So I didn't notice before I uploaded that all my edits in the last part of the video didn't save, which means that talking section was way longer than we anticipated (and the end of the video was less than elegant, ha!). If you watched all the way through, thanks for hanging with us!
No problem, Y'all my boys😅
Lincoln Brewster is THE MAN my all time favorite praise and worship guitarist! Absolutely captured the sound and feeling of LB.
I love your Helix videos and all of WT other content. Huge fan of what you guys do. I bought a Helix LT that I now use for my home church and it has changed the way I play and has inspired me to become better.
I know the riffs are super hard, but it would be awesome to hear an attempt to capture his higher gain sounds. Reaching For You, Let Your Glory Shine, So Good...
Thanks Bradford for this. sounds so good on that Suhr, I might need to purchase this lol.
Nice tone man! Nailed that awesome Brewster tone..
Always good!
He uses the wah on live version of Let the Praises Ring too on some dotted 8th stuff in verse. Sounds so cool, it’s on one of his tutorial dvds.
He also likes the Tube Drive pedal which is in legacy section now.
Sweet dude!
The white Suhr, the exact guitar I want. Well I have the HSS Fender Strat version with Thornbucker Plus in the bridge, Suhr V60LP in the middle and neck position. My wiring harness for Obsidian is trick too. I’d still buy the Suhr you have though.
Love the (that we can actually play part) lol
🙏🏾❤️🔥🇧🇷 muito bom
Is the same IR used on most of your patches essentially a 2x12 V30 since that’s what the line 6 stock cab is?
Muito bom
After using various pedals on my board for years, a friend let me borrow his Helix to try out. I just can't bond with it, what am I missing? It sounds so sterile and tinny to my ears.
My current set up at church, is my SuperSonic 60W in an iso-cab off stage and DI'd to the house. The chain is as follows: Dunlop Volume-Poly Tune, Wampler Ego, Keeley Katana Boost, Mad Professor Bluebird, Xotic Effects Soul Driver, Source Audio Gemini, BBE Tremolo, Strymon BlueSky, Eventide Time Factor with Analog Alien Aux switch. Try as I might, I can't replicate my tone with the Helix. I guess I just don't know how to drill down into it to set up and arrange the effects.
Hi guys! Any update for this patch? I’m looking for a good dotted eight sound, hope you give us a very close one to lincoln style. God bless you Bro!
Hi.. do you have tutorials for this is our time?
What are the chords to all to you? Theres like 2 chords in there that are like 7ths ir something
There are a couple guitarist that do a bang up job on mirraculum song;and one in particular..don’t know his name off handy? But he does as close to Lincoln Brewster as you can get.
Can i use this on my HX Effects?
He used to play for Steve Perry back in the day
name of the song on the first riff showed?
more of #Lincoln Brewster
More Lincoln!! Alot of it's not that hard it just fast. You've got to get the patterns under your fingers. And then you're good. Slow is clean and clean is fast 😉
Matthew Winter Rocket science isn’t that difficult once you understand it. 😀
@@chadt5584 if you know the major scale, Pentatonics, and where your Chord tones are you can play Brewster.
Matthew Winter I know. It’s just funny to hear how very difficult things aren’t hard....once you learn and master them. I.e. rocket science isn’t difficult for those who have mastered it. 😀
That we can actually play XD 🤣😂🤣😂
Rumor has it that Lincoln Brewster played with Steve Perry on one of his solo tours before becoming the Christian worship leader that we know today.
That's true man... I saw him in the video. He is really a legend of Christian guitarist. Glad now he used his talent for God
It's not a rumor at all, he talks about it all quite a bit in his testimony.
ua-cam.com/video/F0RglLi91iY/v-deo.html Here's a video with Perry back in the 90s
Pretty awesome that he changed his paths so greatly to become who he is today
Apparently I didn't scroll down far enough lol
My cousin plays bass at Bayside Church in Sacramento, and he's been blessed enough to play with Lincoln
Y’all record this in a deep freeze?
Miraculum is cool though!
You should do one of these for elevation and Verticle
Try with his model :) a brighter tone he has
He's actually using a Kemper now
MrAhhlix literally on your using a POD actually ;)
Tour*
@@bmitchellmusic oh really? Didn't know that. Either way, killer tones dude!
What pickups are those?
Joel Johnson Suhr SSVs!
@@bmitchellmusic what is the neck pickup?
Sorry, V60s
First
Bad news Brian and Bradford, y'all spelt favourite wrong in the thumbnail :(
Ha we live in ‘Murica, the land devoid of unnecessary ‘U’s’ (and I fixed the error - thanks for the heads up!)
I think its abit far from Him😜 to be honest... But still great.
Lincoln’s older tones have me seriously considering buying a POD instead of a helix...
I miss the electric guitar praise songs era, synth isnt just for me, ambient is my alternative goto
Lol dude I feel you. I miss all the sick hillsong hendrix riffs. At least theres a big catalogue of it. You should check out old songs from Kutless or the old planetshaker songs, super heavy metal riffs lol.
Clipping a lot. Good sound though.
Bradford's careless handling of his guitar is giving me anxiety.
This video was not at all what I thought it would be. With the playing at the beginning I thought this would be like other videos where there would be a few seconds/minutes of intro playing followed by talking, and for this video title, a talk and demo of these 5 favorites. Instead we have minutes of random playing followed by a discussion of which effects peddle Brewster uses.
Fender5621 these are parts from Lincoln’s songs. The titles are on the bottom right.
Thanks for the information. But for myself I do not like this presentation style compared to your other videos.
Bro, I learned Miraculum earlier this year (at 15, I'm 16 now) and I thought and still think it's one of his easiest to play...
Too bad most worship music doesn’t sound anything like this. Most of it is very boring and just seeking emotional responses with teary eyed singers singing tired and worn out lyrics for the seekers out there.
Some Dude I would be careful to make judgements about someone’s heart in writing a worship song. I would agree that it’d be great to have more songs in this style tho :)
Bradford Mitchell eh I’ve never been one to just be a yes man. Most of it is just for sales for the next passion movement. Wouldn’t surprise me if Satan already took over the music industry within the Christian genre. That’s what’d I do. Songs like “reckless love” and “so will I” and “days of Elijah” and other non-Scriptural songs are already welcomed by many. It’s a slow fade.
Great guitar player but his music is just awful nowadays. Sorry.
Nah...
God of the impossible album was pretty amazing
