For the foam tape, I fold it back onto itself, full width, then cut it down the middle. Then I can curve it around with the backing still on it. I can also cut into any width, like thirds, if I need it.
Beautiful colors. Beautiful dies. Beautiful card. After securing the sticky foam tape all around, take an embossing buddy and rub it all over the sides that are close to the window, helps the sequins and glittery bits not to stick!
I’ve been crafting for decades and have never thought to fold the double sided foam tape in half. That was downright genius! Thanks for sharing all of your creative tips.
Lovely card! Love love love! Use your needle nose tweezers to pull off the release paper from the glue strip after burnishing. Comes off quite easily that way. Works perfectly for me.
There’s your T-square again! Some months ago I actually bought a second standard T-square from Simon and cut it down in length. It worked fine too, but then I saw the new one-yay!
Pretty card! Love my new limited edition Platinum 6 too! It's my first Spellbinders die cutting machine. I bought it to have a machine to fold up to travel with and to use with my Spellbinders Glimmer Foil Machine and the color matches my craft room! All my others were Sizzix.
Just a beautiful shaker card Cathy! Not clean and simple as you usually do, but I adore it and it's good to branch out every once in a while because you do such good work regardless of style. I *love* that Imperia cover plate, it's on my Wish List at SSS.
Seriously though. Your manicure is fabulous 👌. Everything about this card is crafty perfection. I love how you cascaded your sequins on the this card. As always, thank you for the share. Look forward to your next card sesh 👉
Dearest Cathy, I enjoy your “craft / dining room” videos. You create some great products!!! I love the “mwah” die cut on this collection!!! You are so talented!!! ♥️🎄💚♥️🎄💚♥️🎄💚
Love this card! My OCD would not allow me to not finish the inside(where the foam tape is )!!! I would have to give it a border so you didn't see the innards of the card!!! LOL...
Oooh. Great idea on the foam tape and acetate so the sequins don’t stick! I had heard years ago a dryer sheet keeps static off of acetate. Doesn’t the powder cloud the acetate?
@@dizzinese you gently brush it off the acetate with a soft paint brush. I learned this from watching many tutorials here on UA-cam. I don’t have any acetate myself yet, so haven’t tried any shakers yet. Maybe in the spring I’ll be able to get some to play with. It’s fun seeing and learning. 😊
Your commentary always cracks me up!! I don't know how you got all those little slivers of foam behind the skinny letters, but it does look awesome raised like that! Adorable shaker card!
Say, that was a very beautiful card you made. I still have a lot of angst to try those shaker cards again. I watched you do that difficult form and have gained just a little more confidence.
Great card - I get buying the new machine just because. I have a silhouette and scan n cut digital die cut machine and yet, part of me thinks I need a cricut
Love the new Spellbinder, gorgeous colour. Adorable shaker card. I do love a shaker card. You must have heard shouting at you to stick with the gold sentiment 😂😂, seriously, I was shouting at you!! 😂😂😂. I also do the hand Slash diningroom along with you at the start of every video. Yep, I’m needing seen to. 🤪🤪🤪. Love you Cathy, you always make me laugh ❤️❤️
This is adorable! I love that this could be done with just about any die that has a shadow. You may have just designed my Valentine’s Day card for my hubby, too! 😂 Thanks so much! 😊❤️
Awesome card. Thank you, Cathy. So excited about the Mis-T square. Was going to buy it the other day, but was kinda waiting to see if anyone else liked it. 💕
Lovely shaker…love anything pink…congratulations on your new platinum…I too have a brush set for each ink collection but I only use Gina K and Tim Holtz..great idea for the foam tape… tfs…blessings dear one 🙏
I like to lift the score tape from the side, not from the edge that is cut to size. There seems to be some overlap of the release paper, so it is easier to catch. Just works for me.
Hi Cathy, Try Tim's remnant rub tool to peel off the score tape - the flat end. Works like a charm for me. It may not be pokey but it seems to work every time. I think I saw him use it when he was demoing his Paper Village #1 last year. Of course, still burnish the tape a bit. FYI - foam tape always grabs my sequins EVERYTIME. Crazily, I made shaker cards as my Holiday cards this year. Never, ever again. I'm still working on them and I started long before Halloween! This looks like a great card to Valentine's Day, however, I am not thinking about any holiday except Christmas right now. I was okay with it starting early but I'm still very behind. Happy Holidays to you. I look forward to your next card.
Yes! There are shaker products from Waffle Flower that give you actual shaped pop up wells that let you keep the card more flat. There are dies and then shaker covers. Check it out: ldli.co/e/zr15dqd
♥ the finished card, ♥ your die trio .. shoot I need to be completely honest here - I ♥ everything about this card !! I'm not sure if you'll be posting another video this week so while I'm writing to you I'll just say it now, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2022 ahead.
Scrapbook has these super skinny foam tape strips that form super close around shapes. It may work and be less fiddly. I havent made a shaker with it but have used for similar. I need to try it!
something you could use is the antistatic to the edge of the foam tape BEFORE adding to the front inside to help keep the sequins from sticking to it. Make sure you haven't removed the liner on the tape.
I’ll be very quiet tonight. My oldest chi is diabetic and it’s time to make his special meal and his shot. So, don’t think I passed out or fast forwarded you. Lol
Love this card. It's beautiful. I've really enjoyed this UA-cam and you've inspired me further on how I'm going to do my Valentine cards. Merry Christmas!
For the foam tape, I fold it back onto itself, full width, then cut it down the middle. Then I can curve it around with the backing still on it. I can also cut into any width, like thirds, if I need it.
Ha I was just about to lay some sookwang tape down when you mentioned varnishing 🤯 💥 ace!
That's a pretty pretty card
Adorable!
The gold was the right choice as you couldn’t see the pink xoxo. Really great! 👏
Absolutely gorgeous! I love gold and pink together.
Thank you! 😊
Let's talk about how beautiful it is! I really love it and I know whoever you give it to, they are going to love it just as much. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful colors. Beautiful dies. Beautiful card. After securing the sticky foam tape all around, take an embossing buddy and rub it all over the sides that are close to the window, helps the sequins and glittery bits not to stick!

