- After blowing out last J32 and not having the time or money to build an engine, Mena found a J35 hanging from one engine mount at the junk yard. So he grabbed it, paid $170, we threw it in the car and gave it some boost!

Sounded pretty strong, for what it is. Spooling up too full power quick. Definitely need a bigger better wastegate, that thing didn't sound like it was dumping at all! That would make me a bit nervous too. Definitely sounds like there's a bit more power there. I'm glad you took the safe route, till you get it all to 100%, and don't have to rush it. Dude I love it as soon as that turbo spools the whole car just lights off man. I bet its a riot to drive more people need to use these V6 engines the torque is instantaneous. Very good engine I like them there hard to find in the UK though

@@GARAGEIdiotS they do but its very hard to find them mainly in the uk there a 1.6 upto 2L 4 cylinder engines and even there very expensive at least in the northeast were I live they may be slightly cheaper down south but then its getting it to you it makes it very pricey. But v6 engines in the uk there pretty difficult to find if you do there terribly over priced or they have catastrophic engine failure issues.

i want to j swap my s13. ive researched GM transmission adapters and some other bits but am still new to the J series. for a turbo application would you suggest the j35 or j32?

Depends which model tl. Rarely ever see any 99 to 03 tls turbo. Seems like the market is getting better with support for turbo or supercharger applications. Also cause the tls didnt come with manual transmissions til 04.
Here is to me trying to make my 2004 Acura TL (J32A3) a FBO/FlashPro an N/A sleeper. Only got Intake, CBE, J-Pipe mods on for now. Might even run boost in the future once done.

I love the Vue, it’s a great sleeper. None of the bug or hawk eye subies in my area expect a 2004 with 230k miles on it to beat them.
Did you end with a torque reading? Seems like it’s really putting some power down for being in the 400s. I’m gonna assume your peak torque number would be close to peak power on that setup
We don’t have torque numbers but we’re also guessing torque is between 390-410
What two sensors did you guys replace ?

At this point they both are neck and neck. Foxbody edges out the hondas by a bit

Did I hear right? It requires j35 cam position covers on j32 heads in order to run "hall effect" sensors. Is that right?
There are hall and mag sensors, if I remember correctly we had to have the ecu set for hall unless you want to switch the sensors but AEM will set it for either I think

I did mdx 2006 swap j35a8... Completely failed. Bell housing to long and tourqe converter leak. By the time figure out end of funds so had to give up.... Need to use face method for tourqe converter bolts. Need spacers
