I own a charcoal suit and it is DARK as a piece of charcoal from the BBQ. This gentleman has a mid gray, fine wooled suit. I say, go for a fluffy flannel
Thank you for the very good content. He Spoke Style is the most knowledgeable men style channel!! I would love to see your way on how to combine blazers/sportcoats with jeans.
As you asked, i like mostly all but my favourite is the date night look because of the unique plaid shirt.I also like the suede jacket because it gives a good pop of color. My only critique is as you know I don't like sneakers and also that some of the outfits lacked colour, for example u used mostly white pocket squares. With a non color grey suits it be nice to show more color like with shoes, pocket square, ties, scarf etc..As you asked,I would like to see next a video into how to introduce greens, orange, yellows, light blue etc...in a tasteful way in your outfits. :)
More on the way! I know my video guy, Ian, is going to be stoked for the compliment. He's already said that the next ones like this will be even better.
Formal means black tie and up. People just use the word to mean business wear generally. But here in the UK if it says formal on the dress code that means either black or white tie.
Brian, i just watch you navy suit styling video. Which, in your opinion is more versatile and/or more essential...the classic gray suit or the classic navy suit?
With that suit you can wear a white shirt and a deep red tie that has a subtle pattern. Or a white shirt and a gold or yellow patterned tie. Or how about a light blue and white striped shirt with a blue and gray patterned tie.
I probably should watch ur videos like everytime before i going to certain job interviews just to ensure that myself look decent 😂 and not to mention ur watch game is fire!
I wear burgundy tie with silver bicycles, light grey dress shirt, burgundy and charcoal striped socks, sand coloured double monk strap cap toe shoes, muted blue and grey hareing bone pocket square, silver tie bar, silver or mat finish cufflinks, black fedora.
Great! You have some interesting choices. I subscribed! My first suit i bought was a charcoal from Loro Piana fabric. I tend to do semi formal and casual ( the 2nd is totally George Clooney and i love it ).
Hey Brian, what do you think of Hopsack as a fabric for both a charcoal suit or navy suit? I picked it for a navy 3 piece with lapels of the vest to dress it down. Getting a lot of mixed comments online regarding hopsack trousers
Brian, I´ve been a follower on IG for a while, but I never noticed you were a watch guy. A state of the watch collection video would be awsome, even if those are the 3 only pieces in your collection (which I doubt)
He Spoke Style thank you so much. Last question. Do you suggest a charcoal grey suit for any age, or is something for a more adult guy? I mean, I am 23, could it be a good purchase for me? Or should I wait a few years more?
hey brian how are you ? what kind of fabric you would recommed for a hot weather . im from kuwait and its really reeeeealy hot where in June/July it could easily reach 55 celcius on most days.
@@qarhsi While I do agree that a coat looks incomplete without a pocket square, but that phenomenon only applies if you're wearing a dress shirt with it. If you are wearing a turtleneck (especially in a colour such as black or dark charcoal grey) you definitely should lose the pocket square as it's just another additional accessory and it dresses up the entire look and takes away from the casual, and most importantly simple look of the turtleneck and suit combination.
Hello, Sir. I already own a Royal Blue suit. It does have a little bit sheen to it, which I think was a bad fabric decision. Now I'm wishing that I should've gone with the evergreen and versatile Navy one. Anyways, I'm panning to get another one tailored, should I go with a Navy or a Charcoal one?
He Spoke Style Thanks I'm excited to see that! Also, do you think a medium Brown like Bourbon or a lighter Brown like walnut would be suitable for a business look in a charcoal suit? Thanks
great video strait to the point ( loved that ) and excellent job on the details....I will subscribe to your channel and I will tell friends and family members to do so also EXCELLENT
I really appreciate your suggestions for hop sack fabrication. How about doing a video on socks or undershirts and perhaps even on preferred underwear.
Good choice, looks very classy on you. I have a vintage DJ 1601 and going to get a new DJ 41. Anyway, your video and your taste just pure class man, cheers!
@@hespokestyle thank you for taking the time to reply. Ofc the color is gray, i was just wondering if there is any specific way ti ask for this shade :)
Not a big fan of the informal ties like in look number 2... I like the business look but with a bright red tie Could you do this video again? This time with navy blue, true blue and maybe double breasted suit jackets...
One of the greatest sadnesses of the 21st century is just how scruffy people have become. The "scruffy look" has been forced upon us in the name of dressing casual. It has also been called the comfortable look. Who would have thought that Jeans with tares in the legs would ever be called "designer wear". Okay, even if you like to wear a suit, for goodness sake leave the off-the-peg suit on the peg and save a bit more money and have a bespoke suit made. However, even a nicely fitting suit won't cut it if you wear a shirt with a collar that doesn't suit the style of the suit. Cut-away-collars are not meant for half-Windsor tie knots. You need a full Windsor knot for those. A forward Point collar is the one to go for if want a half-Windsor tie knot. Button-down is great for casual open neck shirts but if you need a tie with your button-down, go for the Victoria knot as small as you can get it. If you can't get the tie knot right, don't wear a tie at all. I love silver grey ("uk" ) flannel suits or as it is called these days, soft grey.
That suit an extremely light shade of charcoal; almost a mid-grey. It's much more versatile than a dark charcoal suit.
I own a charcoal suit and it is DARK as a piece of charcoal from the BBQ. This gentleman has a mid gray, fine wooled suit. I say, go for a fluffy flannel
I live in the UK and our idea of "charcoal grey" is very dark, almost black. To me the suit in this video is mid grey
Killer production and editing! Oh, and the outfits are nice too ;)
Thanks, as always, Brock. Ian's already said, "we can do it better next time"!
The Modest Man ...I subscribe to both of you ..;-)... would brown shoes be ok with a gray suit ????
Celso
What charchoal? That's medium!
yeah, this isn't charcoal.
Nice to know something new!❤️
Charcoal Suit with burgandy tie, belt and shoes is my most complement suit.
Great choise...
And shirt?
@shahzadatif5567
Good question. I left that out.
Sky blue/baby blue shirt. I prefer; lightest color available. Not too rich in color.
@@1_Bad_Z thanks mate, I'm gonna go for the same 👍🏻

