🔎 In this video, we will be discussing five warning signs of low oxygen in the blood and providing detailed information about each one.
5. Shortness of breath is a common warning sign of low oxygen in the blood due to reasons such as lung or heart disease, or high altitude. The feeling is a physical response to a lack of oxygen and can be improved with oxygen therapy or deep breathing exercises under medical guidance.
4. Confusion is a symptom of low oxygen in the blood as the brain requires oxygen for energy production and to carry out vital functions like neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity. This is the mechanism behind learning and memory, and a lack of oxygen impairs these functions, leading to confusion, impairments in learning, and memory.
3. Headaches are another warning sign of low oxygen levels in the blood as the brain may not function properly when it does not receive enough oxygen, causing dull, persistent headaches that worsen with physical activity. Chronic hypoxemia can cause damage to neurons, impairing synaptic plasticity and cognitive function, so it's important to consult a doctor if persistent headaches occur.
2. A rapid heart rate is a warning sign of low oxygen levels in the blood, as the heart has to work harder to pump blood and oxygen throughout the body to compensate for the lack of oxygen. This can cause the heart to beat faster and harder, leading to further complications like heart enlargement over time. It's important to take steps to address a rapid heart rate and other heart health issues, which can be improved with various lifestyle tips.
1. Blue lips or skin can also be a sign of other serious health conditions, such as lung or heart problems, and should not be ignored. If you experience this symptom along with other symptoms of low oxygen levels, such as shortness of breath or confusion, seek emergency medical attention right away.

There was one time when I had low oxygen in the blood. I was in the hospital recovering from acute pancreatitis and I came down with pneumonia and had to be treated for pneumonia. During that period my heart rate was 120 beats a minute while lying in a bed and I felt like I was going to pass out with any activity and movement. I was given antibiotics and supplemental oxygen and did recover from this. So an infection of pneumonia will cause low oxygen in the blood.

I noticed the number 5 appeared twice in your list. You wouldn't happen to be short of oxygen at the time by any chance?

@@hagdorewell it's a list of five so yea .. you sure your oxygen level is oK?
Nice summary thank u
Thank you for sharing this very important information. My husband suffers from COPD and is on 9 liters of oxygen, and his heart does go up when he does any kind of physical activity,so this info will be very helpful. Thanks again.
Shortness of breath, for me, is not just gasping for breath. It was more like I would breathe normally or even deeply and feel like I had only breathed shallowly, or like when your nose is stuffed up and very little air can get through.
Yes I was slightly over weight and inactive so I joined a gym. And it took about 2 weeks to get back to normal. I think people just get lazy. Then they wonder why;;.. my gym is free I’m 65.,. A Hugh different in my Engery.sleep and self awareness
I had Covid last November and didn't feel like eating for a couple of months; didn't eat properly and started having some of these symptoms; thought it was long Covid, and then started craving ice; had my iron checked and my hemoglobin was 6.2, iron deficiency anemia; people, if you have ANY symptoms, see your doctor immediately, these problems are definitely not to be messed with
Im trying to understand why my doctor told me not to take iron?

