I look forward to your first impression of the T598 once you get it and have some time to finally feel it out for yourself. I pulled the trigger myself on this thing after using a T300 for a few years, which I’ve been very happy with, but the value for a first direct drive was an easy decision for me. I contemplated waiting until TM sold the wheel separately as I too have the TCLM pedal set, but I couldn’t help myself. You’re right about the settings, I may have to go back to default settings. I didn’t think I made any extreme adjustments, but I found out racing a 200 mph car came with VIOLENT oscillation, just crazy. Good video, really looking forward to your review!
Thank you my friend absolutely go back to auto settings for now at least till you get a good feeling for it. Then start adjusting the feedback 1 setting at a time in small increments
I felt certain sensations better with my T300. Curbs are the best example of that. That said, the T598 is still a far better experience. The oscillations were horrible, but that was corrected by turning up the friction. Regarding GT7, I’d definitely prefer the TGT II because of the transducer and the direct support. I’m looking forward to T598 support so I can see what this thing can really do.
Perhaps you just need to adjust some settings on your fanatec to get it more dialed in to how your TGT2 feels as how you have your settings sometimes can make all the difference
I spent so much time playing with the settings on it that it started driving me crazy to the point I just quit playing GT7 altogether. The T-GT II is literally plug and play and it feels awesome.
@ that’s fair plug and play definitely beats having to adjust settings though atleast the fanatec has been around long enough I would think there’s a lot of ppl who have settings guides for it on gt7 but 🤷🏼♂️
@racdude01 i tried so many of the settings out there some were okay but never felt as good as other games so I just quit trying. I am more than satisfied with the T-GT II for GT7 on PSVR 2 I have my Fanatec hooked up to the PC for everything else 😀
Forsure if settings are too extreme u will get crazy oscillation. Auto or very slight bumps here or there are the best ways to find that sweet spot where the wheel is working at its best. To me I feel all the things u are describing as u are driving on the T598. It even has a low vibration when not moving to feel as the car is on( or maybe that's how DD wheels idle)very string grip sensation on fast long turns
Ok big guy here it is. The 598 has the potential to be better, but right now the tgt2 in gt mode is better on gt7 than the 598. The tire slip feel and curbs can't be felt well yet hopefully when the base is officially supported it will be. Overall it is faster more responsive and can feel stronger at times in bursts. The ability to change wheel rotation dir3ctly on the base comes in handy on some games like ea sport wrc, and the ffb settings control on the base kinda like the fanatec is nice. At the current prices 800 for the tgt2 bundle vs 500 for the t598 bundle it's a no brainer for the 598. The fanatec u have and ur tgt2 are better in gt7 for now, but if u get it try it on crew motorfest ea sport wrc and some other games it's pretty impressive for a 5nm base. I'd be curious how it compares to ur dd pro when in 5 nm mode. Whatever the 598 is using for vibrations is stronger than the transducer on the tgt when its actually used right
I figure the T598 is going to be somewhere in between the T-GT II and my Fanatec DD Pro for a lot of games and once it is fully utilized by developers in future games it will be quite interesting to see where it actually stacks up against other setups. I have faith in the T598 just not sure it's an upgrade right now. Definitely going to have some growing pains it's still early days so early adopters need to be patient with it.
Ur not bro at least until they officially support the wheel and update it. It has potential but on gt7 it doesn't feel right. I have a dd extreme and tgt2 to compare it to stick with the tgt for now
well ur gona laught when i tell ya what i play American Truck Sim and Motorsport 7 you ready the good ol MICROSOFT FORCE FEEDBACK WHEEL lol its so toyish but HEY it gets the job done i used to have the Logitech g926 and i loved it i plan on getting another one
Don't mean to sound rude, sincerely, this was just kinda hard to listen to with the stammering, missed words, repeated words, "um's" & just kinda got lost with the pace. A script for your videos like this might help a lot with both the video & your confidence to make more of them & get better at doing it without notes. Just a thought anyway. A much brighter key light to see both the screen & the speaker would be another quick & easy (& inexpensive) update.
Tbh I think he just kept uploading videos last night, and by this one, he was just burned out. Dudes having issues I feel that he feels TM should have sent him a T598 and didn't. If I was him, id sell everything I dont need and just buy it. It will be the last thing that puts him over the edge to finally be recognized by them if he does. They sent him the pedals. But dude is seeing all these reviews, and feels like he should be too. And I can see its getting to him. Honestly, he should have been in bed at this point. Hope it happens for him. And yes Frogboy... You do need to get some kind of talking points or scripting to really be taken seriously by TM. You're so close bro.
@@frogboyx1Gaming In all sincerity, I was only trying to help with some ideas I've seen work & that have helped with just speaking in general & it's added tremendous confidence & the videos & presentations end up being more effective just as a side effect, & I did mean it sincerely. It's not meant to be negative like the other response suggests, but the opposite, truly. I kinda feel like a tool for saying anything, but at the time I felt compelled, & I'm not sure why.

I hope they will add better support for GT7 soon
@ I’m counting on that, so I’ll be pretty disappointed if they don’t.

That's good when you are stopped try turning your wheels to see if you can feel that friction
If you need to feel traction, get bass shaker system. They are affordable.
I'll be waiting for your considerations around the T598 as a TGT2 current driver.

It’s not a tough one for me direct drive is the future
Belt drive wheel technology is way too old
Over 20 years old
Lol
I can't thank you enough for your video. I play allot of GT7and have the TGT II. Here I was thinking I was missing out
I think you are fine for now devs are still working on getting the T598 better optimized for GT7. T-GT II is the best feeling wheel for GT7 currently.
Ur not bro at least until they officially support the wheel and update it. It has potential but on gt7 it doesn't feel right. I have a dd extreme and tgt2 to compare it to stick with the tgt for now
I think Logitech G Pro is the best wheel for GT7. Would you test that wheel out in the future?
Absolutely just can't do anymore big purchases this year for the channel. Already over the max with the T-GT II and PS5 Pro
@frogboyx1Gaming Hey , what strength settings do you use on your TGT2 in GT7
10
Fanatec dd pro is better but idk if its 200 euros better
well ur gona laught when i tell ya what i play American Truck Sim and Motorsport 7 you ready the good ol MICROSOFT FORCE FEEDBACK WHEEL lol its so toyish but HEY it gets the job done i used to have the Logitech g926 and i loved it i plan on getting another one
Awesome my friend

all you vids are bs
I have had it for 2 weeks now currently on my 3rd weekend with it.
I do have the T598 now
ua-cam.com/video/VYzFBFa29Mk/v-deo.html here is my 2nd weekend video with it.

Have you every tried to read notes and drive at the same time.

Also, be brutally honest about what you like and don't. Remember you want TM to think "this community really listens to this guy"
Read these and then just delete them mate. Only want you to see it really and don't want to contribute to negativity in any way. God bless bro
