In this video I’m sharing how I made a tennis skirt out of a men’s shirt. It’s super interesting how you can upcycle one piece of clothing to another & as you guys know thrift flips are my favourite. Also this was highly requested.

Kerline Bay Deb i actually have a question, if u don’t mind. I am having a hard time making enough pleats to fit around my body, how do I figure out exactly how many I need?
May be you can redo the pleats & make it smaller. Or your whole skirt base ideally should be= your hip area x2.5 (like I did in the video from 7:00) Wear the skirt after creating the pleats & readjust while its on your body, that’s the best way to find out, tbh it’s a trial an error process
Kerline Bay Deb okay, i did some math and i May have found a way. Thank you tho! I’m just afraid it gets too poofy, is there anything i can do to make it, you know less poofy? Haha
take less fabric for the pleats, and as long as it’s thin, pressed & well fitted it shouldn’t be poofy

What if your skirt is long and the waist band is smaller because your waist is tiny (and have no extra fabric) then what would you do ??
