Great review Mike! One of my pet peeves on a car at this price point is the lack of finishing of the trunk "ceiling." I have an IS and it is finished. I think the color is great. I don't have HUD and I'm sure when I get a car with that option, I won't be able to live without it. lol 😎 Happy Holidays to you and your family. Thanks for all that you do.
I forgot to mention that in my other comment above. What a hilariously fun, effective pointer😄! I love it. When you made it push a button or activate something I LOLed.
Nice! excellent way to present the car. Thanks! from Norway. I may buy a 2020 Lexus ES 300h Excecutive, but I'm not sure. It's the pad and I know I need to use it for the map.... does'nt look good,
I don't think rear speaker issue is going to be a problem for 99% of Lexus ES buyers. You've got the gangster seat adjustment haha. Low and leaned wayyyy back. I guess if that's the only way you're comfortable in the ES, that's pretty unfortunate. It's great information for people who are 6 ft. or taller. Thanks for the review and braving the gusty winds.
The speaker location in the rear door doesn't usually sit by your ear for most driving positions. For reference, I’m 6’ tall with a 32” inseam. Sound perception is somewhat subjectively varied, but most people likely won't have a need to adjust the sound the way you did. Ps. Much of the equipment pertaining to the radar adaptive cruise control is located in the unit mounted to the windshield -and not the grill sensor.
We have the 2021 model, same color and wheels as this one but just the luxury trim. Fuel economy is fantastic and lots of torque off the line. I just dont like how it sounds so buzzy on hard acceleration.
What does it mean Barbie House? I’m a guy and I want my car to be like a nice cigar room - leather/wood so now after reading Barbie House I wonder if it’s for me
There is a setting in the climate settings that actually turns the rear vents off. Need to go to climate> options> then theres a little icon thats got 3 arrows pointing at 3 people . Needs to be off and then you will have air in the rear vents. Hope this helps.
Got mine in April, 2023 ES300h as follows. It's the Ultra Luxury trim, which is what we wanted and is the highest trim for the ES hybrid. It is the Cloudburst Gray exterior with Acorn color semi-aniline leather interior. Total Installed Packages & Accessories: 1) Premium Triple-beam LED headlamps; 2) Smartacess Card Key; 3) Premium Paint; 4) Lexus Interface with 12.3-in Multimedia Touchscreen Display; 5) Ultra Luxury Package; 6) All weather floor liners and trunk mat; 7) Door edge film by 3M; 8) The Preferred Accessory Package; and 9) The Dealer added a 5-year windshield protection/replacement coverage package and tinted the driver and passenger windows. More: The three-projector headlamp design creates an eye-catching L shape. Adding to this brilliant design, the headlamps feature LED side turn signals, as well as an Adaptive Front Lighting System6 that uses steering and speed sensors to direct the angle of low-beam illumination as the vehicle enters a curve. The Adaptive Front Lighting System monitors steering and speed with a suite of sensors and will automatically adjust the angle of your low-beam headlights to improve visibility on curved roads. Ultra Luxury extras: 1) 18-inch split-five-spoke alloy noise-reduction wheels 2) Power rear sunshade with manual rear-door sunshades 3) Power open/close trunk with kick sensor 4) 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen display 10.2-inch Head-Up Display 5) Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking and Rear Pedestrian Detection, and Panoramic View Monitor. Averaging 43+ MPG City/Hwy driving and I had the oil and filter changed at 1,000 miles for my own peace of mind. Just For Reference: I was not going to wait one-year or 10,000 miles to have the factory installed oil & filter changed. And, I shall be changing the Oil (Liqui Moly 0W-16 Spec V) and Toyota filter every 5,000 miles from now on. Like Scotty Kilmer says, oil & filters are cheap, engines are expensive. LOL 😎
Congrats on your new Lexus! I’m also looking at this model and I wanted to know your opinion on the headlight upgrade? Was it worth it in your opinion?
17:00 The rear door speaker _could,_ perhaps, have been repositioned a bit further back on the upper, rear door panel. But son....virtually _nobody_ drives with the driver's seat reclined almost to a bed-like position!
I love the ES300h so much, but the interior design is very disappointing compared to the futuristic exterior. It looks old and cheap. To me, it's almost like a premium version of a Camry, and in some ways, actually the 2022 Camry's interior looks better. While a car's interior design isn't the only important factor, considering the current price tag and what other automakers offer in a similar price range, it's hard for me to call it a premium luxury sedan. If it weren't for the video title, I would have thought it was a model from 2010. I just hope that Toyota puts more effort into catching current trends, rather than just focusing on cost reduction.
I agree. It's functionally luxurious rather than tech n style luxurious. N yes I've always thought that when optioned right, a camry looks better than the es - interior wise. The genesis has the interior that lexus should have for a trim called ultra luxury n for the price
Are you sure you know what a mic boom is? It is a stick that allows for a person (boom operator) to stand outside the camera view and hold the microphone close enough to an actor to pick up their dialog. I have a boom but it would not work very well in this video. What I think you are referring to is a wind filter or "muff" that helps with wind noise. I am using two of them over my microphone in this video. A Rode and a Rycote. They were able to keep the 40mph wind gusts I was experiencing from drowning out my voice.
4 years into my ownership, and looks are subjective, but rattles…NOPE! quiet and a amazing ride. BTW mostly a around town driving and with V6 ave 24.6 mpg.
The interior doesn't look good but these cars are quiet and smooth to drive. Although what you buy one of these for is to have more chance of trouble free miles
What joy to have your great car reviews. You cover many cars I can actually afford. Thank you Mike and Happy Holidays!
WOW!
Thank you very much Edd.. I am speechless!
Damn Ed make us look bad 😂
Your complaint about the rear door speaker can be remedied by sitting up straight....has your grandma never told you that!! LOL
You can tell he’s not pointing with his own fingers 😂
For a car review to be so complete as to even give suggestions on adjusting the car stereo settings...I'm completely blown away! Great job!
My dream Lexus sedan! Nice review Mike.
Excellent review with a great deal of detail that many other reviews just gloss over.
Great video! Your camera did a good job filtering out most of the wind noise.