I think i learned it from Kristina Werner!
What a pretty shaker card!! ♥️♥️♥️
I love this card. Add bling to pink and I’m happy!!!
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Pull the scor tape from the side instead of the end. This works for me.
That is cute!!
The shaker card is very pretty. Perfect colours for valentines. I love the sentiment. That's awesome ❤️
Thanks so much!
Omg beautiful but that tip with the score buddy to line up the card is genious!! Thank you!!
Beautiful shaker card 🌺
Wow! Gorgeous card and way easier than cutting frames put with foam. Definitely giving this a try.
Love it
This one is so joyful Cathy!
Love it! Those hearts on top of the shaker took this card to an entirely new level! Beautiful!
Lovely card! Love love love! Use your needle nose tweezers to pull off the release paper from the glue strip after burnishing. Comes off quite easily that way. Works perfectly for me.
Great design and shaker card.
I like the red nails and you rounded the corners off! They look fabulous! Good choice! I can’t believe how often you are cranking these cards out!!!
The Squoval! That's my fave shape!
love the heart die & such a fun shaker card!!!!
Mwah to you too. How fun.
Simply adorable, Ia
Ways have a hard time with shakers. This video did help. Cathy, your an angel. Tfs
WOW I love that festive berries color. Always love a real red for Christmas and Valentine's day. A real eye catcher. The card is so cute. Great idea.
Thanks so much!
I love the tip for lining it up by using the corner of the score pal. Great idea and beautiful card. Shakers are always a hit!
Thanks so much!
How nice! A T ruler that isn’t gigantic!!!
There’s your T-square again! Some months ago I actually bought a second standard T-square from Simon and cut it down in length. It worked fine too, but then I saw the new one-yay!
It is simple... simple perfection. I love it!
There’s my girl!
Cute card! Thanks for sharing!

