Splattering was the Perfect background and the oh-so-thin gold outer border is Perfect also. Two perfects in one sentence is Good JOB Kathy. Not to mention the ultra sparkly paing. I had bought mysel, after much delay and waffling, an altenew shimmer paint set to put in my stocking. Since it was still pure and wrapped in plastic I had to sacrifice it as a last minute gift to an extra person (10 year old girl & fellow paper crafter) who showed up for Christmas. Sigh. She was thrilled. . .
I love the card! The splatter background with the gold border was perfect! Didn't you just love watching the metallics dance on the paper? It's mesmerizing! 😍
Cathy, I'm so proud of you girl, for cutting out the middle on your mat layer. I have a very low budget for my crafting, so I could never afford those paints. After watching Kristina, I was just transfixed. So I purchased a dot card. They last a long time though, so don't think you will only have them for one project. This die is one of my favorites, and I have made several cards with it.
Cathy I love, Love, Love this card the paints are amazing your advice in relation to design is always appreciated, the gold matting layer was definitely a great addition TFS cheers Jackie in Oz
I love watching your videos. You have such great technique along with a side of humor which makes it so much fun. When you said " holy shine buckets" I just died laughing. I am working and my coworker / husband is like why are you laughing at a card video. 😂
I love those watercolors! They must really be saturated to show up on black paper! I've spent alot on supplies lately, but will check these out and see what they cost!
The dot cards are a great way to try them out! I'm not sure if I would have bought the pans myself. Lol! I mean, I like to buy craft supplies, but… they are a bit above my level.
When you did the splatter I was thinking what a beautiful galaxy that would make! I have some of those little cards but I haven't tried them yet. Your card is so gorgeous!
Such an amazing card!!! I just got my first order of Iuile Watercolors yesterday and I can't wait to play. I think I will start with a card inspired by your amazing creation. Thank you!!
Omg Cathy your “Love Your Guts” card is absolute perfection! Heaving a sigh of relief now and a low sweeping bow because hun you’ve just proven to me that layers of filigree and swirly Shirley schmultz is NOT for me. Darling’ you have it! *swoon*
I gifted myself the Christmas set with Christmas money I received. My gosh these paints are just spectacular in person! I really like your idea paint for tge shadow layer. I am going to have to try it.
Cathy if you have a coarse grit fingernail file and a fine grit fingernail file, and or sandpaper, you can reshape the tip on your Teflon bone folder.😊
I’ve barely started the video, but thought I’d share. If you get the magnetic vent covers that some people use to store their dies, they are white on one side. I wonder how that would work as a pallet to hold your little pans. Or, since the magnet is on the paint pans, I wonder if just putting your Make Art Stay-tion under your pallet would keep them in place?
Beautiful pan! It’ll be a cold day in, we’ll, I’ll never be able to get these after checking out the price and you have some really generous friends! I’ve been looking at metallic paints for quite a while. But I have plenty of other things to use and try so no biggie. Have fun!
I have a few of her colors, and absolutely thought why didn’t I buy the dot cards? Now hearing you say this, I may just do that. This is a great card Cathie
My brother is a HUGE Star Wars fan and this card gives me all the galaxy feels!! Thank you again for inspiring us to step outside our comfort zones and explore new things. I don't have these beauties but I have a sweet little watercolor set and I am going to give it a whirl! We love you Cathy Z!!!
When I was first getting into peeking a few months ago watercolor interviewed me, but I was more enamored with stepping and die cutting, but I do want to try watercoloring with inks, just haven't done it yet.
These were on my Christmas list! I fell in love with them when Kristina Werner used them, but when I swatched them in person????? they were so much more stunning. I was planning on buying black watercolor eventually but... I think I need to go buy some soon! I might have swooned a little at that splattering with the watercolor. It really shows off the shine in the paints!
Kathy I always love your cards, but this time you are really speaking my language! I found Iuile watercolors from Kristina Werner, couldn't quite swing the big Christmas set, but I've gotten several pans when on sale - they are amazing, and well worth the expense. I love working on black card bases, so I've done quite a few designs with them, from emboss resist full panel interlocking hearts to watercolor sparkly gifts that open to reveal holiday wishes. I never thought to spatter with them, or use them to die cut a sentiment backer though! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration (as ever), you are the best!
Thanks, Jamie! I'm not sure I would have purchased these, until I felt a bit more accomplished with painting but hey, they were a gift and I am not complaining!
I have to wonder how these watercolors match up to the old H20'S paints still I have probably 40 tubs of them left....has anyone out there ever compared them? BTW Cathy...love love love what you did with them....
Oh mercy these are pretty but way out of my price range. I thought I would purchase the dots but the shipping cost is over 1/2 of what you pay for the dots. Your card turned out so lovely.
You could go around the edge of the sentiment with a black marker. The gold does look nice, but it looked like the silver was picking up the colors of the background.
I love the iuile watercolors! They are so worth it. Love this card too! Looks amazing. I actually made one of the cards from the your class on the oct crop/create weekend in black with iuile watercolors.
Cathy! You can file the tip of your Teflon bone folder to fix the tip! You can use a craft knife to shave it down a little and then use a little sanding block and boom! Just like new!
Yes, the sets are not cheap! The dot cards would be a great way to go! I have a video coming soon where I just used the sample cards and barely dented the paints!
Beautiful card Cathy, I really loved the splatter black it was outstanding. I think those paints look gorgeous and I would love some of them but I think they wanted to kill me because when I saw the price I almost had a heart attack.
Just so you know I have now created 6 of the Love Your Guts cards. I just used patterned paper for the background cause I couldn’t wait to use the die 🙂
I just recently got some of her watercolors and they are so pretty. I am going to carve out some time to try them soon. It seems like the dot cards go a fairly long way, so I got an assortment of those.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Watching paint dry. I laughed out loud!
You are out of this world! Ty
So pretty
Stunning!!!
I love this card it is just gorgeous. You did a fantastic job on that card. 😊😊🤗🤗
Thank you so much!
Very Star-trek!
Love it 🥰
I had to add another comment...your card looks cosmic!
Oh thank you!
Love it 😍 fantastic inspiration 🤩🤩🤩🙌🙌
Thank you! Cheers!
Ugliest paints are gorgeous, definitely on my wish list ……
Gosh, I wanna wear them as jewelry!
You can use a nail file or fine sandpaper to fix your teflon bone folder point.
Stunning! I have some of these watercolors but have not used them yet. Now I think I will, thanks.
Have fun!
They are so expensive that I’m afraid to waste them but their beauty is unmatched by other watercolors I have.
I could watch you make cards all day long. Lol, I just about do. Thanks for the tips and inspiration, and the laughs.
That rainbow splatter in the background is 🤌!
That card is spectacular. I’m so glad you showed the dot cards. I saw a lot of people were appreciative
Honestly, the splatter background is just amazing. So simple, ties it all together and makes such an impact! ❤️

