In 2012, I spent 50 days travelling across the Himalayas on a RE 350 classic 2005 bike. Myself and my friend on the bike with two 35 kg haversacks tied on to side carriers. Any other bike would have had serious damages considering the bike was hauling about 230 Kgs for 14 hours a day in very rough terrain. But the RE stood strong except for a few flat tyres. I'm sure the RE Hunter is as strong as the classic.

Great clear review Royal Enfield always fantastic value for money unlike the other manufacturers no wonder I own 3 of them 😊👍
so, what's your opinion on this bike would you like to own one if you were to live in London
as far as commuting goes its good enough
@@matthewtoes6433 Hi Matthew I’m waiting for my local dealer to get a Demo i like the fact that it’s lighter than my other 350’s it’s a strong possibility that I will buy one
That's what you call a real life road test, spot on Kate.....
It's what I pictured London to be actually. 🤣🤣 As for the bike, I think this is the perfect environment for it. A well rounded commuter. 👍
I went for a ride to the Gold Coast a few weeks ago and stopped for a hot tea at a small town 35 kilometres from the coast. I parked beside a Royal Enfield model called the Intercepter 650 and was later talking to the owner. He liked it and it looked to be a well finished bike too. Kate, I really appreciate how you ride and test such a wide variety of bikes. Well done to you.
Had the Dapper Grey for about 3 months in Thailand 🇹🇭 and absolutely love it . Believe it or not its about a thousand pound cheaper too ❤
Looks a decent little run around the 350 , great vlog Kate although going through London is like death race 2022 🤣🤣🤣 stay safe out there 👍🏻
I would say it also is a option for us older riders. Light, low horsepower, you can do your own valves and DIY tire changes.
KATE I' M FROM MÉXICO !!!
I HAVE MY INTERCEPTOR 650cc.
ORANGE CRUSH, I I LOVE IT, GREAT TRADE MARK !!!
I wasn't expecting that! Loads of people are reviewing this and other Royal Enfield bikes right now, the are hugely popular and address the growing feeling that the days of "Big Touring Bikes" are coming to an end. But I didn't expect to see you or your Buddy, Ruby riding one of these. I was very surprised to hear you directly answer my question (yeah, but you wouldn't buy one would you?) because I don't get the impression that they would be fast (or branded) enough for you. Very interesting. Much kudos to you for going anywhere near London on a motorbike. It isn't my idea of a fun time.
Huh? things don't have to be fast or 'branded' enough for me to like them - although I think RE is a HUGE brand. But no, I'd definitely own one. Lovely machine! Glad you found it interesting :)
Excellent review!! You did a fantastic job. I fancy the dapper ash livery.
oooh nice choice! and thank you!
I would admit...i did not think I would see you on an RE...but im glad you loved this ride...I am now looking forward to you trying out their entire range Kate! Love from India!
Great real world review I’ve had my Hunter 350 just 1 week and covered just 80 miles as I don’t want to cover it in salt that we have here in the Peak District , so far I love it , looks great , sounds great , comfy and economic and so easy to ride 👍
I’m thinking about this bike for my first , I’m 5’10 and scared I’ll be too big for it as it’s a dinky bike
Where do the marketing people get their ideas from? A bike is a bike. For me the Hunter 350 is aimed at anyone who wants a modern, great looking, classically styled bike. Someone who won’t be doing lots of high speed, long distance riding. It’s size and set up means it can be ridden by anyone and its financially within the reach of many.
This is getting a lot of interest at the RE shop I work at. There’s a couple more REs coming out soon.
The Blue and white which Ruby is riding looks fab.Great video
Fell into saleswoman mode at the end there Kate. 👍
Nah, I don't know what that mode is anymore 🤣
How do RE do it for the money, proper looking motorbikes of a great quality and so so cheap.
Great video.👍🏻
Or maybe other brands like bigger profit margins 🤞
Great video & content
just ordered one in Dapper grey to keep my GT650 continental company in the garage.
Lovely!! I think dapper grey was my favourite 😍
Nice review. Love your enthusiastic delivery, well done!
Fantastic job Kate 👍🏍️ authough I'm too old for this......I'm sure I would be considering one if I could 🥰.... excellent video Kate well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastic vlog. Very nice bike. Gonna find more about it on YT. Big thumbs up Kate👍👍🇳🇱
you can just feel your smile through this whole video.. RE are nailing it.. :)
seems to look like it rides well and sounds pretty good. for a 350 its got some poke to it as it seems to just go.
WoW, London is just like NYC traffic. The only exception is that we drive on the opposite side of the road. But the aggressive driving conditions are the same. What a Brilliant video 😊
Perfect bike for London and city's look's like fun 👌
Great video !! Other bikes are fast, Enfields are always FUN !
