Im 26 years old.. Ive watched this channel for a year. I am trying to gear my life towards one day being able to own one of these shelters. It feels like a pipe dream right now but i pray to God ill be able to afford one before the bombs fall. Your a great salesman Ron. Thanks for doing your part to save lives.

Ron, after watching all your videos, especially seeing the manufacturing process, I have a few thoughts/suggestions:
You are using sand-blasting to prepare the metal surfaces for painting. Have you considered changing to a metallic bead blasting system? The company that I worked for had used sand blasting for several years until studies showed the health hazards on silicon dust. We converted to metallic bead blasting, where the blasting debris was collected and sent through a magnetic recovery system. The metallic beads were then available for reuse and the rust went to collection barrels. No health hazards after that. (Yeh it was sort of a OSHA get off our back response).
As far as painting, have you considered an electrostatic paint process? That places an electrical charge on the metal and the plastic based paint is attracted to the surface in a very controlled layer. After that, the metal is heated to melt the plastic based paint. Another item to get OSHA off our backs as standard painting processes are atmospheric contaminants and hazard to the painters.
I saw in your videos that you are using fork-lifts for moving the sub-assemblies and loading the final units on the trucks. Have you considered remodeling your facility to add overhead cranes? A bit safer than fork-lifts.
One last matter, you tout the NBC filtration system available in your bomb shelters. From your descriptions, these are only carbon filters. They will only filter particulate matter (no description on your videos on the micro filtration size). They will not filter out fission gases that will later decay to particulate nuclides. Also, since the filter is inside the shelter, any fission particulate nuclides will continue to emit radiation inside the shelter. The filter needs to be placed in shielded location. I speak from experience from my 20 year career in the Navy as a Nuclear Engineer on submarines.

These are toy shelters though
I used to live in San Diego I moved in 1997. Wasn't as bad than I can't imagine it now
As a plumber I can appreciate the craftsmanship. Awesome work
Brother if I ever get the money I’m going to get one of these loaded. I love your vids. Thanks for sharing.
No doubt, if I ever build another house this will be my basement.
YES SIR I DO AGREE WITH U ON THIS MY SELF ...
@@CheekyMonkey1776 good 120k basement lol
Sceond'd. Some of these shelters look more comfortable than some houses I've seen for sale. Growing up watching too many cartoons where the villain (or hero) has an underground hideout made me want to live underground instead of on the surface long before I found out about bomb shelters. This just cements my desire to have one.
Sadly I have like, no credit score, no personal property in terms of land for putting one in, and a "meh" paying job. I'd get one if it was realistic funds-wise for me to afford one. But it's not.
Cheeky Monkees you don’t even need a house really, I mean these are meant to fully support you so you can just live in it full time
Check valves you use are called Spring checks, it takes about seven feet of head to push past the spring. They will not let water, or diesel out unless it has around seven feet of head. What you need to do is to weld a steel U Bend and install a swing check. Also those spring checks have a steel spring in it which will Rust Out in about 5 years. The swing checks have no spring and they're all brass they last 10 times longer. The spring checks when they fail will not only allow water in it'll also allow insects in animals in. If you install a u-bend I recommend filling those with non-toxic antifreeze, or mineral oil they will act like a trap and if the swing check fails you will have a liquid trap to prevent animals and insects from getting in.
The best way to get out of California is U-HAUL, right now . . . while supplies last, beat the rush.
It cost more to leave Ca using U-Haul than it does to move in, and this is from the same location
Yeah, it costs more to stay in CA than to move out, so apply those savings, money and freedom savings.
I was surprised to find out that a U haul costs like 5x more if you leave CA vs drive back. So many are leaving they have to hire people to drive the trucks back LOL
I wouldn't leave Cali if you paid me 1 million dollars. I love Cali.
@@ronin7645 a glutton for punishment I see . . .
I’m looking forward to buying a Round Culvert with the Generator pod in the coming years. I’m glad I’m getting into prepping while I’m young, so that I can better prepare for my family. - Thanks for all the videos Ron, much appreciated!
You're personality is very contagious and the sincerity you put into your product is well worth the price tags here. There's no price tag on life in my book. This would be the 1st thing I'd have built on my property before building the home...lol. One can always buggout to the spot. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get in a position to do it. God bless and stay safe.