This card is gorgeous! So shimmery. So stunning! The background splatter was a beautiful addition. Thanks for sharing your talent! ❤️
I love the card! The splatter background with the gold border was perfect! Didn't you just love watching the metallics dance on the paper? It's mesmerizing! 😍
Yes! Thank you!
This card really caught my eye. Beautiful shiny colors on black cardstock... Awesome.
Love your placement of the bling
Thanks so much!

Can’t wait to share this with Jeanie!
Really great card Cathy! Beautiful and thanks for sharing!
Your idea is much better than my suggestion 😉 the final project is very galaxy-esque!
What a beautiful card, Cathy!!! 💖💖💖
Cathy I love, Love, Love this card the paints are amazing your advice in relation to design is always appreciated, the gold matting layer was definitely a great addition TFS cheers Jackie in Oz
Thank you so much!
Fun card for the new year! Love that you add liquid glue to your adhesive strips. I have been passing that tip on to many stampers!
Love the star field background it really pops. FYI Michael's has pearlescent water color set for 10 bucks that is beautiful.
" love your guts" sounds like a card from a stalker/killer would send!😂
hahaha
I love watching your videos. You have such great technique along with a side of humor which makes it so much fun. When you said " holy shine buckets" I just died laughing. I am working and my coworker / husband is like why are you laughing at a card video. 😂
Beautiful card. Fantastic shine. Thank you so much. Love all your videos.
Glad you like them!
Cathy this card is just beautiful! I need to get some black watercolor paper.

