Your videos have help me improve my finishing! I’m in love with the trade and I’m constantly looking for better ways to do things. I’ve even started feathering my edge with the center of my knife as you’ve shown in other videos. The guy I work with who has been in the trade for 40 years gets upset every time he sees me cutting my edge.. lol. He is a professional but you can’t teach a old dog new tricks it seems.
That’s awesome Bret. Cutting the mud with center of knife doesn’t require you to push as hard and crests less wear on the blade. Glad these are helping you. If you have any requests I’ll do what I can to make one for you.
Bro I'd mad appreciate a close up of you putting these offsets in. It's the only thing that I dislike across the game. Always taught to use straightflex, and always have issues of "the roll" and / or having to coat uo to the centre if the stuff isn't sitting right 😬 Never had any callbacks , so nothing has went that wrong.but yeah don't enjoy putting offsets in
The real answer: when no Coat is installed properly on inside offset angles there is no need to coat to The cent. The paper surface is paintable. When I first saw no coat products it was the year 1999. A rep came and dropped 10 boxes of no Coat paper faced bead. The rep said on outside corners only the edge needs to

For these I like to tape the off angles first so that I have the line so I know where to bring the bead to. The rest I do the same. Nice job.
I just run bead tight to ceiling.
Thanks for the comment and compliment!
Why is it called no coat, but every video I see of the product is someone coating it? Lol life’s mysteries, love the vids and keep up the good work!

Learn something new everyday. Thanks.
Glad I was able to show you something. It makes it very easy to make those corners perfect when finishing.