A great review. One of the best ones I've seen so far. Nice car.
Nice attention to details!
From the first 5 minutes I could tell that this is not an ad. This is a propper review.
I’m diggin the yellow handed pointer 😂😂😂😂
I forgot to mention that in my other comment above.

The ES is beautiful.👍
Love the business cards @33:30 lol

How does this vehicle compare to the Lexus ES 350 (not the sport version)?

Radar sensor is in the grill. The cameras in the windshield are for the lane sensing features.

I just bought this car on Monday 😃, I am in love with it 😍. I feel like I am sitting in nice Barbie house 😍
What does it mean Barbie House? I’m a guy and I want my car to be like a nice cigar room - leather/wood so now after reading Barbie House I wonder if it’s for me
Y is your chair leaned back so much. Are you comfortable driving like that
Yes
nice review pointy finger nice touch
Umm i decided buy new lexuses es 300h but Toyota cemery was same plz suggest sir 😅
nice review~
Thank you mike
If the speaker is blasting near your ear, you are either sitting in an inappropriate position or you have the volume on to loud 😂
It figures that the only seat position that is comfortable for me is "inappropriate" :)
If you really want to test out the magic carpet factor of car suspension, find some crumby residential roads
Panorramic sunroof??
Plz explain the climate option, the rear vent doesn’t work….thx

@@411sponge72 No doubt about it. It is worth every penny. LOL
That terrible infotainment screen / trackpad thing is a deal breaker for the whole car. Too bad, it is a really nice car otherwise.
That track pad is gone in the latest version (2023), at least in Europe.
Not for me.. i just basically use bt for music and carplay for navigating so this works just fine

No remote start bruh??
it does have remote start actually by holding down your lock button on your fey fob or through an app on your cell phone

need a small windmill to stick to the car and charge the hybrid battery lol
I think ES should switch to a RWD platform.
That was the GS, they stopped producing because lack of sales.

Anything wrong with the review? You know something that we dont know?
Pls share with all of us better than saying something in unser-educated words!
Mike, I call a Lexus...
Nothing more than a...
👉Luxurious Toyota👈
Not true. @danielexander9921, there are a lot of brands that share parts and components.
That’s a good thing, much more reliable than a luxurious chevy or VW
Overpriced Toyota or not?
Sure, and a BMW is a luxurious Mini, an Audi is a luxurious Volkswagen, A mercedes is a luxurious Renault etc etc.
Cheap looking interior like every Toyota….rattle can
rattle can? Mike just said it has the best suspension
I know, right? It looks so cheap and old. I can't believe it's a 2022 model.
I can tell you've never driven this car or many cars at all with such a comment lmao.

Cool car indeed
Great review. Brilliant idea with the little yellow hand. 👈👉🫡
VERY BAD QUALITY OF VIDEO NOT WORTH TO WATCH, COMMENTARY IS NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL TOO MUCH DISTURBANCE OF WIND WHICH HE DOESN'T CARE.
