Yes, post up the regular version. Not a fan of all your latest "quick Versions". If someone wants to fast forward, let THEM do it. Those wishing to see the full length don't have an option. No way of telling what the fault was that you talked about in the intro.
The quick versions are more geared to those looking for “quick hit” type vids while a regular tear down will cater to those who enjoy watching the work itself, want to dive into the details more deliberately and/or apply the content directly in their own projects, etc.
I'm ok with the fast forward for a quick video, but it would probably be better if you got rid of the original audio and did a voice over of just the high points you have in on-screen text. Thanks for sharing this video! I recently dropped the pan and changed the fluid and filter in a new to me '06 Silverado with 350k+ miles and was not impressed with the color of fluid and sparkly sludge in the bottom of the pan. I may be looking at a rebuild at some point and this video gives me a glimpse of what I'd be in for.
Thanks for the input Luke. Im publishing a full length tear down and inspection of another 4L60e tomorrow. Coincidentally it’s the same model year, 2000, as the one in that quick tear down video and ill cover the same things and more in this upcoming video.
Yea the feedback thus far on these "fast forward" style videos hasn’t been great. Ill be filimg and posting regular, full-length tear down videos for the 4l60e, th350, 700r4 and several others over the next couple weeks.
Watched a bunch of videos on this trying to point me in the right direction, just built my 08 4l60e, got it all put back with new transgo shift kit and new tc, and i got no fwd gear in drive unles i stab the throttle. 1-2 work just fine and reverse is fine, but all the stuff ive seen points in a hundred directions, ur way smarter at this than me, any ideas?
Hi David, thank you for watching. Did you replace your forward sprag and air check the forward, overrun and 3-4 clutch packs in the forward drum both on the bench and then upon assembly into case? I check the drum independently via the feed holes in the turbine shaft, then check all three clutch packs with the forward drum mated with the pump and check everything last time once everything has been installed into the case using a test plate (see my 4L60E rebuild video for info on the test plate: ua-cam.com/video/EMeefT7Cbzw/v-deo.html) Also, I have a much more extensive 4L60E tear down video on the channel that should give you some additional pointers around what to inspect in the forward drum, pump, etc: ua-cam.com/video/WuTX8n8RVEE/v-deo.html
Yea its worthless...if you are looking for actual information, watch my full length tear down 4L60e video. Its long but you'll actually learn a thing or two
