Wow looks great if The city let you You can drive on the sand If your tires have inner tubes in them You just let the air out And bring along along a little air pump You just need to be flat on the bottom you don't wanna let all the air out we used to do this all the time We were sand dunes and everything else And you sit on the side of your van and cook Watch the sun go down
These look amazing! Definitely going to have to try this recipe next time I get some clams. Might have to use cockles and blues since in Oregon razors are still closed. I know that after trying your (amazing) crab california roll recipe that you don't steer us wrong and that these will be good! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Hopefully this next Razor Clam season is spectacular for you in Oregon. Should be some big ones waiting in the fall :)
Fun Video! We dug some razor clams on Sunday and was looking for a new way to have them. I watched a lot of videos with fritter recipes, but you had me at bacon.
Totally! Panko fried clam strips are definitely one of my favorite ways to eat Razor Clams. Chowder is way up there too. Really I love them in anything lol.
Loving all your videos. Just found your clamming videos after we went clamming for manillas and wanted to learn more. Definitely giving me a lot of good ideas for fishing in the PNW.
Saved this video for the furture! Awesome! Never seen this before. I cannot believe all the people out there lol. Thats really cool! Something new to me for sure. New Sub! I want to come back and show my wife this. VERY cool
I like cooking them the way I've made Thai sweet chili fried calamari. Good recipe for razors, but not for other clams. Except that I've not been able to fish either razors or squid in over a year because of COVID, domoic acid, and timing of these May digs. :(
It really was the perfect storm of things to go wrong with fishing this past year! Hopefully domoic acid settles a bit soon and we get some good clam and squid seasons this fall/winter. I hadn't thought to do a sweet chili fried clam like for squid. I bet that's so tasty! I'm definitely going to have to try that! Thanks for the tip :)
I can't believe you cut the top half of the Digger off. What a waste there is a way you can get the guts out and keep the digger whole. When you cut off the Digger, stick your index finger in the Digger and scoop out the dark stuff. You can get most of it out that way then what I do is I fillet the Digger open and finish getting the rest of it out
They're delicious. Definitely try them if you get a chance. Yeah, they're affected by domoic acid which is more common in summer warmer temperatures so we usually have a Sep-May season but this year was abnormal in that domoic acid closed clamming for much of the winter/spring and this was the first opener since Sep of last year.
We have some but not nearly the levels that California has where they're completely devouring kelp forests and just decimating really critical habitats.
please watch a couple of clam cleaning videos. the foot is the best a tenderest part of the clam and you are cutting half off and wasting it, just saying.
Has always been called a " clam gun". Funny thing I just saw a u-tube by the washington fish & game, they called it a clam tube, I think they are so woke they are afraid of shooting themselves in the foot!
@@robertbean8116 washington has called them clam tubes since the 1970's. at one time, 'clam gun' was a copyrighted name brand for a seattle-made clam tube.
Hello. You are a beautiful and colorful lady. Good luck. I would like to live in such a beautiful country. It is a pity that despite the dictatorship that exists in my country and the asylum laws, there is no refuge.😓😓😓
It was painful to watch you put clams in water before it’s on the full boil. Mine pop open in 6 seconds, sparing them having to feel the tortuous scald so long. Also, I want someone to tell me a good reason to snip off the ends of the siphons. In my opinion, it’s just a waste of good clam meat. 🤦♂️ I wonder who the first person was to do this. Definitely not an indigenous person. Your fritter recipe looks incredible! I’m going to do it tonight, in fact. I’m up here near Lopez Island on a very small island called Center Island. Razor clamming has never been so good on the Newport, Oregon beaches. I have two limits in the freezer up here. Thank you so much for the fantastic tutorial on the cooking of the clams.
If you are doing an instructional video on cleaning (which I'm sure others are going to use) then you need to learn how to clean them properly! Remove the guts and leave the digger all intact, you're wasting the best part!!
Holy cow gotta marry this woman. She is definitely a keeper. Those fritters look delish!!!
We love your videos. Your happy giggles are heartwarming. We miss seeing new videos. Hope you are well. Thank you 💕
Good job... great activity for the entire family! Fritters look tasty😋
Thank you 😋 Yeah, I love to bring my nephews out on clam days. What kid doesn't love digging holes lol?
We all want and need more content from YOU Ms SEAWOLF because your funny and awesome.
That's an insane amount of people looking for razor clams.

Num, num, num. Thank you for your video.
So tasty. I could eat Razor clams every week lol.
That is a low tide! I cant believe you got that sucker! They are fast. We love clamming! Almost went last weekend.
Hahaha, right?! I'm so stoked we got at least one weekend of digs in before summer. Already looking forward to the night digs of next winter :)

Woot! Never tried razor clams is there a season for them? Do they get quarantined during certain times of the year like mussels?

Do you get purple urchins up in Washington? They're wiping out the kelp beds here in California and considered an invasive species.

What is the tools name that you’re using to get the clams?

I hope they are safe to eat?
