I didn’t know who he was until this video, and I enjoyed his video and hearing him talk. There’s a lot of passion and enjoyment of the instrument in his words and playing.
Just Googled him and he’s a Christian singer and worship pastor, that’s awesome!
There's a good amount of footage of Steve Perry's solo tour (New York in 1994 i believe is the specific concert ) - Lincoln was handling guitar in the band. Dude has seen it all.

I didn't know who he was. Once I learned he's a P&W guy I wanted to hate everything about this but I just couldn't. He's a cracking guitarist and listening to him talk was really inspiring. Ended up with nothing but respect and admiration.
You have to check out Steve Perry's "For the Love of Strange Medicine" album that Lincoln is on.
I had to move all my guitar heroes down one position because of his solos on there. Seriously.
@@StratMatt777I heard that album and immediately voted for him as "Best New Player" for Guitar World that year. Steve Perry was incredibly impressed by him and Randy Jackson who was in A&R at the time basically introduced him to Steve.

It's hard to believe that Lincoln wasn't more recognized by people. Regarding any person who doesn't recognize his talent... I pity the fool!
I have always been a LB fan, being a worship guitar player. But hearing him mention Jeff Beck then play in that style just rekindled an appreciation for Lincoln that had become lost over the years. This was awesome, fender!
Man Lincoln’s the Brad Paisley of Christian / Rock music. All the different scales he uses in his music sounds so cool. Hopefully he does a new tour soon,

In 1992 I was 15 and my parents gave me a choice: a car or a strat. I've still got my pearl white, maple neck strat - almost exactly like Lincoln's. Best decision ever.

That tune he’s shredding on with the scratchy gain tone around 8:00 mark is just stupid!! Sounds really good! Glad to hear him staying in touch with that side of his style. He’s killing it!
I happened to be in a guitar store and saw this model on display. I definitely did not plan to purchase a new guitar that day but after sitting with it, I didn’t want to put it down. It is custom shop level at “regular” pricing. Congrats to Lincoln on such a fine instrument (and amazing chops too). 😎

I love his playing!! Saw him Live twice playing for Steve Perry and was blown away by his playing on For the Love of Strange Medicine and on the tour. Have followed him ever since. This guitar looks so sweet.

I had never heard of Lincoln, but I bought the gold version the week it launched because I liked the specs. It’s the best strat Fender has ever offered. If this one had a rosewood fretboard, I’d be buying a second LB signature.

I had one the GREATEST adventures of my life being able to watch Lincoln play in his basement so many times in the house out East End Road.
We all knew he was going to go and share his talents with the rest of the world and as a novice player, my self… I learned more from those basement visits then any lessons I have ever taken.

Played the gold one awhile back and it’s a great Strat. Really like the changes on this one, but it’s $350 more than a Beck, Clapton or SRV.
I hear ya - those guys are legends and those are great guitars too. However this has locking tuners, compound radius, 2 boosts built in to the guitar and silent single coils that actually sound great. I think that's worth $350 (at least to me)

At 8:09 ish, it really sounds Tele-ish to me. This is indeed a versatile guitar. I do love the Area pickups. I have an Area '61 in my Strat's neck posn. and a Virtual Solo in the Bridge, and love them.

I've played a lot of guitars, but I've never played one as fully functional as this one. However, I wish it would be released in a wider variety of colors. What I want is a vintage style 2 tone sunburst.

Lincoln is the closest thing we have to Jeff Beck now that Beck is gone. I had thought about buying a gold one, but the Olympic Pearl White is a drool worthy no-brainer. It will match my Fender Custom Shop 63 Olympic White Strat in a cool way. I was blessed to buy a Fender 56 CS Heavy Relic Strat from Lincoln about 10 years ago that used to be one of his main touring and recording guitars. There is a gear video from 2007 or 2008 where he shows it and talks about it. He calls it a 57 in the video, but it is actually a 56. I did get to talk to him about the guitar and its history briefly. You can hear it a lot on recordings from Today Is the Day, Real Life and Oxygen. I am older now and not as active playing worship at church currently due to work and life. So, I sold the 56 CS Strat to a young man, and fellow worship musician, named Calvin in Oklahoma last year. 🙂
