Too many people underestimate what the K24 is capable of in terms of power. It's literally just waiting for you to boost it.
The opposite 24 has that instant torque most people prefer to swap 24s into there cars instead of k20s

@@Taoka-actually k20’s are alittle better as far as how high you can take the rpm’s. K24 rev much lower, I have a 2014 si and I’m saying this 😅😅🙏
@@JayGotIt23stock the k20 only revs about 1000rpm more. If the k24 gets a modified s2000 oil pump or acura rsx type s oil pump it will rev pretty high. I like the k24 for the torque.

Vtec and turbo ramps in at 4500.
93 pump gas. 16ish psi.
Upwards of 500whp.
Dynoed at 10lbs made 435/295.
Stock motor? What clutch, anything done to trans? Or just injectors and boost? I bet thats a fun car.

@@whatta7793 At the time of when I commented, yes. It had stock block and tranny. Fx400 clutch. Now I have k24a, Springs/retainers and types pump for 9k redline. Still stock block for now. ID1300X injectors, E85. Fx500 clutch. Built tranny with BF gearset and 4.3fd. Dynoed at 566/400 at 16-17psi.
Yes, it's quite fun.
@@jeffreyburgos954 Depends on what you're looking for. Stock feeling power, linear powerband but limited with amount of power you're able to push out. Or high power and much more potential. Also turbo noises are cool.

Thats why i went with the 9th gen over the 10th and 11th. The K24Z7 holds boost really good. And it still revs to 7200rpms.
the L15 is an newer economy engine not really built for power like the k series but can be made to have fun with, honestly i wouldnt push over 280hp on a L15, ive seen some scary stuff, reminds me that i should cahnge back to stock MAF instead of a big bore size as i get the essence of clutch in my cabin
Yea I've never had a Civic (been aware of them though), and I wouldn't buy anything newer than the '15 with the K24 honestly.. I think Honda kinda fumbled it with the 1.5 -- but idk, I've never had a Civic, but the K was too legendary to get rid of.. imagine just boosting a K from the factory, even if it was a small small turbo, 300~ hp? Now that would have been sick.
Stock is actually 7,500 when you test it. I know on paper they say 7,200 but try it for yourself. You’ll get 7,500 all day long
Type s oil pump, hondata and skunk tuner cams will get that 9k rpm
This make me more motivated to make my 9th boosted for real love the vid!!!

i just bought a 2015 fg4, with 46k… been enjoying it very throughly and learning the car. my first k and my first 6 speed… was thinking of going the supercharger route to be different but man this makes me want to throw a 🐌 at it so bad.

I have a 2015 FB6. Bought it brand new in 2015 with 11 miles. Currently at 105k miles, it's been my daily. I was thinking about trading it in for a FK8 type R this year, but now this video makes me want to boost it. 😂

@@Lv100FlexingFurby Type R is a very good car stock. I drove one, and it really made me want one due to the handling capabilities. That third gear is no joke. But now I'm thinking of buying an s2000 and keeping the Si to boost it. My Si been paid off for 2 years. I might slowly save up for a turbo kit, and upgrade surrounding parts like my clutch, suspension, etc through out this year, then do it next year. Sometimes I just talk a lot, but I really want an AP2 s2k

i bought my fb6 used with 15k miles on it in 2016. now it's at 80k miles and still bone stock. i haven't done anything to it. this video makes me want to boost it so much because like the owner said, you eventually get bored with its power after a while.
