My bass player is the antithesis to the stereotypical bass player: He learns songs almost instantly, he actually nails them and interlocks with the kick drum, his rig dwarfs the guitar player's (in terms of both volume and sheer size), he's the only one who never did drugs and for years, he was the only one who managed to get a driver's license.
...but he IS good at Smash Bros.
Bass player for a band i knew Hurley's Apparatus broke 3 strings in a row during a show, they lost 20 minutes of their set
Why did I relate so much to the, “I’m sorry” bits
I play bass, and I like Black metal. My ears have now mastered the art of finding the bass.
I can agree with bass being easier than guitar the guitar was the first instrument I tried to learn failed majorly then I went and the bass it was just so much more natural for some reason
Jesus christ, this is too relatable
‘What’s the root note again’ me when I try recording bass
He probably learned this just for the video (or maybe one of the other bass videos), and he’s so much better than me.
"How do I play a simplified version of that?"
"Wait wait wait what did he play? Can you play that again? I'm lost."
"I am the bus driver."
"Ah! Uh! Dang it!"
"I was just kidding, don't kick me out."
me in a nutshell
Is funny because is true lmao.

Just saw this in 2020, can confirm smash 64 is the my favorite bass
If I had a nickle for every time a bass player talked about Smash Bros I could actually afford studio time.
2:53 literally my bassist friend each time he comes to my house to practice with the band

Bass: The red-headed step-child of the band.
