@@vincenzomafodda thanks a lot! 🙏🙏🙏
Yes, you had 2 fish for a while. They try to steal the bait item from each other. The bend hook is because you are too strong bro, stop going to the gym 🤣 Petri, nice video again.
@@LJBFishing haha yes! Petri Dank 🙋♂️
Almost exactly the same thing happened to me recently. After hooking a little tunny, a monster came and grabbed it!
incredible situation😳.. always wonderful and interesting videos Max🔝🔝

This video look crazy. I never saw a stuff like that.🤯
But i’m pretty sure that fish was really big…. Unlucky
Nice video Man 😍💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥🔥
@@SeaHookersfishing thanks bro, yes it doesn't really started to fight 😅 before it bend the hook. Definitely it would be a crazy challenge to get it out.
Tight Lines Max
Wow, that sounds crazy . Yes, probably you've gotten double hooked . Maybe it was a big grouper? It makes more sense to me because of the unhooking. But it depends on what bottome you were fishing. It's just a thought .
@@BillieSuit first Grouper was also in close consideration. The fish was definitely strong and the structure holds big Groupers. Because of the bite marks (there weren't any cuts) I excluded it.
But Groupers are definitely attracted by flashings of another fish. Look how they catch them in the US...
TL Max
@@maxdocken yes yes I've seen them .
@@BillieSuit big Tunny dropped, some flashes and a bend rod immediately!
I caught a nice bonito and saw 2 dentex follow it to the shore.
@@oltayageldim8748 oh crazy! They attacked it or they were just looking?
Let me guess your heart stopped for a second when they appeared? 😅
Tight Lines Max
The scratches on the one side of the bonito indicate that was a kind of lost fishing equipment a net or a longline maybe. There is no bite on the bonito that will be the case if it was a big fish.
@@Yannis123S you mean the fish scratched its body over the "leftovers" down there? What wonders me is it was only in one spot, if it swims along it, it would be along the whole side right?
Greetings Max
Viele Grüße
Max
wow what an aggressive bonito, at first I thought you had an amberjack. I saw similarly aggressive bonito but in this case the sea was rough and had a lot of oxygen, yours had a smooth sea 🧐
@@ERYKjigging hi bro, yes the sea was super calm and not much activity. Just the change of jigging technique gave me this one opportunity, which nearly got me another hit.
Tight Lines and good to see you on the shore again!
hello max what is your set up ??? than s
@@jemeregale_fishing2082 hey man, it's Zenaqs Muthos Accura 100H, a Catalina 4500 H and PE 3 line. As leader 40 lbs FC. Jig was a 105 g Classic Gekito Jig with Jigger Medium Assist Hooks #5/0.
Greetings Max
Maybe some old fishing net with rope or other fish!!! I sought few times that amberjack follow catched bonito imitating every move or it was big grouper!
@@weekendfisher it was definitiv fish, proof is the bend hook. A fishing net or line will just result in a line breaking.
Wow never saw a big hunter following, only same species.
TL Max
@@maxdocken amberjack literally imitating every move of bonito behind!🙂 It's very strange but interesting to see!!!
@@weekendfisher crazy! Would love to see it one day, or even better to catch it! 😋
It was probably an amberjack that tried to steal the sardine from the bonito and got hooked! I have seeing it happening in front of me but with a silicone and two ambejacks! Got the one the other left with the silicone part!!! By the way on the same island, just on the other side!!!
@@GerasimosPapadopoulos-jf1fy good to hear. You mean the Bonito spit a sardine or it thought the silicone was a sardine?
Crazy to see that. Especially perch species are very jealous when it comes to food! 🤓
Tight Lines! 🙋♂️
@maxdocken In your case, I meant that the amberjack tried to steal the jig (If I saw well it was a sardine jig). In my case the second amberjack was chasing the hooked one in order to steal the fiiish silicone...
Another interesting video!for a 2 kilo bonito, how many kilos fish suppose to be to eat her?more than 15 kilos..So...15 kilos fish it will 1.take you a lot of drag, then 2.break your rod!the Assist hook have more than 10 kilos strenght,so maybe the assist was weak and the fish big,,,
@@rocketbunnye85 the fish was definitely big, I felt it and I would agree on the 15 kg +. For sure it will take a lot of drag but it will definitely not break the rod (the biggest fish I have caught with Zenaqs Accura 100H was a 55+ kg Tuna). The Assist was the Jigger Medium Hook from Owner, it's strong enough, but in this case it didn't hook up well, so it's easy to bend, even with stronger hooks.
Tight Lines! 🙋♂️

