I got some ribbed fabrics recently so thought to try the OVERLOCKER trend that you can see all over Tiktok & Instagram.
The best thing is that I have shared how to do it without a SERGER or OVERLOCKER MACHINE
It’s super easy & beginner friendly.
Also shared some pattern ideas, hope you guys like it :)

hey! to make it easier for you, you can just fold the material on the lines you want and sew over the folded edge rather than cutting them! love the purple one so much, will definitely be recreating :)
Yes I thought the same but then realised it only works if your creating lines. Because I mixed all horizontal, vertical & diagonal lines it will create unwanted darts near the seam line corners. But offcourse do what feels easy for you 🥰❤️

I like all three but my favorite is the lilac one.
I have done this to a fine knit jumper that was far too big for me - it turned out awesome!!! thank you for the tutorial. I was searching for a way to make a sports top, the ones that have the overstitching with contrasting stitches but I assume I will need a serger .

Are you pulling the material a little bit to get the wavy look?

For the first purple top, did you fold on the fabric twice and then see zig zag to get that ruffled look or you just zig zagged to get the ruffled look? Because I see you do both in video but I don’t know which one to do
For the armholes, neck & bottom edges, double fold- thats best
