This is why we love Superman. He's not just some meathead who can punch really hard. He's a good and caring man, he's the humanity that you don't get to see portrayed very often. That newer Superman cartoon that came out also did a great job at showcasing how wonderful of a human being this Kryptonian is. He was still discovering his powers, he didn't know what he could and couldn't do and yet he jumped in front of bullets for Louis Lane with his reasoning being "I didn't know I was bulletproof, I just knew that you weren't." He's the guy that we all see in ourselves every now and then, the person who does goodness for goodness's sake. He's that side in us that just wants to do the right thing and be a good person. And no matter how often people or whatever form of media y'all watch tells us that we're just bad people, we know that there's a piece of goodness in ourselves, a goodness like Superman. I love it when Superman is portrayed in the way he's meant to be portrayed because we get comics that can literally move us to tears sometimes. He's just a good man, an inspiration to not just the DC universe, but to our real world too. We all wish we were at least a little bit like Superman in the kind of quality of person he is. We love you Superman, even though you're not real, you're a real part of our humanity and we will never forget the goodness you inspire. Stay strong everyone, life is tough to make tough people, not callous or cold people but, people who can survive. Don't let life hurt you to the point of breaking you, and even if that does happen, you'd be surprised on how many people would be willing to run to you the moment you ask for help. Be a good person, show respect and genuine care and love towards others even when they don't show it themselves. Be the person that others can rely on. You don't need to be rich to help, you don't need to be successful to help. Sometimes, the best way to help someone is to be there for them. I know Superman wouldn't even doubt for a second if he needed to be there for someone, he'd already be there. So lets try to be a little bit like Superman.
People like to make fun of Superman for many understandable reason, but they always forget the fact why he was created. Superman was supposed to be what Spiderman is. A man who is good out of goodness sake. A man who has incredible power and uses it for good reasons, something that was almost unthinkable in 1938 and what people wanted USA to be for the world. Then Marvel created Spiderman, who is the same, but relatable. Sure he has spider powers and whatnot, but Spiderman is supposed to be what Superman is, without having power to destroy the world if he flies too fast. Btw. I find it funny that modern comics give Sups more dark stories because, well, let’s be honest, if you have a lot of power you will do some questionable bs from time to time, even if you save the world most of the time.

2:07 wait a minute now, supergirl is like 90% Superman (isn’t she kinda faster, or am I just making that up?) and can deal with most Superman adjacent threats.
Did Atlas conceive his daughter while he was under there?
Yes, even the heavens felt his thrusts.
Heck better question what are the odd his daughter wedding happen the day superman took the heave
What ìs this comic called
Supermans day off.
@@morro190 thanks bud
If it were to be understood as a real as well as metaphysical burden, this would have to be classified as a outerversal feat, since thoughts, feelings, emotions and memories transcend the concept of time and space.
Stop stealing content
Would have been better if they stuck to the source material and told a similar story having Atlas ditch him. Then Hercules comes to beat Atlas's ass or something.
The best of Humanity not even being Human says a lot about it
Forget WWJD. What would Superman do?
A part of Superman's inspiration was Moses, who was also a Christ analog in the Bible, so.. not that far off :)
@@momzwrite Yeah...but, we don't really talk about that here. I mean, with beings that can move planets, run faster than light, and defeat cosmic entities. DC's superheroes are practically gods among humanity. Eat your hearts out, Christians.
And people say omni man can beat sups HA
Atlas???
Uh, he left…
ITS CONFIRMED PERCY JACKSON IS AS STRONG AS SUPERMAN
Godzilla win
So what was he holding on to? Do the "heavens" have a handle or something? Is that a stupid question or a stupid premise?
There's magic involved im pretty sure so its best not to question it too much
Don't know, ask the greeks
It’s a bit metaphorical so
Would have been funny if he lifted it casually with one hand.
Heck what are the odd his daughter wedding happen the day superman took the heave
It's frustrating how Invincible stans downplay the hell out of this just to say Supes is weak and a bunch of nonsense. They say "oh it doesn't count it was a metaphor and it was confirmed" "oh this and that is an outlier" blah blah they are toxic.
I know Invincible fans ain't talking when Mark hasn't taken a single W
I’ve seen the writers opinion on Superman and it’s not much better.
Okay, first of all, viltrumites can't withstand the surface of a sun, Superman GOES BERSERK From it, so that's a pretty clear power scale of supes being stronger, second, did you READ This comic? It's ABSOLUTELY a metaphor.
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 Please don't come here being a rude wise Alec. Metaphor or not it's still used as a way to downplay Superman regardless. Oh and as for the sun those same stans love to bring up the whole red sun thing as a counter. Try to understand how frustrating it can be when dealing with toxic individuals who love a dollar store version of Superman and go above and beyond to annoy the heck out of everyone around them for no good reason.
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 Whatever 🙄
Superman. . . Most definitely not the world most powerful hero especially not in this day and age.
Wrong. Clearly you didn't read DC's LAST crisis event, or warworld, which BOTH pushed superman to new heights. Superman is the top of the food chain. DC writes it that way. DC wants it that way. DC keeps it that way.
@@pullcarsmelly8051 thank you for the correction and detailed response. But the last information I came across clearly stated that he was incapable of handling the situation he was dealing with alone. I stand corrected. However there were points multiple when he was not.
@@pullcarsmelly8051 Wait?!?! Can he beat Dr Manhattan now too? 🤔
@@Kelvinapplegate probably not. Manhattan is a different type of thing altogether. I mean I'm just not sure. But he has taken on kalibak and orion singlehandedly, bragging about how he is stronger. He has seemingly teleported from a distant galaxy back to earth, instantaneously after being teleported away. He then merely touched Luthors armor and destroyed it, whilst bragging that concepts such as weight, distance, temperature and space/time hold little meaning to him anymore. He and other kryptonians are back to pre crisis levels due to the latest reboot that merged pre crisis with post crisis realities, and then was exposed to a white star that amped him even further beyond normal kryptonians. As far as physical beings go, superman is top dog at the moment for dc.
@@Kelvinapplegate dark crisis merged the previously erased universes, including pre crisis. Remember how insane THAT was? Supergirl alone was just seen flying thru time unaided. Wonder woman has lassoed a star just like she did once in the golden age. Darkseid too, merged and then wiped out the quintessence in one shot, stating he was back to full power and previous glory. And superman? Crossing the universe in moments, seemingly teleporting and destroying things with a mere touch, manhandling multiple gods, humbling lobo, and bragging about how he has few, if any limitations anymore.
Proof that is stronger than Superman Superman was exhausted after holding the world up for a day and he was holding it up for countless eons
You could also argue Superman's weight was heavier. As he has far more responsibilities in the world itself. But as a metaphorical thing, its going to be harder to define any real measurements. Or Atlas really is just stronger. Its up to interpretation.
@@smugreptile6695 I personally think part of it is also that atlas has had time to adjust to the burden somewhat
Probably from emotional exhaustion
Superman is a hero, Goku is not. Goku even in the manta is never about heroism. Just a fact.
