Looks good but you should try to do as I do. Cook mushroom in a DRY pan and let them steam out their water for 3-5 min depending on how thick you slice them. Then add butter and what you want, and you will end up with great tasting non soggy and very flavorful. I do add a little salt while in the dry pan, helps draw out the water a bit faster. Enjoy!
@@kingstonxenachante2874 I recommend you do deeper research on animal vs oil fats. Olive is fine but it's not the problem between unsaturated, saturated, etc. The problem is most available vegetable oils, are worse for our health compared to animal fats we have been using for centuries before the late 1900s commercial craze to sell us vegetable oils and the lab-made butter replacements.

Salting early actually makes them soggy. It's best to start them in the pan with no oil and no salt to develop a deeper Flavor and expel the water in them, then add oil, then salt towards the end.

Nope. I wash them thoroughly and let drain. Put them in a dry pan to golden brown, then they release their moisture, and I'm stirring this whole time. When moisture is gone, I add a tablespoon or two (depends on how many mushrooms you're cooking). After they brown up a little, add a small amount of soy sauce, stir around until soy sauce soaks in. Add some pink salt if needed.

You should try white finely sliced mushrooms sautéed in a bit of avocado oil and use the umami mushroom seasoning from target and put it on top of a sourdough toast spread with pesto it’s so delicious!!!!
I couldn’t understand the “don’t [something] or it’ll make them soggy” part because of a text overlay…can someone fill me in? Feel like this might be important
You don't clean mushroom, because that will imply washing them with water.. but mushrooms are full of water so. You just dry fry them then add oil and then salt and pepper.
Butter should be used rather than oil. Mushrooms soak up any fat you put them in. Oils, even olive oil, are not good for mushrooms either in taste or texture. You can get away with adding a bit of cream but only after the initial cooking.
How much salt?? Far too much The maximum daily intake of salt to avoid liver and kidney problems is just 6gm If you add too much salt instead of enhancing a dish it takes over the flavour Try adding less salt and after a short while you reslise that too much sslt dominates the flavour in a dish

I do this too but deglaze with red wine. Goes great as a steak or meatloaf topper.

Once you put the layer of mushrooms down, don't touch. You literally can not ever overcook mushrooms. Let them sear.
No oil at the start, as they absorb. Start dry if a bit.
So many serving options for this fried mushie dish. I love on toasted ciabata or sour dough for a lazy dinner. Delicious!

Seriously
i wish i could do the texture, even perfectly cooked mushrooms have that weird rubbery texture that makes my mouth unhappy
That pan seems awfully crowded… might be why they’re ending up soggy? Too much steaming and less direct heat for the cooking :)
Sweat them first...then add oil
