    The ES is one of the most underrated cars. Certainly not a “glam” model or oozing with the latest tech. In fact boring by most automotive enthusiasts’ standards, but super comfortable, cheap to own and will last forever (like most Lexus/Toyota).

    Great review, thanks. It was very informative as I'm trying to compare it to this F Sport version. Since both have the same engine, it's tough to decide in favor of the F Sport simply for handling package

    • @tonysterbenc
      @tonysterbenc 11 місяців тому +1

      You now can get the F Sport with the looks alone or with the handling suspension. Opinons are sharply dividied on whether the suspension's better handling is worth the ride penalty, since it's not a sports car anyway and even the variable suspension's softest setting rides worse than the base car. Try before you buy.

    Love the interior, although it has some cheap spots. Notably, the area around the seat heaters and coolers looks like an afterthought that interrupts the flow of the rest of the interior. I would be interested in knowing what commonly-used functions one needs the touchpad for. From the video, and my test-drive in an ES350, most radio and climate functions can be handled via either dash controls, steering wheel controls, or both. I would guess the navigation system would need the pad, but what other functions? Anyone know?

    One thing grand about the Lexus models (except for the IS) is the Enform Dynamic Navigation system, where the maps are off the air; you don't need to go once a year for map updates, paying around $200 each time. But they do get you, though: after 3 years, you have to pay $170 for two years to maintain the "dynamic" part of the navigation!
    It is June 2021. There is NO WAY I'm buying the ES350 right now, not till the 2022 model comes. The much-maligned touchpad will continue but the screen will become a touchscreen, and moved forwards towards the driver. So the driver can use the touchpad...or not! :) I plan to test drive the HYBRID version, and ALSO the brand new Hybrid NX 350h for 2022, redesigned from the ground up.

Then my friend in Manhattan on the upper East Side she said they are glorified Toyotas definitely stay with the Mercedes S class AMG 2022 convertible cabriolet Father told me today maybe you should get a loaded Boxster ? Porsche Boxster I informed him that I am 6’3” tall and they are too small He said you can’t go wrong with a Porsche or maybe just go ahead and get the Lotus When he said that I said yes that is the one That’s probably the best one of them all it’s gonna be very reliable and I will be very happy with that. I Didn’t want to ask him to pay for the lotus because we buy our vehicles out right we do not finance anything and that way you’ve got the title in your hand when you leave the dealership so I said yes that’s the one so I decided to get the 2022 Lotus because he offered. sorry i work on them they come by every day. mid size luxury sedan without awd as an option and only fwd to boot. doesnt handle well nor does it ride like a caddy. everything you cant see easily is a camry. doesnt even compete with any of the German rivals. all the ES's features over the camry is just standard lexus features. but hey if you want to pay 50% more for a camry go right ahead. not like the parts are any cheaper.

      @@allenlin6169 You are comparing this to a completely different segment in the car market! This car wasn't designed for performance like a German Car. The people who buy this car want QUALITY, COMFORT, RELIABILITY, GOOD RESALE, and cheaper service/repair costs! Frankly none of those qualities except for possibly comfort in some models are shared by a Merc, Audi or BMW. Its obvious you have no clue what you are talking about. The Camry and this car couldn't be more different. The model above the Camry would be the Avalon and the Model above an Avalon would be an ES350. In Fact the ES is a bigger car than the Camry and they don't share the same Chassis. If you look at all of the features the Ultra Luxury trim has you won't find a German model for the same amount of money. I'm SURE you have never even driven this car before let alone looked inside one! The quality and comforts of the ES are in a different league than a Camry! BTW the reviewer didn't even show all of the features and options on this car! Why do you think the German cars have so many Certified cars for sale that are 4 years old? It's not just because of leases, people know how expensive these are to repair and service and with the reliability and with the substandard reliability they dump these after the 4 year warranty is over.

    way too much cheap plastics for the price. Infotainment would be good five years ago but should be touch like all the german comps.

      What’s wrong with fwd and Camry platform?

    • @MrGames4Arab
      @MrGames4Arab 2 роки тому

      @@ShiftingLanes Becuase it is unacceptable to pay more than 50K$ and get a AWD which less stable and preforme wrose than RWD and AWD (Real ones) + Plus all camry platforms (especially 13-17) have really bad stability issues and the car easily loses control compared to its competetors. Don't forget that it is sharing the same platform as car half its price.
      Lexus, Cadillac, Genesis, and lincon are not truly lexury they are only good at adding cheap technology to their cars to sell at a crazy high price

      @@MrGames4Arab The 2019 ES and Avalon, along with the 2018 Camry, started over with a completely new platform. They're still FWD, but they handle much better than the old ones. Unacceptable? That's a matter of opinion. Remember the Germans and Genesis with AWD and a V6 also cost over $10,000 more and aren't as reliable. It's all a matter of what you value.

      What does AWD have to do with luxury? Is the car comfortable, quiet, reliable? Great! People are too spoiled today, "if it doesn't have a turboed 5L V8 with AWD, 0-60 in 2 seconds, I don't want it!" Go buy something else then.

      @@SDF5150 I'm biased by the fact I'm coming out of an Acura RL. I felt its AWD system provided added security and peace of mind because it maintained traction amazingly even in crappy conditions or if I made an idiotic driving mistake. FWD simply can't match that, and I felt it added to the luxury experience.