It’s a little (but chunky) device that clamps onto the end of your finger, and it will show how much oxygen saturation is in your blood. 95% or higher is good.
@@CherylPix62 insurance will only pay for supplemental oxygen when your oxygen level is 88 or lower. It used to be 90 percent but insurance has lowered it. My level goes to 88 percent without supplemental oxygen. Heart and lung failure and rapid heart rate ( atrial fibrillation) are my issues.
Thanks🥰🙏💕
Thank you for all the informations
Very interesting
Thank you
What about loss of bladder and bowel control???😮
thank you.
Thanks it is good to know.
Thank You.
I had shortness of breath and blue spots on face(cyanosis). Diagnosed with CHF with ejection fraction. I had no stroke or heart attack. The only thing I can figure is that I was eating apricot kernels right before it happened.
The video describes the most acute cases of low oxygen. But there are also chronic causes, such as:
Anxiety can be a sign of low oxygen. Possible cause : poorly ventilated places
Hypersomnia can be a sign of low oxygen. Potential causes: 1) poorly ventilated bedrooms; 2) pectus excavatum
Wow, thank you for this info. Super interesting. ⭐️
I was just told I have low oxygen levels and am a little more concerned now. For the past couple of years I've felt exhausted and take 4-5 naps during the day which I never did but, now I know why. On oxygen at bed time now but, not much improvement. I thought it was bc of C.O.P.D. but, think this is my new normal. Feels like I'm being robbed of my life. I pray it improves and know it's in God's hands.
Confusion... Due to low oxygen levels. Oh wow! Now I have an excuse for any stupid stuff I do! Thanks!
I have a oxygen meter. Don’t panic if it’s low. I’ve seen mind hit 91 you need a least a minute then check meter usually jumps up 96 to 98…
Shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat, together with high blood pressure (180) - I experienced these for the first time in my life on Jan 3 of this year. I was exactly one year on a low carb diet. Blood tests the following day showed very good results except for very high LDL(280) and ECG showed I had an atherosclerotic aorta. The doctor prescribed statins and other medicine, all good for a month's supply. I took all the medicine except that I consumed only about 20 of the statins. Also, I cut off red meat. In the four weeks that followed, I continued to experience shortness of breath and have high blood pressure ranging from 120 - 150.
On the second week of Feb, I had another set of blood tests and all results were back to normal. Blood pressure went down to between 100-110 and LDL to 129. Since that time and up to now,, I didn't experience any spike in my blood pressure or any shortness of breath.
All in all, I feel that I'm fine, healthy, and have the energy to go about what I have to do the whole day.
Still, I could not understand what caused the episode I had in January.
Proper diet, good sleep and exercise - I have had all these. By the way, I'm 76 yrs old. Yes, perhaps aging is the most important factor here, which means there is something more that I should do, but which I don't know yet.
😅😅😊
I do not mean to trivialize the physical situation, but I wonder about what was happening prior to your perplexing poor health episode? Perhaps a long stretch of illness and death of a loved one? Downsizing? Loss of independence? Leaving your old familiar home? Severe financial loss? Loss of driving? Grandchild on drugs or in prison?
This is all called "loss stress," which is chemically more toxic on the cells and organs than job stress or outrunning a bear or witnessing a murder.
Loss gets noticed on a psychological and spiritual level, but only lightly on a chemical/physical level.
Meanwhile, the chemicals due to unacknowledged or unfinished grief silently continue to do their damage on the physical.
*As for me, I'm 82 yrs old, no doctors, no meds, work all day, dance all night. But my body took a dive when my 59 yr old alcoholic son was incarcerated for a few years for drunk driving. That's a sad and shame-filled relationship loss that many families go through. On top of that when he was released from prison he came to live with me and was so mentally damaged that he was verbally abusive to me every day for over a year. (He eventually healed and got back on his feet and found another place to live; and I am finding ways to build my self back up again. Yoga, fast walking, socializing, fasting, herbs, leafy greens, fruits etc.)
Yes, Emotional terrorism by one's addicted loved ones is a serious loss of a wonderful peoson we once nurtured since birth.
Not much help in grieving this kind of loss in this lifetime. Loss of community respect goes along with a family member's addiction and incarceration. Shame is a real killer. Huge loss of a dear formerly, warm, compassionate, cheery, cooperative loved one.
It's taken me 10 months already to get my heart, gut, and brain back to a reasonably healthy life.
(Dancing and singing alone in my house and meditation help greatly!!!)

