    'I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel alone.. .' - Robin Williams
    As a fellow Aspie, I find your content very relatable and authentic, you should have way more subs than you do atm! , hopefully that will change soon 🙏

      @futureshock5641 thank you buddy, I swear I replied to this but I can’t see it now. That is such a true reflection, people definitely can make us feel more alone. Wicked quote ✨ Since getting comfortable with myself I actually very rarely want human interaction ~ but the internet is also good for finding likeminded people that aren’t as draining. Thank you for your encouragement, it’s so appreciated!! 🌞

    Similarly, I'm also a late-diagnosed AuDHD'er who fancies the drink. I like painting, but generally won't do so without being blasted. Today however, inspired by your words, I've been painting without drinking and it's going well. 🙂

      @@redhawkredhawk77com that is awesome! I know how challenging it is to switch our brain from habitual stuff. But once you prove to yourself it’s possible.. one starts to wonder what else is possible. What else is lurking in there ready to come out? Painting is definitely an internal process, can be very emotional too, so I can understand the link to drinking. I went from barely having a day away from it, to never, ever craving it. I realised it was my way of not dealing with my internal ‘stuff’ I’d built up. Wasn’t half as scary starting to let it out, as it was trying to bloody suppress it. You’ve reminded me how much I love to paint too.. i might just do that this coming week. Thank you!! 🙌🏼🌞

      Awh you're most welcome! Thank you for spending a little time together Michelle! If you fancy a lift, go take a peep at the @owakenbreathwork channel (they offer a free 5-minute breathwork 'how to' video). It really shakes off the cobwebs! 🧡

    Lets begin again, again, again. You don't gotta worry about losing friends if you never made any, heyo! See I knew I was smart. It took me hundreds of attempts before I was able to stop alcohol and nicotine. My body helped me out and made them less and less bearable. It's been a year for me and now just feel stuck, but at least I'm not an alcoholic any longer.

      Hello hello! Awh, thank you so much! Yes, well spotted! I now live on a barge?! Haha. Funny how life can surprise us if we're only willing to loosen the reins a little! I would never have said I was a boat person but I absolutely love it! It's quite spacious though at 26 metres long 😁💚

      @@Nicnac13 I did for a very short time in the first few weeks. As much as I align with some of the concepts, it wasn’t for me in the long term. There are many paths of recovery but one size (in my opinion formed from both experience and research) does not fit all 🌞

      @recoverywithme  4 місяці тому

      Hey, cool that you're starting a channel! I haven't made a specific thumbnail for this video but I usually use Canva (they have both free and paid versions) to play around with thumbnail ideas, that you then upload alongside your video. Loads of good UA-cam videos on this too! Good luck with your new project!!

      Day 1..wow I felt so hungover from my latest bender I just focused on getting through that 24 hours..like being in a horrible factory job and constantly looking at the clock ⏰️...on day 3 I remember writing a list of reasons to stop drinking and a list of reasons to keep drinking..I had 17 reasons to stop and like 2 to keep drinking...I'd say the most important part of going sober is adjustments to your life..I.e...not going to the pub even for a can of coke...turning your phone off at 5pm on the first 3 weekends to remove the problem of so called friends pestering you..there's lots of adjustments actually...alcohol and human beings is a very. Very complex subject in my opinion..because every single person on the planet who drinks will have a unique relationship with alcohol.
