DIY TENNIS SKIRT/PLEATED SKIRT (with inside short)

My name is Jess and I love making clothes in a simply but pretty way.
Welcome or welcome back to another requested tutorial. Lot of you have asked for this skirt. And here it is.
To make this DIY, please check out my basic information below:
1- Sewing machine: Merrit Joyful Sewing
2- Material: 1.5m fabric of lightly woven polyester
3- My body measurements: 82-66-92. I'm 165cm
I made this skirt with an inside short/pants so that one who worry of wearing a skirt that is too short and can show the butt. But if you don't want the inside short, just skip that part.
This skirt is so on trend now and in fact you can create so many different looks with this skirt. That's why I'm so in love with it after finishing. Even I thought it's quite too young for me in the beginning, haha.

I made a skirt a few weeks back and it gave me some problem to sit on my waist and hip ... I was hoping to see you release a tutorial so glad I found this 🥰

formula to figure out the lower part of the pleats:
hip measurement - Waist measurement= diference.
diference / 16 (number of pleats)= cm you have to move the pleats.
the measurment you have to stitch the pleats is just the measurement between the waist and hips. you can use 16 cm, but it will be different for everybody.

This is great! I have a black pleated skirt like this and it's a nice piece to pair with sweaters that don't quite cover my bottom, makes it look like I'm wearing a color-blocked dress. By the way, make some more color-blocked diy's. I like the black and yellow shortie you made last year 😸

I'm so happy I found this. I've been trying to reduce the size of a purchased pleated skirt for my daughter. After decreasing the size on both sides my pleats are not coming out even. I think now I can figure it out and replace the waist band. Thank you. Any other tips on doing this?

This is absolutely gorgeous, definitely going to be using your tutorials all the time:). Just how do you make a button hole neat like the slit part? I've never made anything with buttons.
I use the button making pressor foot on my sewing machine to make it. But you can hand-made it as well

Você entendeu a parte em que ela faz o forro do short? , Tipo ela cortou 69cm de largura e 32 cm de comprimento, n entendi a parte em q ela colocou (69cm= 1.5 x 1/2 hip size) qual seria esse cálculo poderia me dizer?

hi there!!! i was wondering if I ccan just use regular cotton blend fabric for this skirt??? the thing is I'm making a shirt for my bf and I wanted to make a skirt to match lol and I have this floral fabric that I'm 99% sure is cotton blend (I got it a year ago so I don't remember and I'm just starting now so I don't really know how to tell...) thank you!!!