Watch out for side effects of statin drugs …at your age.
Seriously 🧡
I agree aging is indeed an important factor.
for the last 14 years i've been suffering from CONSTANT dizziness. the only time i don't feel dizzy is when i'm asleep. my face grows numb and hot. it feels like my brain ISN'T getting enough oxygen. but i don't have any of the symptoms in this video. the only thing that fluctuates with my condition is the severity of the dizziness. but the last 4 months its been SEVERE and i can barely function.
i've been to numerous so-called "doctors" over the last 14 YEARS but none of them give a shit! even when doctors schedule a test, an MRI for axample, some bureaucrat down the line SAYS NO and denies me the test. i was denied the last time because i don't have a ride home and the fascists prefer i remain VERY SICK than to hospitalize me!
I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION NOW! i'm close to suicide! i can no longer keep living in this hell! i've posted comments like this all over youtube the last several years and STILL no one gives a damn! i'm sick of this shit; the illness and the criminal apathy and negligence of the criminal american "medical" industry!
I’m so sorry your going through this....my grand daughter is now only 18 years old and I have been trying to get her help since middle school. I pray you find some help. She finally found out she has POTS. It’s still not taken seriously by any of the doctors and it’s devastating for her life functioning. Fins specials and ask to be tested for POTS. Again, please seek help mentally. It’s very difficult to cope when this happens in your life. Sending hugs and prayers. You matter.
Wrote a long reply. Effing disappeared before I could finish.. will circle back.. hang in there!!!
I'm so sorry you are going through such torment with such a lack of help. Praying the Lord will bless you with healing and a way forward from your struggles . Big hug!
Do you take blood pressure medicine? I was having dizzy spells and my b/p was always normal at the doctor's office but when at home it went too low. After I managed to convince them of this, they changed my medicine and I'm better now. I agree that the medical community is not taking care of us as well as they used to.
@@grandmajane2593 .... its not "dizzy spells" i suffer from but constant dizziness/light headedness." it doesn't go away. it fluctuates only in its severity. its not movement based. my face becomes hot and numb. i get metalic tastes in my mouth. i feel nauseous almost all the time.
i can't see where its life-threatening because i've had these symptoms now for 14 years! but my quality of life is in the gutter. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING except maintain the minmum requirements of life. occasionally i'll go through periods i can't function hardly at all. these are usually over in a week or less. but i'm having one of those periods now, THE LAST 4 MONTHS, and its not getting better.
i know i can't be the only person in medical history to suffer from these symptons. i ask doctors to do some research. there must be some past medical record of these symptoms. but doctors don't give a damn.
they'll order MRIs but my dizziness PREVENTS me from being awake for the test. hospitals deny me the test because i don't have a ride home. the ride must be from someone i know. BUT I DON'T KNOW ANYONE! and the doctors and hospitals REFUSE to hospitalize me overnight for the MRI!
emergency rooms refuse to hospitalize me. they tell me to see a DOCTOR! when i tell them my history they show me the door! AND I'M ON FULL MEDICARE! complaints to medicare DO NOTHING! complaints to the state medicaid DO NOTHING! i've complained to politicians AND THE NEWS MEDIA and NO ONE GIVES A DAMN! there's no end in sight and i'm tired of living IN THIS HELL!

Can low oxygen levels be the cause of macular degeneration?
Just listen to your video I'd have most of what u was talking about but I get up to do nothing then I'm fighting to breathe can't hold out to do nothing ; had a breathing test; x ray on my lungs that was good; MRI on my heart then was told at my age 76 just a few things but nothing to worry about so I ask why can't I breathe got no answer so I use an inhaler which don't help so answer me back and please help?. 10:14

92 and above. 98 is normal.

88 or better
Whoo hoo, I have all the symptoms so I win the prize. You forgot one symptom tho, tiredness and needing to sleep all the time. I’m always tired when my O2 is dipping into the 80s and struggle to stay awake.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms or suspect that your oxygen levels are low, we strongly recommend reaching out to a healthcare professional immediately. They can perform a thorough evaluation, conduct tests, and provide appropriate treatment based on your specific condition and needs.
Please remember that only a qualified healthcare provider can diagnose and address medical conditions effectively. Never hesitate to seek medical attention if you have concerns about your health or well-being.

Is 120/60 a normal blood pressure im 37 yrs old?
in general and without any other information, maybe
Yes it’s!
Seems average, you have to check it and average over time. It takes a while to get it. That is not a high reading by no means. Mine stays around 130/70 average, im overweight by about 45 pounds flirt with 200 pounds all the time.
Can't smoking marijuana lead to this? Since chronic smoke inhalation will clog up the Alveoli in your lungs, which are responsible for allowing oxygen into the bloodstream..
Smoke, no matter the source, is a pollutant in the lungs. Long term exposure can cause inflammation in the air sacs, which can lead to swelling and excessive mucus production.
TBH, I smoked pot, and it helped my bronchial asthma….💯✅♥️
Not a lot of course, everything in moderation
You have to remember what marijuana does to your circulation. You're heart rate increases for the first 30 mins - 1 hour, then it slows drastically.
❤
95% or higher is good
Low injection fraction of the heart can cause these symptoms. it is from heart failure. The heart is not pumping right.
