Those 3.6 pentastar v6 are the most underrated sounding v6’s ever, most dont know how great they sound with a resonator delete, i had a wrangler with the same engine, beautiful sound! It sounds almost like a vr38 from nissan
The straight pipe might have sounded interesting with dual outlets all the way out to the rear of the car and an H-pipe somewhere in the middle to add some body to the tone, as opposed to an X-pipe that may have made the exhaust note more high pitched and irritating. A J-pipe (1/4 wave resonator) or a Helmholtz canister-style resonator would have dealt with the drone. I prefer the sound of the straight pipes, but the Borlas did help mellow out the tone of the exhaust note nicely. I think this effort gets a solid B+/A-...!
I love how your business basically gets 2x the opportunities to perform labor on the customer’s vehicles. The first time is where they have their OEM piping randomly chopped up, with no research on how it will sound or perform. The second opportunity is when the customer realizes it drones or sounds like ass, and comes back to have you make make revisions. Imagine if they just purchased manufactured and researched piping from a reputable brand, and just came to the shop for the install?
A month worth of the most unnecessary exhaust work imaginable, yet Jimmy boy still repping temp tags. Bet a mil those tags will still be there this time next year. And Jimmy will still be out trying to race everything on the road with his v6 Cherokee. By that time, engine light will def be flashing. Hard fart on this one
And it ait even a higher trim.. he lying these go for $46k-50 fully loaded if he did pay more that he dumb at least get summit or overland trim ... Smdh. They are color match wheel wells not the flat black
I had a 2014 Grand Cherokee 3.6 I had the mid and rear cut out and had two pipes coming out the rear. People thought I had a V8, and thought I wanted to race them
Borla for the win because even though the straight pipes sounds better than the borla, it dosen't mean it's better than borla on the v6 grand cherokee though
A specific frequency that causes vibration, often comes with muffler deletes in lower rpms. Drives you nuts, noone wants it and causes headaches very quickly.
I love an engine sound loud but sounds to me like a honda I did on my 2021 a diferent mod I would do a video of what I think sounds diferent and sounds more like a v8 no pipes changed
Muffler delete hence its name you just delete the parts that are very large and kill most of the sound basically straight piping it. They installed borla mufflers specifically s types so that it’s a perfect balance between sound and vibrations inside the car
@@areen3965if borla is balance between sound n vibration. Would straight piping mean solely on sound? I want to know in case I want to modify my exhaust sometime. Thanks In Advance!🕺🏽
@@xlgubrel straight piping it definitely makes a difference in sound but for example on a long road trip the back passengers would be very uncomfortable due to the sounds and vibrations and too much drone, adding any type of muffler (NON STOCK) will definitely increase the sound perfectly
It sounded so good straight piped tho, especially for a V6!

Did he say he payed 60k for that v-6 jeep?
Stealerships are getting crazy
Yeah. Mopar prices are ridiculous these days. I was thinking of picking up a brand new Chrysler 300 S and that's how much they wanted.
i payed 53k
I paid 28 but I also work at the dealership 😂
Yea no way it’s an altitude so 45k

We wouldn’t have any content then
I like BOTH of these viewpoints
This ones in the More money then brains category
This man wants to be a trackhawk so bad
That honestly sounds good

Amen, bro. Most of the people rolling through to get exhaust work done at this place have their check engine light and TPMS going off.
I just did my 2023 Overland, love it. It does drone but I like it. I do have dual outlet pipes however.
They got him for $60k on that?

I think there's no in-between with these v-6s I would take the straight pipe
Yikes. Honestly just a muffler swap for a flowmaster flowfx makes for a great sound. Sounds bone stock with 0 drone. Then open throttle it screams.
love this now I know what mufflers I want for my 3.6 impala
Sounds awesome. Love that sound.

lol In your dreams Skippy!! 🤣🤣
I wouldn't have bothered, you just made that vehicle annoying to drive long distance. All V6 engines should be silenced and forgotten about.
So you did a Y pipe, resonator delete, muffler delete and a borla s type muffler install, correct?
I have a jeep 3.6 2021 and I just put a borla cat back on it and it sounds amazing. No drone in cab.
Sounds similar to the v6 on a 350 or 370z
The 3.6 pentastar wish it could sound VQ good
Sounds good
why to a brand new suv
No fucks given about resale value.
@@MikeJohnson-ej4oc i just dont understand. id understand a v8 suv, but why a v6 suv? its not even a sport orentated vehicle at all.
Link for Borla S Type
They should make these in SRTz I bet they coming soon
Hold the Rpms at 2500 for 6 seconds and floor it it will rev fully one time (I drive one)
You sound like that kid telling guys how to do burnouts
Borla for the win because even though the straight pipes sounds better than the borla, it dosen't mean it's better than borla on the v6 grand cherokee though
Not bad for minimal cubes
Should've Done Birla ATAK
Should have done straight pipe with an x pipe with a small resonator
66k my ass. 49,500 sticker.
Nice work! 😎👊🏻🔨 Sounds pretty good. Sounds better with the Borla.
what is drone?

@@Falco_e46is any way to remove that sound?
@@plebegamer824 yeah, a few things slightly help, muffler obviously too, but if you target a specific rpm then J pipes or helmholtz resonators

The Borla S exhaust def sounds much better.
why advertise you have the weakest engine for that suv?
Sounds like a Z
Sounded better with the borla!
Much better with the Borla
Hi could you tell me what muffler it is exactly and what yall did installing it. Sounds great

MENGA MINT!!!
Sounded horrible straight piped, much better with the Borla 👍
Bro got hit 66k for a Laredo ? Even limited is 56k and that’s not an overland or a summit so he lying lol
Jeep should have used a v8 in those, the 3.6L they use are just as bad if not worse than GM’s 3.6L.
They are solid.
I said fuck it and deleted my ram 2500 diesel
Sounds nasty should have kept it stock
Yep too loud sounds like💩
