J Mo - If you really don't want to be sexist, refer to females as women, not ladies. Men/ Women. Ladies implies someone sitting on a cushion with a cup of tea. Women is the equal of Men. Just words. But words make a difference to how we perceive ourselves. Otherwise we would have to call you Gentlemen and not Men. Also the fact that we are not using Women and use Girls or Ladies to refer to females implies that Women has a negative meaning. It does not. At least not in my world.

No one ever calls men 'gentle' any more. And when you use 'Ladies' to mean women, you imply that they have to behave daintily and demurely. Not so. We have reclaimed our savage selves thank god. Now take a hint from a female and address us correctly you dinosaur!

Bravo to your industriousness! Two things that might help: when preping the concrete, one might consider a renting a larger sander with 60 grit diamond wheel typically used for concrete smoothing. I winced a little when I saw you caulking the floor and using your finger to spread it smooth. For a perfect line, get the blue tape back out, apply it to your freshly painted and fully cured floor, then caulk and smooth with your finger or a caulking tool. When you remove the tape you'll have a perfectly straight, clean line.

This was great!! We were considering epoxy floors, but this seems like an easier process. We were concerned over sanding the whole floor and needing heavy machinery.

Looks beautiful, I just tore out my carpet in the master bedroom downstairs and was thinking about painting it. Now after watching your video believe that is what I need to do. Originally this house of about 3200 square feet was almost entirely carpeted even the staircase. It has been so much work to remove all of that ugly carpet. Well most of it's gone, one room at a time. Thank you for posting, you are very inspiring

Go for it!! Way to go, that sounds like a lot of carpeting to remove. I really appreciate your comment, thank you.

@@HomeWithStefani Making great progress now in the master bedroom. All of the carpets are gone at least in this room including the his and her closets. I went with nearly the same color scheme as you did with Park Avenue but used a dark sable brown for the trim and a very very light blue for the walls. I ran out of Park Avenue and found some discounted paint at Lowe's, a very light lime colored I used for the closets and the hallway going between to the attached bathroom and it looks very nice. Thank you for your inspiration.
