I am honored to call Jon my friend, and watching this as it unfolded from within the loving and supportive community of our gym at CrossFit Richardson was amazing. Rich is an absolutely class act and the CrossFit community is blessed to have had him influence the sport the way he has. When two great guys decide to act not on their own behalf, but on the behalf of their community, incredible things happen. Jon and Rich are both impacting and serving others and the effect of that will reach further than they'll ever fully know.

its fair to say that Rich got me in to Crossfit for real. I was looking for a way to train, to make my training more fun and challenging, and Rich was the first that popped up. Such an inspiration for people of all ages. What a great great guy! There's a long way from Denmark to Cookville, but to train at Crossfit Mayhem, and who knows.....to meet my all time Crossfit hero, is on my bucket list for sure. Thanx Rich (and crew) for always being world class!
Hell my goal is to look like this guy...that's more attainable than me trying to look like Rich...while dieting somewhat and also having alcohol within those parameters.

Had an opportunity to meet Rich last year. I was visiting Cookville to attend a CrossFit Weighlifting clinic during the 2018 Open. He made himself available for numerous hours, talking to anyone and everyone, and taking pics of course. And you are spot on about how it is like talking to a friend. Seems like nobody is a stranger to him. Class act.