Wonderful!
Wonderful card! You can really go a little step forward in the opacity of the watercolours. Sending some colour courage 😉!

Ohhhh. You could make a little baby palette from them!

thanks Kelly!
Beautiful. Unfortunately, way out of my price range. But I’ll enjoy watching you and Kristina creating with them.
I would've used the silver sentiment - the gold gets lost imo
When I was first getting into peeking a few months ago watercolor interviewed me, but I was more enamored with stepping and die cutting, but I do want to try watercoloring with inks, just haven't done it yet.

Thanks for sharing your 1st vid of 2022! Looking forward to seeing you use a dot card of the Uiele (sp?)!
🎆Happy New Year, Cathy🧚♀️🙋🏻♀️💜
Happy new year!
I too work in my dining room, the problem I have now found is I can no longer shuffle things around, I have no room, or too many things!
Oh i can relate!
Absolutely love this card. Now I'm going to have to look into getting myself some of these pans!!
I think the word you're looking for is "saturation"...?
That could be it!
Cathy I love your channel! I've just recently started crafting and I am learning so much from you. Plus you make me giggle so much 😆
You are so welcome! And thank you!
Omgggggg love love love. do you know how happy you are making iuile Etsy seller!?! $$$$$$$
you are amazing and so creative!

Yes, trust me… i get it. These were gifted to me from a friend! A very generous friend!
Holly shine buckets!!! 💕Love the colors - ordering me some! Great cards as always!
Glad you like them!
It’s so funny how you whisper when you put the watercolor to paper, like you didn’t want to disturb their own movement 😅
Cathy I do love watching your videos, you always have such good ideas. One of these days I ll send you a few of my cards. JoAnne in price Utah
I can’t believe it, I’ve been trying to think how to do a male birthday card, many thanks you’ve saved me xx
Beautiful! It reminds me of “The more you know” commercials. I loved those!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful colors l just ordered my dots. Your card was stunning. 👍
Have fun!
"Holy Shinebucket" made me laugh so hard.
What a wonderful gift. An absolutely beautiful card! Thank you
You could go around the edge of the sentiment with a black marker.

I love this die. So cute. And metallic anything is so pretty 😍
Wow that is pricey xx
It is. I was given these as a present from a friend. I am not sure if I would have splurged. I'm not that good of a painter!
I love the card. The dot color look like a great way to try several colors. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!
Love this die! I made cards for all my siblings with this set
So, so,so, so,so pretty!❤❤❤❤ You're the queen!😊
Kristina advised me on these. She’s a good girl.
I would love to see you do the same one with cooler colors and the silver sentiment.
Just gorgeous! I love everything about it.
Cathy! You can file the tip of your Teflon bone folder to fix the tip! You can use a craft knife to shave it down a little and then use a little sanding block and boom! Just like new!
Oh my gosh, did not even think of that!!!!
You are a genius
Lol. I just bought a smaller version
What a beautiful card. I looked up those Luile paints.....wayyyyy out of my price range. Very pretty though.
Yes! They are not cheap BUT… check out the dot card! I just filmed a video this afternoon coming soon! That just uses a dot card from them!
Just a WOW card! Delightful
Beautiful and the splattering set it off.
Love how you used the spattering!
Very pretty. Love those watercolors!
Spare the rod…and what?? You’re on fire!
Come on, Cathy. You’ve done “brand new” watercolors. Why not try brand new alcohol inks? Please!!!! Love you.
Lol! They still scare me!
Lolly Palooza has a you tube video on customizing your bone folder that may be helpful with your bone folder issue. Love the card.
Thanks for the tip!
Can't find these in the UK 😢
Find which product? I know Simon Says Stamp ships overseas. But the metallic paints were from etsy.
Love your creation! Thank You so much for the awesome video! Blessing!
You are so welcome!
Love those paints! TFS!!
Just so you know I have now created 6 of the Love Your Guts cards. I just used patterned paper for the background cause I couldn’t wait to use the die 🙂
Love it!
I just recently got some of her watercolors and they are so pretty. I am going to carve out some time to try them soon. It seems like the dot cards go a fairly long way, so I got an assortment of those.
So Creative Love your style Oh and Beautiful Nail Polish !!!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful. However, they are very expensive in comparison to others of fine quality.
Fair enough!
Beautiful as Always! 💕
