      Yeah you definitely should boy have to braid the hair first. I've never heard of that before and that not how it's done in Africa and it puts wayyyy too much tension on your hair.... glad you found this video. How she doing it is how we've always done it. It should be done in no time

    done yarn locs before with braiding. I cant wait to try this and cut the time. I hope it doesnt slip. and the root looks okay

    Disclaimer: Acrylic may irritate your scalp. Mine burned so I need to use cotton :) just a heads up, if you have sensitive skin you should go for cotton.

      Oh wow, I'm so glad my video helped you and thanks for watching. I've never seen them done bigger but I think if you double the amount of yarn used for one braid it should work just fine. I would actually love to try that one day.

      Hi, no the hair doesnt lock up. Its just wrapped up with the yarn. I'm glad you liked it🙂

    How can we make the locs more flexible after they are in? Will it get flexible after washing also can you do a video on washing and how you dry them.

      Hi, usually they get more flexible with time. Like about 2 weeks they should fall more and be easier to maneuver. Sure, I can make a video on that. I'll have to experiment though because I hardly ever wash mine when I have them because yarn get extremely heave when wet. Thanks for watching💛

    How did you keep going when you were tired and wanted to give up? Was there a point when you were like “these locs are taking forever I just can’t”?

      Lol girl, I do my own hair all the time so I'm used to it. I do have those moments when I get tired and want to give up but then I take a break, go do something else for a while then come back and continue.

      Hi, so glad you're gona try it😃 Oh girl, the back of the head is always really tricky. Thats the part I have the most trouble with but just make sure you're in a very comfortable sitting position while doing the back because your arms will hurt.

      Hi, no they were not heavy but if you make them longer they will be. I'm not sure exactly how many locs I put in.

      It really depends on how thin or thick you want your locs to be though.

      Then I recommend you use two strands for the base and three strands to wrap. Hope that helps🙂

      Hi dear, you wana make sure you're wrapping it extremely tight and pushing up as you go or else they might unravel.

    When i did locs before braiding first then rapping it pulled my edges out lol horrible but true
    Do u have this problem?

      Yes, you have to be really careful with the edges when it comes to locs because they tend to be heavy sometimes.

      Honestly i perfer the braids i do 4 strands yes small lol but love
      I used to dye my hair all the time because i just love color in my hair so this switch up is so much nicer and less damaging

      Yes ive been enjoying for about half a yr now
      Switched to braids about 3-4 months ago digging them alot better without the annoying itchingness too u get for weave cant stand that
