I am so glad youtube is posting older video's. I am finding great ideas. I just love shakers. Yours are so easy to make. New subscriber from Texas USA.
I am so happy I came up upon this video, what incredible ideas. I love the fish tank card, I NEVER would've thought to use liquid in a shaker card. BRILLIANT!
Finally got the Fuse tool and this is the cutest, most amazing birthday card I ever made!!! I put my son's face on a clipart "diver" with coral reef plants and fish around him. Amazing! Wish I could post a photo! thank you!
Great cards! I found blue tinted hair gel at the dollar store that I used in a “water” shaker card. Big bottle for a buck. I also bought small plastic bags in the jewelry section at Michael’s. They seal at the top but I also added double-sided heavy-duty tape to keep it closed.
I’m just a wee bit late, but shaker cards are timeless after all! 😂 Wonderful job!! I LOVED the first and last cards- great tips! Thank you for sharing!!! 🎉❤
Oh my I found you thru Justine Hoovey... Your cards ideas are awesome. The fish tank is SPECTACULAR. Its good to admire an artist is even better when you're inspired by them. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Karen! Welcome 🥰 so glad you are feeling inspired. If do you recreate any of these cards be sure to tag me on Instagram I'd love to see @craftynotshifty
Hey Joan, I'm a little late catching up on my replies but I did have a wonderful weekend and I'm heading into a nice Easter break. I hope you have a nice break with lots of relaxing and crafting
❤️ Those are great looking cards!! Thank you so much for sharing these!! I have always wondered how to make those. Your tutorial is really excellent-clear and simple directions. I need to add one of those heat cutting tools to my wish list. 😃
Lovely shaker ideas! I have a FUSE tool that I still have not used. And I have always wanted to use gel in a card, too. So thanks very much for all the fun inspiration! (USA)
Loved all of your shaker hacks but the liquid one is very brave. I have non colored sanitizer but I could ink blend the background, right? I just might have to try that. TFS
Great hacks. I had planed on making a card similar to your last one. I was at the dollar tree store and actually found light blue hair gel to use as water lol.
Just watched your great video! I have made shaker cards before and always have problems with the foam round the circle, thank you for your tips will try them next time. I like many love the liquid shaker and cannot wait to have a go, thank you very much for sharing!! I have just subscribed, having found your video cannot wait to see more! x
Hi - thanks for heading over and leaving a comment 🥰 Try double sealing with your fuse and work really slowly to ensure a good seal. I used to work on glass or a stack of paper but I've found a silicone mat designed for use under a glue gun works great
did you know that a carefully used edge of an iron will seal plastic well? so if your baggie is too big you can seal the sides etc to fit, using an iron.. :)
Great tip! I've seen people do this with hair straighteners too. Just be sure you don't touch the plastic directly with the iron or straighteners as the plastic can melt and stick to them or burn
Hey Lesley 🥰 thanks for commenting. You should 100% give it a try. If you are not confident try using a small zip lock bag so the watertight work is done for you. Practice the "water" bit first and only add to your card if and when you are sure it won't leak and spoilt your work 🥰🥰🥰
Love your cards, I'm in the UK, but what make is your mini die cut machine as I don't have one yet, was thinking I could start with a mini one, thanks, Jackie xxx
Hi Jackie, it's the baby blue from Tattered lace (Create and craft stock this brand but I'm not sure this machine is still made) I got mine second hand on eBay. Altenew have one this size and shape too and Hobby Craft have some great mini machines. They are a great place to start but the size they can cut is small so you may outgrow it quickly. I love mine and reach for it as it's so easy to bring in shot for a video when using a small die. Keep your eyes peeled on eBay, gumtree and Facebook market place for second hand machines big or small. Hobby Craft, Hochanda and Create and Craft have some great sales too 🥰
I am so glad youtube is posting older video's. I am finding great ideas. I just love shakers. Yours are so easy to make. New subscriber from Texas USA.
Thank you so much 💞
Love the pro tips with the mitered edges and using the die as a straight edge. Thanks for sharing your talent!

Love all the hacks. Where do you get pre-made shakers?
Thank you, I have some links in the video description to places you can get them 🥰

Great shakers I love them I will def try the liquid one it is my fav xx
Awesome I hope you have fun
Very cute but can you mail them? Thanks for all your quick tutorials. Really appreciate Kate so much info in a short amount of time but very clear!
You can, I'd suggest using a padded bubble mailer to protect them, especially the liquid and the sticker one as that's quite dimensional
did you know that a carefully used edge of an iron will seal plastic well? so if your baggie is too big you can seal the sides etc to fit, using an iron.. :)
