Hello, I use Canon R6 and I want to take iris macro photos. To capture more detail in the iris, I need to take a larger iris photo. Canon rf 100mm? Have you tried connecting Canon EF 100mm + extension tube?
I’ve never actually tried an extension tube. I use a 100mm macro lens in this video and it seemed to do the job just fine. Of course, the closer you can get, the more detail you’ll get. I don’t see why an extension tube wouldn’t benefit you in this situation
@@cevdetgunduz5314 couldn't tell you the exact distance but it was probably about that. I focused all the way to the left and moved the camera till the eye was tack sharp
Hi Matthew, great video and editing technique ! Maybe I haven´t heard it, but what's software you are using ? Photoshop ? or Capture One ? LR ? many many thx
Amazing work Matthew, I've just followed step by step and ended up with a great macro eye image ,Keep these very informative Videos coming 👏👍
INCREDIBLE THIS FANTASTIC VIDEO
Would it be possible to use a polarizer filter to get rid of the light reflection?
What is the best way to export after you're happy with the end result please?
File - export - quick export as PNG
If I exported like that would that be good enough quality / hi resolution for a large print?
@@MatthewGPhotography Would this be how you export it to be professionally printed via a lab?
Thanks, useful video, good results. Might try this on our dog too.
Thank you! And good luck getting them to stay still enough! 😂
So beautiful!
Thank you!
Can i do it with sony alpha a7iv with 70-200mm 2.8 lens ?
If you have this equipment, try and see how close you can get to the iris. The closer the better?
What a nice brown eye
damn this looks awesome
Thank you so much!!!
Nice work. Creating a template would also speed up the process. Then you only need to drop in an almost finished iris.
cool creative idea!
Thank you!

@@MatthewGPhotography Did you take the photos from a distance of 0.3m, which is the minimum focusing distance of the EF 100mm lens?
