- To say #Homeland has been an emotional roller coaster throughout its eight seasons would be an understatement. From Brody to Quinn to Max, we’ve lost some of the show’s most beloved characters over the years. In honor of the series finale, here’s a look back at Homeland’s most noteworthy deaths.

I can never get over with the death of Quinn and Max....
I love how Max evolved and was a major hero in the end.
It's crazy how we only knew Saul's asset Anna for less than two episodes and her death was still so impactful in the series finale
4 deaths that still REALLY bother me are : Astrid, Fara, Quinn and Max. I was really hoping Carrie would somehow be able to save Max right up till the end there. that was heartbreaking to see. his character had come such a long way. other than Saul, he was the only other trustworthy, loyal friend Carrie had and just an awesome guy. RIP Max
Astrid’s death was heartbreaking. I knew Quinn wasn’t gonna make it thru the season after that
Fara's death still hurts the most. Well next to Quinn and Max. I really liked her character and I was looking forward to having her in the coming seasons, then bam. she's taken.

Quinn's death will always be the worst death for me. So freaking sad...He was definitely my favorite character. Homeland wasn't the same after he was gone.

Fara and Max's death gave me the most pain. Can't help but wonder Max's love for Fara, they both died very sadly too.

Max was a fab character..I was gutted when he was killed...Brody was amazing but Peter Quinn ..wow! For me Carrie and Saul's relationship was incredible.

Fantastic story telling, character evolution and consistency. Ending was brilliant too. GOT and Dexter writers can learn from this that its possible to do justice to your fans and sign off in style.

What happened to virgil? It was weird that Max was meant to be Virgil's assistant but Max played the bigger part in the end and Virgil was never mentioned after season 2 or 3