@@maxdocken The sea everytime surprising us!! Tight lines from Zakynthos😉

@@rocketbunnye85 yeah absolutely! This makes me go out there again and again and again!
Tight lines brother! 💪
Not a grouper. This was not in grouper zone depth not to mention that bonito is ultra fast.Only AJ could do this, sucked the assist hook. Didnt try to run away, was simply pull push mode that ended with Hook being bent because it didnt get deep enough. Bad luck. Crazy situation. But you already figured this out I am sure.
@@hldemi_fishing yes bro - I see it the same way! It was a crazy experience - next time I hope for a proper hook up! 🤓
Tight Lines Max
I feel it was a grouper bro.By the way it is also informative the change on the jigging style to attract the lazy fish!
@@shorejiggerchris3364 yes this place holds groupers for sure, so there is a possibility. A jig can do much more compared to what most of the people do (fast pitch jigging).
Same happend to me 30kg amberjack atacked my 3kg albacore for 15 seconds and then fish let it go , my rod was bending like twig
Yes unfortunately a live bait is still the best possible bait to fish. 😅
Sometimes we fish accidentally live bait... 🤭
Tight Lines Max
Maybe a big grouper+_- nice video
@@alexargiris1291 thanks bro! Yes definitely a possibility, but imo there would be some deeper cuts in the fish right?
@@maxdocken yes
strange things happen at sea Max i ve never seen that happen but if it was an aj i cannot imagine its size hehe . please give us more videos with the 95h xD
@@michaelvlachos9122 hey Michael,
thanks for your comment. It's really hard to tell how big the fish was but, what I felt was really heavy.
Of course - Im fishing with the 95H but please note that this rod is Muthos Accura 100H Type R.
Tight Lines Max
Bro stop using the jigger medium already. They are not suitable for such heavy use as shore jigging.. how many fish should you lose before you use proper heavy duty assists.. it's a pity having this elite gear and your assists failing you.. the fish barely took any drags
@@gregmarg9682 the Jigger Medium is a Hook I trust a 100%! It's perfect for that kind of heavy fishing and shore jigging! It was not the hooks fault, it just didn't hook up well or was sitting on a bone, that's why it bend. That can happen even with stronger hooks when they sit purely.
I caught a 55 + kg fish on a jigger medium, not bend, nothing.
Have you tried Jigger Medium ever?

Die “Kratzspuren” sehen sehr nach AJ aus. Habe sowas mal beim Driften mit nem kleinen Tunny gesehen. Die sahen genau so aus. War bestimmt ein kapitaler Fisch - trotzdem Petri…

😮Max i believe a team of bonitos attack your jing and the one you lost was bigger. If it would be a hunter of the bonito like you said the bonito would be the hulf or at least with some bites. My opinion 🙏.
@@nektariosa4893 regarding to the bite marks it must have been a fish without big teeth, that's I don't think it was another Bonito.
If the sign on the fish was not from the attack it could be another Bonito who attacked the jig as well.

Hello Vangeli,
first of all I wish good fishing, health and always fun too! A 4 kg + Bonito is a very nice fish and I believe it's very fast and powerful. The question here is the second assist hook which was bend. This could only happen with a second fish. Or do you think there was a second Bonito in the game?
