Hey guys! I thought I would give an update + some context for this video so you could learn more about what these outfits mean to me! Firstly, this video was filmed over a year ago, so many of the “basic” outfits in this video were not as trendy back then. I had only really seen few people doing the collared shirt paired with a crew neck trend, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone. And similar with the shirt and turtleneck. After being on UA-cam and Tiktok more openly, I’m much more confident about my outfits and my personal style, so that explains why I was able to post this to such a large audience. I hope that clears things up!
And it could also be the person themselves that does that to themselves. Im not disregarding the possibility that the girl wasnt made fun of or teased by the students at her school to make her be insecure about wearing those clothes even the comforting ones. It could also be her negative perspective with large doses of insecurity that makes her think if everyone's gonna judge her but in reality they dont really care. Sometimes when a person is too insecure about what most people think about them, it really molds the mentality into something so negative that it deludes whats reality and whats just in our heads. Thats one of the things i get from this video.

I can understand why for the last one School dress codes are sooo sexist towards girls to where if a guy walked into school with that short a skirt on, teachers wouldn't even bat an eye, but if a girl wears it, they are subjected to the finger test and told they are a "distraction" and be ordered to go change and/or be written up You'd think the 21st century would finally recognize how wrong this is and change it, but that's just wishful thinking on my end 😒
Let me just tell you, my life completely flipped when I stopped caring about what other people thought of me. They really don’t care about others they only care about theirselves. Wear whatever you want to school (acknowledging your school dress code) as long as it makes you feel confident, that’s all that matters
@@SuggestAUsernameForMe for me I feel the most confident in tight clothing but it took me a while to get used to it because I was raised with strict parents and baggy clothing most of my life so once I started wearing tighter clothing I realized how new it was for me and how uncomfy I would feel in it but at the same time really liked how I looked? if that makes sense so now I wear tight clothing for myself and to feel good but it took time getting used to
Your outfits are so cute and trendy, you should definitely wear them to school with confidence! Don't be afraid to express yourself through your style, you look amazing in every outfit!
except when u get to sixth form (or college). ik some sixth forms have uniform but mine has a dress code of business casual so we have to wear our own clothes but gotta buy formal ones smh no wearing trousers to school for me😩
@𝓢𝓣𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪 Every school in the UK have a school uniform which you HAVE to wear, my school is particularly strict about uniform rules. Only when you get into college you are allowed to wear your own clothes :)

Ik everyone is saying “ i don’t see why she’s scared to wear these they’re normal “ but i actually can relate. It isn’t always revealing clothes that we are scared to wear, it’s how we look in certain clothes. Maybe we won’t look as good as other people in them. I personally own the first two outfits or smth similar but i wore them like once or twice cuz i don’t think i look as good in them as everybody else. And always remember everyone’s struggle is different and she could be scared to wear them for another reason that’s just the way i relate to it :) Ok shoot this blew up! But im glad i found that other ppl also feel that way, so always remember that you are never alone :)
Also I go to a really small school so if I wore stuff I didn’t usually wear everyone in my classes would notice because everyone knows everyone. Another thing that sucks is I’m scared to wear certain clothes and try out different styles because my mom has made fun of the stuff that my sister wears

The world is getting more acceptive of women in suits, which I totally support. If you want to wear one, then go for it. Something I want to note though is that a suit is too extra for a regular day. Maybe wear it for an event or prom. 💜

@@mayspring243 what others think truly doesn’t matter. do what makes you happy. im alt and no one gives me any issues for it, i don’t even get weird looks. at the end of the day it matters how YOU feel and not what others think. plus people who judge others based off style probably aren’t the best to be around anyways

I wore lolita on a regular day when it wasn’t Halloween once, no one looked twice. They just said they liked my dress or didn’t care about it. Sometimes when you feel insecure about smt you think is a big deal, there’s usually a big chance that no one will notice it. wore gore fx makeup smack dab on my face to school in the middle of april my junior year. i had a photography assignment that day & my vision 4 it included spooky/gory themes. i didn't want to rush thru doing the makeup during lunch so i just went to school like that. fun day.

I feel like I’m missing something… these are the most basic school outfits ever. I saw at least 20 people with these exact outfits today in the hallway.
Right?! This fortunately got normalized so people won’t judge you for using it, at least from where I’m from. In my case there’s stuff I really want to wear but don’t cause it’s too short, tight or just too goth for me to even feel comfortable while going out. Even then, I dress fairly gothic and people stare at me or whisper but it’s better to just ignore them!

Recently I learned that literally no one cares what you’re wearing, so wear whatever makes you feel happy. The worst case scenario is that no one compliments it, but that’s honestly how I would want it to be haha
No, they do care enough to notice and talk about it behind your back or loud enough to make a show of it. It's a lie when people said no one cares what you do, say, or wear because people do. Even while going on minding their own business even if they might not directly confront you about it. Because in reality I am one of those people. I judge people even when I seem like I don't care. I stop myself most the times while doing it if I notice myself doing it. But I still judge and I made horrible assumptions.

To anyone reading this, I hope it can reach your heart: I recently graduated from school and now I’m so sad that I never dared to really show myself to the outside world. I just realised that most of the time that I’ve been alive I always lived in fear of what others thought of me and now that it’s too late I am so full of regret. I never really got to develop my personality because I was so stuck in this suffocating mindset of feeling like I had to please everyone. Please don’t do the same mistakes that I did. You are a gorgeous human being inside and out and it’s your life. Mistakes happen. Shit happens. So what? The worst thing that can happen is looking back at life in a few years and regretting never to have really lived. Be brave! It’s okay to be vulnerable! Wear the stuff you want and don’t be afraid to be nice to people before they’ve made the first move! I believe in you and although I don’t know you I love you. Sorry this was probably way too long and maybe way to serious but perhaps I can kind of prevent somebody from making the same mistakes I did. But no matter how late it is I believe there is always a way to change things for the better. I will try to. I wish you all the best!!

In my case there’s stuff I really want to wear but don’t cause it’s too short, tight or just too goth for me to even feel comfortable while going out. Even then, I dress fairly gothic and people stare at me or whisper but it’s better to just ignore them!

No, they do care enough to notice and talk about it behind your back or loud enough to make a show of it. It's a lie when people said no one cares what you do, say, or wear because people do. Even while going on minding their own business even if they might not directly confront you about it. Because in reality I am one of those people. I judge people even when I seem like I don't care. I stop myself most the times while doing it if I notice myself doing it. But I still judge and I made horrible assumptions.

I recently graduated from school and now I’m so sad that I never dared to really show myself to the outside world.
I just realised that most of the time that I’ve been alive I always lived in fear of what others thought of me and now that it’s too late I am so full of regret.
I never really got to develop my personality because I was so stuck in this suffocating mindset of feeling like I had to please everyone.
Please don’t do the same mistakes that I did.