So happy for you getting the limited edition die cutting machine. It's a beautiful color. I love shaker cards.
It was my Christmas gift to me! lol!
Dearest Cathy, I enjoy your “craft / dining room” videos. You create some great products!!! I love the “mwah” die cut on this collection!!! You are so talented!!! ♥️🎄💚♥️🎄💚♥️🎄💚
Wait! Misti t-square? Finally a shorter t-square! I’m in!
right?
I love this triple heart set!
Love this card!
My OCD would not allow me to not finish the inside(where the foam tape is )!!! I would have to give it a border so you didn't see the innards of the card!!!
LOL...
I was thinking that as welllllll 😁
This is very pretty. Your dusting buddy is useful against the acetate and also against the foam tape so sequins/glitter won’t stick at all. 😊❤️🇨🇦
Oooh. Great idea on the foam tape and acetate so the sequins don’t stick! I had heard years ago a dryer sheet keeps static off of acetate. Doesn’t the powder cloud the acetate?

I would to have a dusting buddy! What is name of name product on amazon ??
Love this card!!! You did so… good with it!!! I was amazed with some of the tips you gave us. Especially the “h” . Love it!!!
Love the card...now I gotta have the die set.
Great card. Thank you. Love shaker cards.
Beautiful card!
Merry Christmas ⛄ to you and your Family!!!
Happy holidays!
Your commentary always cracks me up!! I don't know how you got all those little slivers of foam behind the skinny letters, but it does look awesome raised like that! Adorable shaker card!
Great card! Love it!
You could also line up your card layers in your MISTI (without the pad) because it’s deeper than your Score Pal.
Beautiful. And what a great idea of folding the foam tape instead of cutting and layering to build the height for the shaker element. Woot!
It's just faster!
Great shaker card, love hearing you talk through the process, so funny :).
Thanks so much!
I was so busy crafting I missed the premiere. Love the idea of using a shadow layer to create the aperture for a shaker!
Beautiful....greats tips folding foam tape in half for some height. ♥️♥️♥️
Yes! Thank you!
Just made basically this card for the hubby! Had to swap a few things for things I already had. It turned out great! 😊❤️
Hope he loves it!
I love making shaker cards! That is a nice one! I love your new Spellbinders... but I can't allow myself to even think about buying another!
Love it! I love shaker cards.
Me too!!
Absolutely beautiful, one of the best I have watched ,so pretty
Wow, thank you!
Say, that was a very beautiful card you made. I still have a lot of angst to try those shaker cards again. I watched you do that difficult form and have gained just a little more confidence.
Gorgeous!
Beautiful card! For a very special person!
Thank you so much!
Cathy, some hand sanitizer will remove the stain, just a bit at each swipe, but will remove it. Beautiful cards
Ohhh! I will try it!!!
I heard that tip on another vid...
she said it works great!!
sanitizer for crafters... LoL
Well hopefully the hubs will lay a mwah right back. I love shaker cards but I've only ever made the ones with the pre-made shaker piece.
such a cute card, great job!
Great card - I get buying the new machine just because. I have a silhouette and scan n cut digital die cut machine and yet, part of me thinks I need a cricut

Great card!!!

Cathy I love your videos and I learn so much from you! Thank you for your tips!!
I'm so glad!
What a cute card! I need to make more shaker cards and get out of my comfort zone sometimes. I really enjoy your fun videos!
You should!
Another sweet card. I never make Valentine cards, not sure why. You are making me want the blue spellbinder die cut machine. Haha
It's not a need! hahah. But I do love my new machine!
I really like this
Hello from very rainy GA
This is adorable! I love that this could be done with just about any die that has a shadow. You may have just designed my Valentine’s Day card for my hubby, too! 😂 Thanks so much! 😊❤️
Yes! So easy with any die!
Awesome card. Thank you, Cathy. So excited about the Mis-T square. Was going to buy it the other day, but was kinda waiting to see if anyone else liked it. 💕

Beautiful card, love the plate pattern 💗

Very nice!
Cathy…. Love the card. I also had to buy the new spellbinders platinum 6. I have about 4-5 other die cut machines but that one was so pretty
It REALLY is pretty!
Love this card! Are these dies new? I particularly like the mwah. I usually do muah. I haven’t seen the other way before. Really nice job Cathy!!!
Brand new!
I’ll be very quiet tonight. My oldest chi is diabetic and it’s time to make his special meal and his shot. So, don’t think I passed out or fast forwarded you. Lol
Very pretty.
