I wouldnt buy a PS5 Pro. What id do is wait for it to come out and benchmarkers find out a GPU equivalent to it. Maybe its one of the new RDNA 4 ones and use it to make PS5 PC equivalent vuds

You make it sound like FSR3.1 has been around since Cyberpunk released! I mean how many games have launched since 3.1 released that dont have it? Do you know they didnt try that version and for a reason it didnt work well? I mean last i heard 2077 doesnt have the latest release of DLSS as that doesnt work well in it compared to previous versions.. FSR3.1 didnt look particularly good in The First Descendant.. It was also disabled for a period as it was causing crashing. Some games it seems to suffer with worse ghosting than FSR2.2 which is already a problem in 2077. FSR was causing my XTX to crash in Black Myth Wukong making it impossible to get through the opening scene with it enabled. You know that CDPR didnt have an issue with it? I mean it seems very hand picked in the games it was added into at launch and then hardly anything since..

CDPR are incompetent. Mods are better. FSR 3 instead of 3.1, and *FSR 3 looks measurably worse than FSR 2.1* even though it's been out for a year. There's a reason they left 2.1 without removing it, you don't see that for DLSS do you? It's a poor implementation, and FSR 3.1 which has been out for 4+ months decoupled the FG so you can use it with DLSS of course CDPR wouldn't do that, and neither would Nvidia be happy about that. That's also why you don't see FSR 3.1 in games like Wukong. EDIT: They also broke the game, needing a restart every time you enable FG which wasn't like that before (and no other FSR 3.1 game does this either) and they also removed exclusive full-screen.

you don't need fsr 3 like who is using ray tracing its broken and its the reason unreal engine 5 is broken .

The FSR 3 version must be ancient, because frame generation doesn't work in fullscreen or with VRR and there is poor frame pacing. It is similar to the one on the initial Forspoken demo.

ally x is less of an upgrade over the ally than the pro will be over the 5 so id recommend waiting for pro if its between those two

Nvidia is their focus for the more advanced ray tracing and the fact that Nvidia dominates the PC gaming space. In a game like Cyberpunk with a futuristic setting and lots of shiny surfaces RT works especially well. Just did a major upgrade to my AMD PC by connecting my Samsung T7 Shield by USB C instead of USB 3.0. Ludicrously fast transfer speeds now.

FPS performance with Ray Tracing is still bad on it with FS3 and Frame Gen. I agree with you 100%.

If you wonder why they not added FSR 3.1, there is one reason, FSR 3.1 decouple FG for RTX 3XXX and 2XXX users, NV don't want to support older gens and want to push users to buy new models with CDPR support

This really ain't CDPRs fault, FSR 3 is shit, it's looks shit in every game, it's literally the last resort of upscaling that everyone chooses.. I literally choose to use intel XESS only if I HAVE to over any version of FSR. But then again, what did you expect trying to use RT and PT on an AMD card in Cyberpunk, they ain't built for it. Max it out without any RT and you are fine, it's a great experience, or even the lowest RT settings with XESS... along with the teeny amount of high end AMD users, you should be thanking them for even adding it 😀

I haven't tried it yet but knew when FSR3.1 wasn't there it was a joke. But least they removed Denuvo from Jedi Survivor. (not CDPR obviously)I mean I bought it but Denuvo ruins game performance.

AMD sent engineers to help Nixxes with the PS4/5 ports. Nvidia sent CDPR engineers to help with Cyberpunk. Nvidia calls and offers help to pretty much every studio, recently listened to a podcast with the developer of Spirit to the North a small studio Indy game and Nvidia offered to send them help. Not to mention that any version of FSR is going to struggle with Cyberpunk. It's TAA even at native has pretty rough ghosting and shimmering. DLSS with it's Temporal filtering fixed the shimmering a while back. But it wasn't until 3.7 with preset E that it fixed the ghosting. And trying to get PT to look decent without ray reconstruction will be impossible because of the noise and light lag. Using FSR 3.1 would have looked better in a static shoot because it would remove some shimmering, but it also increases the amount of ghosting because of the increased temporal samples being used. It's why we got the fsr3.1 Ghosting of Tsushima memes.

Note that Intel xess upscaler was updated to the latest (because there not a threat) but not FSR. what a disgrace.

