enjoying these videos pal. I've got a Transit Connect myself, an 05 plate. Bought it for £1000 with 121k on the clock with a year mot. MOT has just failed so i'm now going through and fixing them bits up. Fuel leak (not sure where yet tho), hole in the sill, abs sensor and some roll bar linkage.
I'm looking forward to doing some cosmetic work to it once fixed as it is my daily driver i use it for work so spend more time in it than the car. One thing i need to do which made me laugh on your video is my fan speed inside, its either 0 or 4.

Getting one of these in November when my Audi comes off the rd , wanting to mod it a bit but use it for a motocross van . want the lwb version tho . how was yours lowered ? Flip leaf spring an I'm guessing sum ford parts up front ? I.e focus bits or summat lol
Flipped rear axle and lowering springs on front! All my connects I’ve had have been lowered when I’ve bought them so I’ve never done it myself. There’s a website called modyourconnect.co.uk and I believe they sell a range of lowering parts such as lowered rear leaf springs and even GAZ coilovers for the front 🤷🏻♂️ give it a look! I do think they’re the same front end as a focus so parts should fit! Hope this helps thanks for watching!

Finding it hard to find an alright one of these for under a thousand I had one a few years ago I swear they've gone up in price lol
Max Bosanko they may well have done haha! They’re good vans and always in demand! I’ve normally paid around £1000-1500 for them when I’ve got them, most of the time for that price you’ll need to put a set of sills on which I think are about £40 each! Keep looking online I’m sure one will come up! 👍🏻

hey mate, had my connect for a few months now and have done a few choice mods on it, might have copied you quite a lot, i have a pair of those ghia wheels aswell lol... im looking at getting some seats for it, i saw you had recaros, did you buy them off a ford and they fit straight it? or did you have to mod the seat bracket? do you know the dimensions? or if all ford ones will fit? cheers in advance, loz
Laurie Williamson haha very nice mate!! 👍🏻 they’re standard fiesta rs Turbo seats! I never actually put them in because I’ve sold the van and moved onto a MK7 Transit Sport 🤑 HOWEVER... you would need to create a custom base for the runner to sit on, wouldn’t be a straight for by any means! Can be done though just need a bit creativity haha!! Hope your little project goes well 😁

You need to make custom bases for the seats, they will all be different depending on the van and the seat! Have a google see if you can find some helpful info for the ones you want to put in 😁
A complete random question here - Can the rear seats from a connect crew be retro fitted easy enough?
I believe there’s a panel in the floor that can be removed for seats, but I’m not 100 sure. I’d take it to a company to get them out in if it was me 🤷🏻♂️
What size are your wheels and times on your van ?

What seats bud and how much. Just had my van signed up for my buisness. And now wanting to subtle mod her. Since I’ve sold my car and just using the van.
they're out of a Fiesta RS Turbo, have a look online as prices vary depending on condition. I'd say as a rough estimate for a good pair of seats you'll be looking at anywhere from £300 plus.

Martin Smith I’ve now sold the van mate, but would need customer mounts made as far as I could tell, might be able to use the original bases but definitely some custom work to get them to fit! 👍🏻
