I have the same shimmer spray and had the same issues. Two tips for you…1. Spray from high above and you will get smaller dots. 2. If you still get big dots of spray, wipe them with your finger. It distributes the spray and when it dries you won’t be able to see them anymore. Love your videos and your humor! Boop!
Lol! Thats hilarious about the embossing tool! I was like whaaaa? I don’t do that. I ran back to my directions to see how i missed that part! I love your channel! Yiu are so real!
Love the color combo. I also use that sparkle spray often. I hold the bottle farther from the object and spray in quick sweeping motions from left to right. Several coats make it nice and sparkly and I don’t get any blobs. 😊
Hello there Mrs. Zielske. Love the black and white top on you. It’s also a very fresh neckline for you. Your nail polish is fabulous! Ok, on with the cards. Lol
Can't wait to give this a try! However, the best thing I took away from this video is how to use that Rabbit Hole powder tube. I've clicked it forward & back, pounced it on the glass mat, and everything I could think of to get that powder to come out. Of course some of this resulted in globs of powder like I was making bread. So Thank You Very Much!!!
The heart in the middle looks like a 3D bubble heart so cool love the card. So i had to come and edit this i wrote my comment before you put the Love You sentiment over the heart and it flattened it out it was the very light center of the heart that gave the look. Love the card any way.
I love this card,I wouldn't have thought to do this technique. The colours are great too.I love your humor and enthusiasm. Thanks for the inspiration as always.
Hi, I enjoyed the video. I would not have guessed that the same color as shade #2 and shade #4 would look so different. The two usages really are different b/c of color #3 applied under #2 to make #4. Wow... that was not my best phrasing, but I hope you understand what I mean. Thx for always teaching me something! Lori S in PA
Thank you so much for showing the proper priming for the rabbit hole powder. I’ve been doing it wrong too. AND I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! Thanks Cathy.
Loved that you used the colour wheel & honestly when you had the little dots indicating which tones you used it was very helpful. Love watching you. Love the card too.
I 💗 your card creations. Your blending technique is so smooth and flawless everytime. Great use of the wheel for color inspiration. Anyway, love is all you need! Look forward to your next card sesh 👉
Great card as always. I’m looking forward to using colors in a new way and booping on the bling in a way that makes design sense instead of a random scatter.
I have a color wheel that I've never used. I didn't know how. Now, I do!!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to share all this information. The card turned out fabulous and, before this video, I wouldn't have been able to tell you why. BTW, thanks! I now have Styx playing that song in my head!
Please continue to teach the color wheel! I am always struggling to mix colors. I actually have a wheel but certainly not as large as yours. It is limited in shades. Guess I should invest in a new one??? Thank you for this combo and more to come.
I don't know which is better, your card making or your commentary lol Both equally enjoyable! (oh and do not look up the origin of 'screw the pooch' Oh My!) :) FAB creation, love the shimmer! Oh and I do love a 'randomly' placed jewel lol Off to find my elusive color wheel! TFS!!! #yayrabbitholeembossingtool
Thanks for explaining the color wheel. I thought the analogous colors had to be next to each other in order for it to work! But, your beautiful card provides to me a greater understanding.
Hi Cathy! I really appreciate learning more about colors, and the color wheel! How do colors like brown, black and white fit in with the colors on the wheel? I am actually trying to come up with pleasing colors for our bedroom and bathroom. Thanks!
That's a question that I should be able to answer and I have no idea. How's this: Because it is a composite color, derived from primary and secondary colors, brown doesn't feature on a traditional painter's color wheel. On modern color wheels it is generally shown as a shade of orange, with orange sitting between red and yellow on the wheel.
I have just a teeny bit of Tsukeniko shimmer spray left and I love it. But I don’t think it’s silver. It’s not good, it just adds multi color shimmer. You think it’s the same? This says imagine at the top of the label. Waited for it after one of my first Jennifer vids. It took over a year to get! Now I couldn’t find it. Need more wonder if this is it? Are there multi colors or just silver to the shimmer? Thanks Cathy! Great card!!!
Cath-a-o-lay, you are so patient while blending. I really stink at blending. Cereally. I think I just get impatient. I’m trying to really pay attention to all y’all and get perfect blending.
I always wondered the surface you used now I see. Mine is a paper version from stampin up and I like that I can practice stamp but I have one pack left and then I’m moving on to something else. I find I’m using my old old healing cut mat for gluing when I have a lot to glue. Then I am wipe it off. So this is going on my somehow list! Any tips? Thanks. Cool card!
Hi Cathy. When using a color theory for instance, analogous colors, will the colors still be in harmony if there's a mixture of tint, tone, and shade? Or should all the colors stay in the same category (all tints, etc...) to maintain the harmony?
That is a good question, Angela. I would think that they would still work, even with that mix. Sometimes in cardmaking, we don't always have inks that give us such refined distinctions. : ) But It would be worth a try to mix it up!
@@czdesign Thanks for your input. Whenever someone teaches on color theory, I'm always looking for the answer to this question. Mixing the color categories will be a good lesson to add to your color series 😉. I will practice with this concept myself. Thanks again😘.
I’m having trouble picking enough ink on my blender brush. I’m using a new Simon Says ink pad & brush. It only happens with the melon ink. Any suggestions?
Btw… anything show upon your mail lately that you didn’t ask for? Lol you know I think of you often even when not watching because you’re my only crafty” friend”.
@@czdesign I hope you weren’t offended. I just have so much extra of some things, and I don’t have any stamping friends. I am not offended at all if you prefer I didn’t do that. I’m sorry. I did think of all the brushes you have and thought surely they will fit some! Lol and the SSS stamp I hope wasn’t one you created and were offended by that either. I just won’t use it and you do the cutest cards with little critters. I have extra Ranger embossing powder I forgot to put in as I also will never use all I have. And again, I think of all the embossing you do! Maybe in the future, as long as you aren’t offended. I just adore you and your cards are so wonderful. Thank you for working so hard to share your love of making cards with all of us. Of course you’re welcome and have a great week!
What a great card… as usual with popular sentiments I go to order the sentiments stamps and coordinating dies… and sadly THEIR NOT IN STOCK…OMG I will be stalking my email hoping they’re back soon but I did get the stencils
That’s smart not to use your nails for anything. My nail tech asked me once when I came in to get a broken nail fixed what I had been trying to open. I told her vodka. For years after that when I would come in for a nail repair, she would tease me how many vodka bottles I opened and to maybe drinking a brand that has an easier cap to open. Lol. Just part of the magic that is me. Yay!
Kathy-
Love your style. Clean and simple is my jam too! You are so very real!
I get a charge out of you! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!!
Oh yes! Again, another awesome card❣️
Beautiful card. I love when you utilize the color wheel. It makes your information easy to remember. You are an inspiring teacher.
Thank you so much!

Thank you for the tips Lisa. I will try that next time and be further away and not do it on camera!
Love the Love Card!!❤️👍
I love how you talked about WHY that color combo works and even using that same color twice but ends up blending to be 2 different analogous colors!
Lol! Thats hilarious about the embossing tool! I was like whaaaa? I don’t do that. I ran back to my directions to see how i missed that part! I love your channel! Yiu are so real!
Yeah, I was a bit embarrassed on that one!
Hi, I like your videos when you remind us about using the color wheel. I’m going to put the color wheel on my desk. 👍❤️
Lovely!
Thanks, Andy!