Great review and ride through London!!!👍👍👍
Cheers Jose 😊
@@UsernameKate 🙏🙏🙏
Styling looks good, and great value as a commuter, would have been near perfect with a bit more power
Proudly made in india... Glad that you liked and enjoyed riding this bike...
I hope we get this bike in the US. I already have an Indian Scout Rogue but I'd like a small nimble bike to get around town and commute in the summer.
Good one unk.. Little Katie in the big city with Ruby on usa Enfields.. 😊
Nope, it's called the hunter, there is a copyright issue with the name here, so while they may use those letters on the side, it's simply a get round, but just as in America the Intercepter name can't be official used, there is no legal prevention from saying the real names 👍🏻
Hey, we just have to go off what we're told in briefing - they said in the UK it's HNTR 350 but I kept HUNTER 350 in my title as well because I appreciate that is what it is marketed as outside of the UK :)
@@UsernameKate good for you Kate 😉👍🏻
One of my favourite small bikes at NEC yesterday. Last year I looked at Meteor but heel / toe gear change put me off. Prefer this to Classic too. Slow though compared with my ADV350
East to slap custom lever on minus the heel.. I never used the heel during my test drive.. Loved the bike but maybe the hunter makes more sense.. 95% time I'll be driving around chiang Mai... Tough call. Wish I could just buy every bloody one.. 🤣
*Crap Game*
i like how Kate relates with stranger bikers. Very well
That looked enjoyable 🤣 royal enfield have certainly gone up a gear. This bike for the quality and price is outstanding tbh. Its the perfect city commuter and back lane country machine. I personally think other manufacturers are starting to be concerned as enfield are controlling a small portion of the market..
Hi Kate, the bike is good looking and good value for money quality finish and worth the money and worth he being
Loved the video and love the new HNTR
Awesome review thanks for sharing, big love from Australia 😊
Nice little bikes. Looks good in Red but so tempting to add “Mail” under the Royal logo on the tank.
I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago and love your reviews. Plus I could listen to that accent all day nobody says KOOL better than you LOL. and yes unfortunately I'm some 50 plus year old in the US. Sorry to be another subscriber from that age 🙃Keep up the good work
Haha never apologise, I am just grateful you're here! Thanks for subbing, glad you like the vlogs! :)
The new range of bikes should be another good seller for RE just like the Interceptor 👍thanks for sharing 👍👍.
Your burnout didn’t half make me smile 😆😆 brilliant video 👏🏻😎👍🏻😁
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Looks mint … low seat height for my midge height … happy days 😊🏍
Kate your so lucky riding these lovely motorcycles you have all the fun
Nice ride 'n review Kate. Bet that cures you of any city rides for awhile traffic wise.
Hope another plus is the HNTR is less likely (may be) target for theft than with higher end bikes being the target.
I wish hunter was bigger..
or I shorter.. 6"2🤧
The only reason haven't bought this bewty.
You are 👌🏻
Hi Kate. Looks like you are keeping busy with the reviews, enjoyed this one thank you. I am hopefully picking up my new HNTR today, a blue and white one, planning to go touring on it and will defo be avoiding central London. The G310r has gone.
Thanks for the review, I'm gona replace my good old 125cc and 250cc scooters with one of these (I mostly commute on the 125 because it's lighter and lower). And I really think these bikes aim at people like me, who need a bike every day all year to move them from one place to another through traffic, not a leisure toy.
Thats precisely we do in India and these bikes are designed for that only.
Exactly my profile.
You r spot on.
I will use it to bring me around in a 50km radius.
If I was in the market for a new bike, I would have a Royal Enfield. I like their pricing but especially the lack of modernity, easy to look after and service plus like you said a centre stand.
Reminds me of the previous Yamaha XSR900. Dirt cheap alright, it costs less than my exhaust!
In India, this RE hunter is selling like hot cake,as the price is very cheap but it's good for city traffic not good for cruising... But RE Meteor is best for cruising and also it looks good... even I own it...RE Meteor stellar Red
Nice to see you riding around my old stomping ground Kate(the Brick Lane Beigel shop was a sunday morn fave). Chunky looking bike too!
Well done for surviving the capital! 😅. The bike looks like an brilliant reasonably priced piece of kit. For me though, the only problem is that it's not quite enough bhp, another ten hp and it would would be perfect. 👍
Then you should go for the Voge 300 AC.
@@dertechniker8867
I already ride a BMW R9T 😎.
@@keitht3055 congratulations 🙂👍🏻
@@keitht3055 omg my dream bike phewww
The 450LC will be on the roads by next year
i love the looks of bike and your accent sound so cool.
My favorite Royal Enfield 650 🔥🔥
Its price in India (if converted ) it is half of it. Quite affordable and in the range of many other smaller and daily commuter bikes
Nice video, the gray (or grey) one is the best color imo. Keep it up.
