Dude, I know you’re just having some fun with it but honestly, from a 57 year old, from 30 to 40 or 45 is the best part of your life, enjoy it fully! You are right now smarter, stronger and faster than you have ever been. PRIME brother! Right now you have all the tools. Depending on your genes and injuries, and how well you take care of your body and brain, the “old guy” stuff is still a long way off for you. You may even drag it out longer than most if you can hang on to your great appreciation for silliness because attitude makes a big difference also. Try stuff you don’t know about, part of the old guy deal happens because you’ve had years to think about stuff and decide what you like and don’t like, and you only choose the stuff you like, which is a cool benefit BUT you’ll end up in a rut, always thinking and sayin and doing the the same old stuff. And remember, Les Paul played guitar pretty well his whole life, even with serious arthritis.

Turning 30 is one of those subjects where people have to laugh merely in order to keep from crying. It's a silly video about a subject that actually hits people more seriously than it probably ought to. I keep coming back to it just to send it around to my friends and family as they turn 30.
At 29 you can still shred, but A DAY LATE and you can't anymore.... 😆 LOL! Though, as a 33-year-old extremely frustrated guitar novice, that really hits home like a meteor even though it's a joke. 🥴 I'm also about 29 years late for taking up violin, but maybe some of us really are just late bloomers after all. 🤘😛 These internet resources weren't even available when we were kids; the nearest equivalent would have been to make illegal copies of friends' VHS tapes; we're THAT old. 😱

Don't worry Stevie, life starts at 30! I remember when I turned 30, that was nearly 30 freaking years ago, and I my bass playing is better than ever. My music taste hasn't changed, and I drive my Crown Vic Police Interceptor as fast as I always have. That said, stairs do suck. LOL. Just remember, you can't stop your body from aging, but your mind can stay as young forever. So live long, and die young!

Get a grip on it Stevie. I know a guitarist here in San Diego, Mudelle Lowe, who is one on the jazz greats. He is 95, and he still plays gigs and loves to practice and learn all the time. Time is fiction. You only exist IN THE NOW. THIS MOMENT. Everything else you think about the past or future does not exist, in reality. Love 'ya, babe (as Sammy Davis Jr. might say). The day you were born, you were headed toward the grave. In some way, life itself is a journey toward the grave. Best advice...enjoy today...enjoy the journey, and try not to compare yourself to others. This life is a gift. It is fun at times, and at other times, it is complete suffering. Have a happy day!!!
