This is a Lincoln Brewster inspired patch. This patch captures his inspired pedals from the "What Kind of Man" era all the way up to "Relativity." dude. i had no idea who you were until i bought a line 6 spider v and heard your "dreamy clean" patch. you have THE EAR for sure. i love both of the patches you included, but especially the dreamy clean- which is really a perfect lead tone that cleans up with just a volume knob. i can play anything from eric johnson to husker du to john mayer with it.
anyone out there reading this comment- if you want a dumble without spending any huge $$, buy this amp and listen to this patch. most surreal sounding dumble OD special type tone you can get!

Great patch with warm sweet single coil tones that are useable for anything from clean tones, to a perfect driven Strat sound. This is going to be my go to patch for my Strat from now on!

"I am a dad of two boys (4 & 2) and being so busy it is challenging at times to find time to craft patches in my PodGo. I play lead guitar on the worship team at my church and we play Lincoln Brewster songs such as “Reaching For You”, “So Good”, “There Is Power”…etc. The Gold Strat Guy patch is plug and play dead on for the Lincoln Brewster tone!
I will also add that the patch has great options in stomp box mode to change what you need on the fly! Along with my Strat, I have run my Les Paul, 335 and Jazzmaster through the patch and all sound great! Of course if you want the Lincoln tone the Strat is the WAY TO GO! However, I love using the patch because of the versatility in tone across different types of guitars. I love the Lincoln Brewster tone and Joey NAILED this one!"

Good job on this. However, a lot of lincoln sound is derived from his strat and the way he plays. Having the X3 live just shows that even an old piece of gear that was discarded by many could sound so good given the right guitarist

Great video, I've been looking for a tone like this that can go from clean to dist without switching patches. I don't have a POD pedal, but I have a multiFX pedal from another brand. What Amp sim are you using for this tone?
Now I'm fully convinced that 80% of tone comes from your finger.. It really varies from person to person yet such an inspiration to see you adapting his tone.. God bless bro😊.

I purchased the preset for my hx stomp and I have Lincoln Brewster signature Strat as well but the preset is kinda low gainy and it don’t sound the same in this video. How do I fix that? I apologize I’m new to line 6 hx thank you!
Hey man! Thanks for downloading the patch! I’d recommend boosting the gain on the distortion or boosting the amp drive.

Thank you! Yes. I recorded via usb directly into logic, but for live use, I just use the direct outputs to the PA.

@@garyleecox5950 just click on the link in the description appropriate to whatever pedal you have, and it will direct you to a place where you can pay I believe it was 5 or 6 dollars. After that, just click "download," and the file will save to your computer. Once it is on your computer, you will need to open HX edit on your computer for any Line 6 pedal and hook it up to your pedal to actually save the patch to your pedal's files.

@@joeycobra Love the Gold but the Nitro !! Wears so quickly if that doesnt bother ya. I have an Eric Johnson and thought I got a bum paint job which is when I learned about the Nitrocellulose paint and how quickly it breaks down. Oh well... hey great job on the video as well as your playing, speaks volumes that LB commented and such a great Brother in the Lord to acknowledge you.

Thanks! One of the main reasons for buying that strat was the uniqueness of the color.
LB also does a brief solo on "I am in love with you" on Darryl Evans song. I didn't realize it was him at first but listening back his tone and style are all over that bridge/outro solo.

I’m fixing to upgrade my rig, and I’m stuck between helix, kemper stage, and fractal FM3. This is the first time that I’ve heard a helix tone and thought holy cow! I would buy this tone right now. Do you have an opinion on the other 2 for worship or are you just into the helix?
For now, I’m very much into the Line 6 products because I like their tones and user experience. The ability to edit the tones through their computer software is a game changer. However, I see a lot of people use the Kemper for worship but they have a massive analog board attached to it.
Depends on what you like and how much money you have in your budget. I like the helix because I can grab and go and have great tones.

Hey Robert! That’s a great idea. I have a lot of Brewster related videos but not a general type. I’ve practiced a lot of his songs over and over and bought his dvds back in the day. There are some tricks that he does that might be great to do a video for.

i bought this preset for hx stomp. There are 3 presets but no changes after changing. why?
Love your patch I downloaded it awhile back and its my main HX stomp patch that I use at church. I have a question.
I had to put a hard gate on my patch because of the horrible buzz I’m getting, I’ve gotten rid of it but I’m loosing the dynamics and am not able to do swells or pick strings lightly. My question is do you have a specific gate setting that allows for little noise but more dynamics?
I need to adjust the settings manually but just wanted to know if you had a setting that works for going direct to P.A.
Hey Lavon! Thanks for picking up the patch. Does your guitar buzz on any other patches used through the PA. I know sometimes when I play in certain buildings the electrical system causes pretty bad buzzing through my guitar. If you're going to add a harder gate, I'd suggest messing with the compressor block. Maybe adjusting the threshold can bring back some of the dynamics you're looking for. If you're looking for cleaner guitar sounds, maybe pulling back on the drive on the distortion will help brighten the guitar tone and add more percussiveness to the signal. Hope this helps!

Lincoln’s POD X3 patch has been available for years and for free. Did you not just copy the 3 patches he used the most from that file and create your Helix patch from that?
I transferred the same concepts from the pod x3 live over to the Helix and made some effects additions because the Helix allows for more effects blocks than the x3 live.
Im going to be running the Pod Go through the effects loop in my amp. Will it sound a lot different from the sounds displayed here?
will the helix version (all effects) be compatible with the hx stomp? I know I don't get many blocks In the stomp, so it would be cool to be able to swap out effects and being able to make custom patches
Hey man. So you won’t be able to load the helix patch directly to the HX stomp. You’ll get an error message when you do that. However, I do free tone consulting for people who order my patches. If you’re willing, you can order the HX stomp patch and I’ll walk you through and help you swap out effects blocks.
