Adam want to say thanks for the help with the pretests, your videos were beneficial and with just 10-12 hours of practice, I went from barely swimming to easily passing the lifeguard pretest thanks to you.
I took the re cert class today. One thing I will say about the brick test: if u have any vertigo/dizziness issues pls be very careful. I have something called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. The pressure change from going to the bottom of the pool really made me dizzy. Sups rare but something to be mindful of.
You need the Epply Maneuver done one you.
Yooo , haven’t seen your vids in while. Prob cuase I actually got the job so thanks
lets go, congrats
For the brick part do we get just one attempt or can we ask for two or three, should we fail the first one?
one attempt
The Red Cross website sucks but I finally found the two pre-requisite tests but I can't find what tests they do at the end of training. Help!
Also, do you know if the tests are different for deep water lifeguard training (vs. 7 foot water)?
Final tests are going to be the same: multiple choice exam 40-60 questions, cpr aed movk exam, and water rescues test where they give u scenarios and U have to respond with the correct save and execute it. If it’s 7 foot water, the rescues will pertain to that
What happens if you fail to lift up the brick during your first dive? Can I surface and dive again if I still have enough time left?
yes u can, however u dont want to get to that point. Bec the instructor (if strict) wont like it. it puts it up in the air/ out of your control if the instrucot doesnt feel confident in your ability. Most of the time is fine, but i wouldnt rely on it
@@LifeofAdam thank you for the reply. do we get just one attempt or can we ask for two or three, should we fail the first one?
How big/noticeable is the brick under water
I would say pretty noticeable if it’s on the white tiles. Only thing is if it lands on the black tiles it is kinda hard to see ngl
