Always inspired by Simon's thoughts/insights. Great quotes (paraphrased) from this session: "Double down on being human." "Have necessary and uncomfortable conversations." "Now is not the time to be tone-deaf." "As leaders, we should be understood over being amplified." "A whisper becomes a shout from those of us in leadership." "Rivals can be a great source of inspiration!" Thanks for all that you do Simon. The infinite mindset is needed now more than ever.

The book "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl, that Simon mentions, is one of the greatest books ever written. I read it at 44 years of age and it completely changed my life. I can't wait to read "Yes to Life".

We should be the human beings that we are meant to be, paraphrasing Simon: "We should pick up the phone and call people we know, and say, 'hey, how are you doing!?' If ONLY someone from the campaign or someone who knew me called up on the phone and said, "Hey Dan, how are you doing!? I heard you're stressed as hell. How can I help!?," If ONLY that had happened, if only someone showed they cared, and appreciated my work. IF ONLY. I dream of a world where everyone behaves like this all the time because that is WHO we have BECOME as a species. I dream, I can only dream. As the common phrase goes as I had said all of the time: "I am just a man, standing alone on an island, doing the best I can with whatever I've got."

I hear you. Most are afraid to push back against the norms. You also have to accept that some like the system because they feel it works for them and people do tend to support what benefits them (mostly pay, power etc). Humans are pack animals they want to be in the majority so if you sound a bit different you have a harder time. Keep learning and celebrating what makes you different. Its been my experience that people who are different tend to outlast and persevere.

@@francamatheson8495 oh yes I absolutely agree with you about leaders who care for the employees will get much higher returns not just in business terms but personal values too! You have a task to perform and unfortunately we come across toxic people either who lead or we work with. We must adopt optimism and learn people skills succeed such people. You know your worth and value to yourself and your place of employment. Be the best despite the negative. This is learning to live with existential flexibility and thriving to be a fulfilling person in life. 💕 💕Much Love and prayers to you as you continue in kindness. 🙏

The interviewer for the most part went from question to question, she rarely followed up on any of his points, or ask him to elaborate further.
"hmm yeah good point" -OR - "hmm yeah that makes sense"
    - Next question.
A prompt card could've done the same job.
And that ending before the close down, sounded so disingenuous "hmm, right, yeah, fantastic... anyway I want to end on time".
Interviewing is a lost art indeed.

Wow. Simon Sinek is so engaging, if he would have had ANY sort of repoire with his interviewer what an incredible interview this would have been. Did she even listen to his answers before pouncing with a new question? And by “pouncing” I mean flatly asking a new unrelated question.

HOST: Please, please... try to learn not to give affirmation noises ("yea' 'uh huh" "ok" "uh huh again" "yea") A great guest like Simon can finish his thoughts without you nudging him along or let him know you are listening... he will finish his thoughts without your lead. HOST: (sorry, do not know your name).. You did do a great job with asking questions (short) and without giving YOUR OPINION as you ask... Interviewing is such a lost skill. You are a great young lady and well ahead of many.... Thank you for this video.

Big organization hire me and i find lot of problems i did meeting with my bosses and i said the problem over here is we have to change our vision and support and listen and think and communicate with the employees they fire me after week hahaha and now I'm without job. I think lot of company doesn't care about anyone. For me as leader we have to more open with the employees and stop to be selfish.

Great thoughts and ideals to live up to - unlikely that most business leaders will be able to achieve this given the nature of our society. She clearly needs to work on her responses to his highly expressive and thoughtful explanations - she seems bored and unimpressed.
