I had never noticed before that the bumpers at 07:04 are probably what inspired Strike Man's weapon appearance in Mega Man 10?

I love it when you just pull these out all of a sudden. This video was really fast paced and I look forward to seeing and hearing a bunch of things I missed the first 20 times :)

I also found out last time I played MM6 that battack can kill those spikey rocket spine things. I think it's a really awesome weapon now! (Saves having to keep use power adapter).

You've definitely improved your commentary since megaman 1. In mm1, you seemed kind of bored while now you seem happy and you sound like you have fun while making the videos.
Thanks! Not bored so much as uncertain that the gameplay alone would be interesting enough, so the commentary was more of a side note than a focal point. I've really enjoyed recording the commentary for most of my videos, but MM4-6 were especially fun.
I am in love with this video, mostly the flying mishaps. :3

@GeminiLaser Well, I can see a similarity at least. Strike Man's weapon isn't the same colour, but it's central 'eye' flashes when it bumps, like these bumpers do. Maybe I try to look too hard into these things :-p

Something I was curious about (besides all of your show-offery. Those questions can wait,) are you doing MM7 on SNES, or the fan made Famicom version, or both?
There's this funny thing that people usually do when they find something they don't like: they find something else. Not that difficult and costs you nothing. Actually, it even frees up your time.
That's why you should master the the art of the doggie flying.

theory no 3, Dr Light's teleportation device has a short range so can only work at close proximatory to the location, and as Dr Wily's arenas of mega death are so big... it doesn't give mega man much leeway for easy boss hunts

Rewatching this video after a busy day at work. I'm so tired that when GL is talking about how he practices his tricks with the video showing him repeating the same things over and over, I thought to myself, "do you record your practice sessions in case you find something cool you want to put in a video?"

@GeminiLaser perhaps Dr. Light enhanced the range of the teleportation device sometime between MM6 and MM8.

@GeminiLaser Well, they did show us that they had a truck in the intro stage of MM 7. Ok, they might have used it to get things like groceries and WiIly got out of prison while they were on it, but they still have a truck!
You should record a video of your friends playing Super Impossible, but instead of the game audio, the accompanying track is their weeping and groans of agony as they die over and over again.
Well this is a pleasant surprise. I hope this is a precursor to more showoffery for SNES Mega Man in the future.

@GeminiLaser 1) a chamber is only one room, which makes your point mega man is teleporting to the edge and being at the beginning of the level 2 different things
2) the second half of the point (providing I don't have to retype and delete too much) makes sense unless whatever threat they pose is useless hence no civilians
3) I don't think Dr Wily would be so careless as to make the areas his robot masters are terrorizing as easily accessible.

@GeminiLaser the first one (barrier around the chamber) would not prevent teleportation near the boss. the second (need to clear the area of minion robots) would be a lot easier without an overseer pressing them. and of course Dr light would be driving the truck, unless you can provide an explanation as to how mega man could both drive it and teleport at the same time

Ya know, you're voice seems to have changed a little. Great video, by the way, and I can't wait to play Mega Man 6, so I can practise, well, FLYING and SLIDING. Mostly changing colours, though. I always figured Mega Man teleported so far away from the bosses because he wanted to destroy the bosses' minions too.

@GeminiLaser Well... one problem with your counterargument: if you think about the sort of world mega man is set in we have very advanced technology judging by the robot design and Dr light is one of the top ranked scientist so the idea that he also designed some sort of transportation to get from one location to another is not far fetched. before you shoot this down by pointing out the idea of using it instead of the teleporter think of Dr light's safety

my face hurts from all the laughter! long ago i found an interesting way to die in mm4. at the end of that scrolling stage there was a 1up you had to use the balloon adapter to get and if you immediately slide back... boom! molecules everywhere :(

HEY! I found a way to help you... Belatedly. In YamaTomamahawk's stage (Or, Tomahawk), you could have gotten the Energy Balancer, gone back down the ladder, and backtracked to the path for the Beat part. It worked out rather well when I tried it.
I your lucky then you can get Knight man's ball thing off screen if you're on either edge of the arena and he will be stuck for a mediocre amount of time.
