BeardedApplianceRepair  5 років тому

If it’s filling with too much water you have a somewhat complicated issue. The pressure switch monitors the water level and it could be a number of different reasons why it’s not working right.
Hopefully you just have a bad valve. So if you’re not getting water then it will be easier to diagnose. Make sure your water valve(s) are working and that the pressure is good.
The leak can even be the cause of the error if it’s a serious leak. The water may be leaking as fast as the water is coming in. I think you would have been able to find that leak though. It’s probably small.
Try and find the leak by just following the water trail. There is a panel in the back. You can take that off and look underneath the washer and see where the water is coming from. Looking for any drips would be the way to start. Gravity should show you the way.

@@BeardedApplianceRepair Thanks! I checked all my hoses and valves, I guess there was a hose that was loose, and I didn't catch it the first time around. @WoodsyWoodson Рік тому

@@lisaschroth4097same here. Cold water shuts off fine. Hot does not, but they all shut off like they should when doing this test. Tells me it’s not the valve or pressure switch. I’m leading toward it being the control board but like you don’t want to just throw parts at it, process of elimination style.

Tech sheets. If you can get your hands on those it will tell you everything you need to know. Well everything you need to know in regard to how to test things. Samsung washers in particular the are in a bag located on the rear of the machine. A lot of times they will be missing, but heck yeah if they are there.
Every brand is different on where the tech sheet is located. Starting this year whirlpool is not going to push tech sheets on washing machines. They are going away so if you really need them you can join appliantology.org/. If you’re a member you can either request or look up tech sheets for help. Even ask for advice on certain issues you’re experiencing.

Pro tip verify which water valve yours has because no matter how similar they look for whatever reason you can’t use the 15459g in place of a 15459h. Your machine somehow will know and it will take forever to wash and your wife will treat you like you’re stupid and broke her machine worse than it was prior and make you put the messed up valve back in it. Don’t ask me how I know this.. 😂

will it continuously fill like in the video? If so the control board is very rare to fail in that case. I am sure it can happen but I have not personally seen it in the field. Try again to see if the water valve sticks open when power is un-applied. sometimes you have to try it numerous times to get it to duplicate the issue.
