      I myself own a 2008 clean es 350 and I always recommend lexus to everyone I know. For the price and compared to any other luxury company no one beats lexus. I will never own another car besides lexus again. If my lexus didn't drive so nice and smooth I would buy a newer model but I still get compliments on mine and how clean it is. Such an all around well made car.

    thank you for being an auto journalist who recognizes what the Lexus ES was designed to be and do. Most other journalists are only interested in the 0-60 and the sportiness of a vehicle. SO THANK YOU for not only being interested in the sportiness and recognizing the character of this car.

    Anyway, I love my 2017 Mazda3 MT but the NVH is so bad when we were in Autobahn. No issues with it, ultra reliable but the cabin noise got me thinking to trade to ES300h or 3 series touring, probably next year if all is well. I’m leaning a bit to Lexus due to BMW’s famous plastic internals which can be a disaster if you’re not proactive in maintenance.

    Kevin great review. Turns out i sold my 2013 ES350 which only had 42k miles and just bought a 2002 Lexus ES300 black on black base model. The interior is flawless, I don’t think anybody ever sat in the backseat possibly even the passenger seat. It’s missing the adaptive sport suspension and electronic rear shade options. I would’ve liked the sports suspension option because the ride is definitely a little on the mushy side. But the build quality is amazing it’s still feels solid everything still works even at 160,000 miles.
    It’s got two sets of tires, the front are almost new 2 years old based on the sidewall code ultra high-performance all season Sumitomo and the rears are Pirelli’s P4 standard all season which are 4 years old but have about 50 % tread remaining. These would not be the tires that I would choose but certainly not gonna go out and change them now.

    By chance can you give me the serial number of the color of the Lexus that appears in the video or the name of the color. That color is very beautiful. From the Lexus that comes out before playing the video. It's like a blue with purple pearls.

  • @Jackson_Hts_Mr_Randy_Watson

    I've had a 2004 LS 430 for almost 8 years now. The build quality on this vehicle impresses me every single time I drive it. There are no leaks of any kind. Everything works. The only repair I've had during my ownership is a fuel pump. Everything else I've done is maintenance only.
    That said I'm considering getting a "newer" LS, probably jumping over the LS 460 altogether and going straight into the LS500. Over the last several months I've been reading and watching videos about the ES line too. In particular the ES300h and it seems to a tremendous value, especially when compared to the LS500. I have yet to test drive either one yet, but at this time the ES seems to make more sense all around.

    I’ve had the car 2 weeks. Hate the touch pad. The center console is too bulky. I would rather have 2 cup holders together and that whole section streamlined more. My Honda was better at half the price. The drive of it though is excellent so that’s more important. Still no clue what the flat remote key thing is for. Trying to watch videos when I have time to figure it out. Also wish the screens wouldn’t keep changing on their own. Hate that the lights don’t go on with remote start especially at night and that it shuts off when you open the door

    Waiting for NX to drop and see your review on it, my family has an NX and I now own it (I suppose because my parents are back in China and I'm by myself in Australia), recently bought and installed a third party screen from China that was designed specifically for Lexus NX (which has a touchscreen and an emulated new Lexus infotainment ran by android, and can access Carplay!), because of the damn old infotainment, while Lexus service place said my NX was too old to get those upgrade. I know Lexus is definitely going to bring a touchscreen on the NX and I'm excited to see how it will look like.

    • @tonysterbenc
      @tonysterbenc 8 місяців тому

      The rear seat sits one inch higher to make room for the battery, improving thigh support but reducing headroom. Also, the 300h does not offer the option of the panoramic sunroof, although Lexus designed that feature so there's almost no headroom difference anyway. No other dimensional differences between the two.