great job! by far the best Menswear channel!
shaved fashion too kind, my man. Really appreciate the support.
Excellent info! Wow, looks very stylish in any configuration.
Semi formal vs formal is basically the same, 99% of the world will still see you as formally dressed.
True. Unless you're talking black tie.
Great looks anyways!
Formal means black tie and up. People just use the word to mean business wear generally. But here in the UK if it says formal on the dress code that means either black or white tie.
Great video dude!
Brian, i just watch you navy suit styling video. Which, in your opinion is more versatile and/or more essential...the classic gray suit or the classic navy suit?
For me, navy all the way.
With that suit you can wear a white shirt and a deep red tie that has a subtle pattern. Or a white shirt and a gold or yellow patterned tie. Or how about a light blue and white striped shirt with a blue and gray patterned tie.
I like those a lot, especially the last 2 combos.
I have gray suit like that and I just got myself brown leather boots....so would you think is ok to put them in together?
10/10 video Brian.
Many thanks, my man!
Maybe I missed or overlooked your video's but what type of undershirts do you pair with your suits?
I'm actually not an undershirt guy, Calvin. Appreciate the comment.
HeSpokeStyle can you please do 5 ways to wear a navy suit? I really loved this video about the dark grey suit
Lakendall Madlock that is high on the priority list
Great looks, great production Brian!
Thanks, Khoi! More on the way!
Great video. Lighter grey suit is next on my list :)
Milan Polívka excellent! Hope you get a good fit!
Mr Brian, you look extremely perfect and reasonable in your charcoal grey suit. My regards.
"...with my rolex datejust..." Subtle but well-deserved brag!
Haha, wasn't trying to brag but appreciate that you didn't view it as snobbish. I worked hard and saved for that watch.
He Spoke Style I'm just messing! But I agree. Anyone who has worked to that point in their career gets my respect. That's a big milestone. Congrats!

I Love To Have A Blue Suit And A Silver Suit.
grey suits pair well with off-white shirt and bottle green tie too
All of the looks of great ideas and and I have a charcoal gray suit that I was married then so thanks and it's my only suit so far

Hopsack is a great fabric if you're looking for maximum versatility. Actually have a video coming out soon that talks about hopsack!

Hi!! I love all these outfits but... Im a little bit confused with the last black and grey shirt, do you really think this does fit in a suit..??
Great video man. Thank you.
Learned a lot from your videos. Thank u Brian. You are such an inspiration!
Good job, great video! For the casual outfit, how do we wear the turtleneck? tucked or untucked ?
StylEd Men you could do either. Depends on how thick the turtleneck is and also how confident you are!
He Spoke Style thank you so much. Last question. Do you suggest a charcoal grey suit for any age, or is something for a more adult guy? I mean, I am 23, could it be a good purchase for me? Or should I wait a few years more?
An absolute must have for any age.

When you wear the turtleneck, you should lose the pocket square
Why???? In my humble opinion it adds to the look....it gives it a cool sophisticated look...peace and love to all
disagree...always a plus to have a pocket square. a jacket looks "incomplete" without one
Nah

Dormeuil. And, it's grey, obviously...
@@hespokestyle thank you for taking the time to reply. Ofc the color is gray, i was just wondering if there is any specific way ti ask for this shade :)
do you tuck your turtleneck while wearing a suit ?

it never makes sense to me to wear suit pants as separates. Pants wear out faster than jackets. One should just have some odd slacks/trousers