The execution of Cyberpunk in particular left alot to be desired. I played it when it came out and the glitches and lazy shit like the traffic just disappearing when out of view and cops spawning like a clown car out of closets or bathrooms made the game feel like a joke. I wasn't blown away by the story, it was good don't get me wrong but I have felt no desire to replay the game. The story definitely doesn't come close to the Witcher games.

thing that gets to me is neither the ps5 or Xbox X can run 120fps...both dip, ps5 dips into the 90's. need to next gen needs to be better or I'm off for good.

When I read through your title says "PS5 Pro Not Worth It, Xbox Is Dying Ponies Will Pay The Price", this reminds me to get ready to avoid the very aggressive Nintendo haters as they're so willing to go on trolling rampage on most gamers are going to prefer the Nintendo Switch 2 over the PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X's upgraded version. Edit: I've heard a lot of stories of Nintendo haters have been bullying people for liking Nintendo in school or something by saying "Haha! Nintendo is for kids, PlayStation and Xbox are both for real gamers!" then they torment them physically, which is really despicable.

When I bought this on Steam there was a bug where I couldn't see my character in the character creator so had to refund it. Going to try it again after I get a 2 TB Samsung T7 SSD, almost out of space on my 1TB. FSR 3 could help on my PC.

FSR 2.1 already looked bad in CP2077. This looks even worse to my eye. Just tested and really dissapointed with the upscaler. doesnt even look like fsr 2.0.

I have the 45inch version and I game more here than even my 4K LG 42 C2. Flying around in No Man's Sky gives you the illusion of actually being in there in the cockpit rather than just staring on a TV screen. The 800R curve + massive size does wonders that smaller 34inch ultrawides and 16:9 screens just can't. I'll take immersion over resolution any day of the week.

You'll be in the 10% minority on Steam with a 5090, you don't really want that. Plus you'll need to buy a PC fire suppression system if you buy a early adopter 5090.

I use a RTX 4090 RT overdrive in Cyberpunk so no frame generation needed and I use Intel XESS 1.3.1. It gives me 10 fps more than DLSS and 15 fps more than FSR 3.1 in game, and it's the best looking upscale imho.

I’m with you on this one. Terrible implementation. Why would they not implement the latest FSR 3.1. The funny thing is it looks worse than the FSR 2.1. This is beyond stupid. But they did implement the latest XeSS 1.3 with no problems whatsoever. It’s like they do it on purpose. And man, CDPR were great studio, now they just sold out. Lost respect for them.

Put your ps5 on a 4k gamer pro and play in performance . You basicly have what a ps5 pro will do for about £100. I have been doing this for the past 2 years.

Why don't you try out some custom resolutions. There isnt a super massive difference between 1200p and 1440p, especially if you use RSR in combination. I think 2560x1200 is the ultrawide variant of 1920x1200. Enable the full display mode on your monitor and also in adrenaline, so the image fits the whole screen. I use it on the 7800xt with Path tracing, xess 1.3 Quality + AFMF2, and get around 80 avg. Then enable RSR to further upscale to my display either 1440p or 4k. So i know ultra performance is not needed for the XTX.

Who really thought Nvidia whipping boys CDPR would really do a decent fsr3 implementation?.. I think AMD also figured out this would be the case, and made changes to AFMF, which actually performs better imo in combination with xess 1.3. (just turn off the weapon reticle if the ghosting is distracting) I have never seen such bias in my gaming life. AMD holders have literally helped put revenue into both CDPR and Nvidia pockets, either through purchasing/supporting the game via consoles and AMD GPUs. So it beggars belief that they would be comfortable enough to give a portion of their supporters such mediocre attempt of a feature. They even bugged the full screen option and try to force people to use fsr with the frame generation. This is the most extreme bias I've seen period. 😂 How are these tactics for the gamers?..

This has got to be the most tech ignorant posting to youtube in ages. There is NO CONSOLE in the world that can reach parity with a 4070, let alone a 4090. Your console is just NOW, at the end of it's lifecycle, and with a $700 price tag, able to break the 60FPS cap. How much is Sony paying you to shill the PS5 Pro, when nearly everyone is dunking on it as not worth the price tag for the little improvements it has over a regular PS5.

I agree brother. For this generation to have so much R&D before launch and to be this stale only 4 years in, I can’t help but feel that the focus may not even be on this generation at all. I think a majority of their focus is already on the next generation consoles and more importantly their ecosystem. I thought I was missing out when I only had my Xbox one by not upgrading. I’m curious what the next generation has in store.

I find it funny AMD added better Ray tracing for that Pro model of the PS5 compared to their actual cards. The CPU cores are still Zen 2 I’m pretty sure which can hold it back in the long haul