Another great bike from Royal Enfield. I need to take a closer look at these at the bike show
Kate your crazy love the Royal Enfield what a motorcycle 🙌
What a lovely voice, greetings from 🇲🇽.
Nice bike! Great to see some of that there Londons sights too! Awesome Kate 👍
Looks good Kate
Such lovely weather.. I'm depressed af now!
I feel ya Jake... roll on spring!
That looked awesome fun!
Great review , just waiting on a test ride myself before buying one.
Fun video! It’s more of a tour of London than a bike review! Ha ha I own the meteor 350 and I’m a big fan of the engine
Very good looking bike- The two-tone is a must I love the attention to detail and the sculpture on the tank.
Reminds me of a small Ducati monster but more comfortable.
Here in America we call those “urban assault bikes”
Looking forward to our dealers getting it here in the states
Cheers

Nice video and having fun in London, everything is perfect on the hunter, except that horrible looking UK licence plates..
Been that way for years.
Nice bike! Glad you are up and running again. New Jacket?
P.s Cant wait to see the new Meteor in the flesh. Maybe buy one.
Another great vlog Kate looking forward to seeing your next one ride safe lovely 😍
Great bike, awesome video!
You GO GIRLS! How frickin fantastic!! Loved it, subscribing. How the HECK did you get the weather for it?
Haha thanks man, and you're right, we LUCKED out with the weather!!! 😁
@@UsernameKate come to Ireland for a spin!!
It appeals to me as someone who has a KTM 390 Duke as a second bike. I may well get a Hunter, instead. I need to test one out to see if there is enough low-down shove. I won't be going faster than 60 mph on it as I am in northern Thailand. I want immediate torque. A two-valve head and big flywheel maybe provides this. Having said this, my 390 is fast off the mark.
London on a sunny day: no finer place. I miss it sometimes. Lived there for 23 years.
Good looking bike. I thought that one wanker was going to lose his knee cap. You’re absolutely right about having to be the right amount of passive and aggressive at the same time in city driving. To bad they didn’t take out on the highway to see how it does.
I liked your positive characterization of the throttle response as “docile.” 😊 Creative reviewing at its finest. [ I’m picturing a customer complaining to the mechanic that the customer’s bike won’t start properly after a service, and the mechanic replying that, on the bright side, “It’s very quiet though.”]
Or a guy walking into an Indian restaurant, wondering why there is no steak on the menu? Wrong venue.
To be fair, in this day and age of factory set over-lean fuelling in order to meet emissions targets, throttles can be very snatchy - so docile is a good descriptor for compliant or tame.
@@davidstancomb5380 Reviewers commonly blame the ride-by-wire technology, which replaces the gradually adjustable throttle with what is basically an on/off switch. RE apparently attempts to address this issue with less jerky/more docile throttle, which suits the old school bikes and riders.
@@Staromil My BMW F800ST suffered from this and it isn't ride by wire - I fixed it by remapping the fuelling using a powercommander. It is the ECU making the throttle response snatchy; Digital throttles are progressive by design, but they may exacerbate the issue by being too good compared to the old analogue cables where you will always have a degree of backlash in the system.
Went to London once, best thing about it was getting out and back to Westhoughton
Rather you than me Kate, that London traffic, but I suppose it's the perfect proving ground for such a bike. Value, put into perspective, five HNTR 350's = one GS ADV/ Makes you think. Still wouldn't swap my GS though, but you know what I mean as a value representation.
I need to get one of these!
Lovely spin out with the buddies in London. Was that a blue dog? 😳 Bike sounded good. Got a good day for it.
This is the reason I bought Eicher Motor shares this year, this company is gonna shine shine shine ❤️❤️💵 It's a 'Cha-Ching' moment for me to watch this video as an investor 😉. Sid Laal truly understands his craft and the business of bikes
Love your vids❤
Thanks!!
Hi Kate the bike looks excellent rather you than me riding in London. I wonder what it is like on motorway ride keep up the great blogs take care
An excellent real world review, well done. I think my MT 03 would be even better in that environment, it’s 30 Kg lighter, has 42 bhp available, has all LED lights and an even lower seat height. Be great to see you test one of those.
But the price is 3X
@@oblivion_007 Mmm not really, the MT-03 is £5600 which makes it £1701 more
@@kevindarkstar hunter is £1700
@@oblivion_007 The UK price is £3600 ish you are quoting the price in India.
Completely different styles though. Not a genuine comparison at all
best review of hunter on internet
Wow, big claim! Thank you so much 😊
@@UsernameKate there's nothing more aesthetically pleasing than to see a video in great resolution, with great audio and putting a beautiful machine to test in its target environment. Not only the sights of the city are great, but your unhurried commentary and the fun group ride were a treat. i have watched this video often as an ASMR...(and the hunter exhaust note...damn thats music..!)
