This song was written 2 years ago as a loose sequel to "The Storm" off Project Discover, my first original EP/work and focusing on the cross of brutality with stormy weather and the zen calm nature that rain brings. As with a lot of my original music, I borrowed a lot of riffs and ideas from my game music and you can hear that especially in some of the opening sections!
After a lot of work, moving around, and even playing this song live, I am proud to share my music video of this track - melodic, blending all of me and my musicality, and I hope you brace the storm! For the first time I am also able to offer free Tabs/Sheet music (PDF, GP5) for all Patrons and purchasers of the song on Bandcamp!

So one thing I've noticed over the years that has become a signature of your sound and phrasing is sometimes sliding down to a target note from higher up on the fretboard. You've grown so much as a musician from what I've seen knowing you over the years, but I love that some of those subtleties like the one I just mentioned haven't been lost. Basically what I'm saying is you've grown so damn much but it's still you at the core, and it's been so cool to see your growth over the years man. Great original track. You're a monster. And the thumps were cool too haha
I love that you can notice that! It's a very like, Steve Vai type of expressive lead playing move I like to use. When I write I definitely see it as a growth in songwriting and playing, but still represents all the music I've made before!
That was an epic adventure! Really like all the twists and turns and the energy you brought to this one