Thank you so much! 💓
@@UsernameKate I am sorry I did not mention about your gorgeous accent. Could listen to you speak all day. 😸
Royal Enfield is an emotion in india..That old glory it had during world war...Its written as Hunter in here...idk why its HNTR in the UK
That looks a lovely commute bike. The last time I commuted in London I road an FZ600N and every day was a near death experience!! But, now I'm in Wales I'm looking for something a bit 'more'! How does it compare to the Himalayan?
It's wild in London for sure!!!
This is a commuter everyday bike
If I was in the market for a RE this would be the bike with it's value for money. However I bought a CB500F with 1000km; the same weight, price, just as easy to ride and with more usable power. Still, I put 37000 km on a 20HP bike recently and it was just fine.
Hey ..That Ruroc helmet look so DOPE ,
PLEASE...... PLEASE.....
DO a review video 🤞🙏
They look really great bikes Kate, how many gears do they have? 👍👍👍❤️❤️
5 speed gear box :)
Thanks mam ,you make me proud to own this
The RE 350 can't be called the "Hunter" in the UK because the name has already been registered by another manufacturer. So RE simply leave out a few letters and we get HNTR instead! Lovely assessment of the RE HNTR by Kate.
Honda CB350 is better than Hunter and best bike available in this segment. But unfortunately Honda is not interested in exporting it to other countries except Japan.
Love from India🇮🇳
Fab review. Love that sound. Him-AAH-lay-en it is. Not Hi-muh-LAY-en. 👍🏻
Well that is all about the fun.
Lovely bike
That guy clicking pictures, where can I see them? Must be a bunch of cool shots.
I love that bike. I have a Grom and a tw200 but I need this bike. American
Thanks for the great review, Katae! Two questions: does it have a trip meter - or even two? And do you think you could tour on it? Cheers!
I bought a Meteor in May 2022, it had 2 EML lights, rhs fork seal leaking, new clock fitted as needle stuck at 60mph, and the straw that broke the camels back, it stuck in 2nd gear, so had to be recovered, 4 weeks riding, 2 weeks in workshop, so in conjunction with the 300 mile service it went back to dealer 4 times, when I got it back the last time I sold it with 1400 miles although only 80 showed on the new clock, 🙃 I won't go down the R/E route ever again, I was kicked off 2 forums for reporting this experience, some owners are just not subjective, they are cheap for a reason. I replaced it with a CB500FA-N, yes £1.8k more expensive but it hasn't and won't miss a beat and will be easily re-saleable whereas the meteor even tho only 3 months old was difficult to shift, lost £1.1k, I will only lose that on the 500F after 3 years, not 3 months, I love the look of the HNTR, but will not go near it, I now have a Hornet 750 on order to replace my MT03 as well, having owned 96 bikes, I'm going back to bigger bikes as have ridden A2 for nearly 5 years, and feel I want a bit more power. 👍 Nice review tho, even if I won't go near, a lot of people seem very pleased with their Meteor/Classics, so HNTR might get some pleased owners 🙂
You clearly got a complete lemon which you should have had replaced. I have owned mine since January and have done over 3000 miles and have had no problems with the bike which is from what I have seen is a more normal experience. I just hope your dealership treated you right.
@@johnludmon510 yep a right lemon, no the dealer was useless, and threatened me with legal action if I did not remove my posts, so am not prepared to name them, I asked the importer for a refund under sale of goods act & was told it was fair wear & tear, warranty covering them. like the above comment, will NEVER revisit R/E again, sticking with Japs, of which I've owned 54 brand new, only ever had one go wrong, a broken water pump, even the second hand ones only one ever gone wrong, timing chain broke, but it did have 66k (winter hack) on the clock and can only presume it was never changed when it was supposed to, I will spend my money where I'm fairly sure I won't have any problems, I do about 25k miles a year and want reliable bikes (have 4 at the moment, all Jap)
Have to say in balance to your experience. I think you were just unlucky, because so many of us have great experience with our RE bikes. My Interceptor was a great bike and I sold it as I was my second bike. My work bike is 2019 cb500x. Great bike for that, but souless machine. Taken me long time to gel with it. Ride safe.
@@grays5112 I understand your frustration I will never own an Aprilia again due to bike ,dealership and spare parts problems. I haven’t had as many bikes as you but I think you got very unlucky with yours but I am very happy with mine I know it doesn’t have Honda build quality but for what I paid there isn’t much wrong with it in my opinion.
@@jimmyjam8795 yeah, me and my friend both bought R/E within 2 weeks of each other, him a 350 classic, which has been trouble free, and I was out with him last week, he's done 3.2k miles now, he did get an EML light, but cancelled it himself as per a forum post, he loves it.