Saving my money up to come see you, Ron. I'm beyond impressed with your design and the thought that went into these designs. Can't wait to get ours!
Great video. I really don't think people really realize all the thought that goes into every little detail and sourcing the right components to build some thing properly.
That blast valve when you were explaining that it's 30psi rated, and I often wonder if people understand the kind of power that's in 30psi because we see that kind of pressure daily and think nothing of it. To put it into perspective, an EF-5 tornado with a 300mph wind, has a psi rating of around 2.8psi over pressure or about ONE TENTH of what that blast valve it rated for.
Still though, 2.8psi equals almost 400 pounds of force per square foot being pushed against a home and on an 8 foot by 40 foot wall, that's over 129,000 pounds of force being applied against the wall of a home and you see what happens to homes when that type of force is applied to them....now think nuclear over pressure, and do you really want a bunker with a hatch lid that looks more like a trampoline you can bounce on, that we've seen made by other companies?
I mean if a bomb goes off with a 20psi over pressure and you have a hatch that's 24 inches by 36 inches, that's 17,280 pounds of force that's going to be applied to that bunkers hatch and if you can bounce on it now with a 200 pound man, imagine when REAL force is applied to it. If your hatch can not survive that type of over pressure, you certainly can not survive that type of event.
The numbers do not lie, and while some may call math racist these days, in this case the numbers should be called DEADLY.
People need to appreciate and understand the need for doing things right and the cost involved. Keep up the great work.
I believe this comment is overrated thanks for taking the time.
*underrated
Wouldn't it be worth making a custom tank that could fit the shape of the bunker so you can store much more fuel? It does seem like there's a lot of wasted space there plus with more fuel you've got longer operation of the bunker.
@Sarah America Water bladders will form fit but remember, if you put one in, the water has to be drained, bladder cleaned ever so many years. Even with the reverse osmosis system, water stored too long is going to turn nasty. Would be more expensive but installing a large bladder or tank (form fitted of course) with the ability to FLUSH the water out, then refill it from an outside source (like RV's), that would be a plus. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to add that during installation.
The more areas you add the more weak spots possibly?
Because it is cheaper to do it this way. They also want to be able to make a system that can use different types of generators, IE propane generators.
Diesel tanks have their own problems also. The fuel stores water from the atmosphere and causes microbes to grow in the tank. A smaller tank like this can be fixed and monitored for repair/ upkeep. With a setup like this you can repair your own things and have the room to do so.
TheTyrial86 not propane that is dangerous diesel is best because it doesn’t ignite as easy if a problem should occur .... also also as for the original comment here you want to walk a fine line with weight distribution with the size of the tank for fuel god forbid a leak should occur you wouldn’t want to be down there with thousands of litres of fuel seeping into the rest of the bunker
TheTyrial86 No, don’t use propane, unless you want your bunker to be a coffin.
Thank you for uploading this video. it solved many of my questions/mysteries. its been just a few months since i found your channel and i learned so much
Your great character shows a lot in your videos and for that I tip my hat to you sir. Much respect.
Can you do a video on how the sewage system works in your bunkers
Yeah
They compost the solids and then mix with hamburger helper.
@@crowflight3988 😂 that's nasty
Awesome video Ron. For those who may not be able to afford a fully built unit I'll bet they will opt to buy your doors, end plates and components to do a build. In any case you are a class act to share this info!
Always look forward to your videos Ron! You are a true American Patriot!
If I am ever able to afford a bunker I will get an Atlas Shelter bunker! Your videos are so informative!
Looks great and well built thank you for the video Ron.
Maybe a good idea is to buy one of those Carbon Monoxide alarm and LEL Gas detector alarm for the living area. Motorhomes have these in them since they use propane furnaces. It could check for Carbon monoxide and any possible gas/fuel leak.
Can't wait for the bike vid!!! Great video Ron!!!
As always ... a great video. But to your question about the best way to bug out of any city in California is to never be in California in the first place.
Awesome, you are so quality driven.
Some of Atlas Survival bunkers floor plans are badass indeed!
If I ever win the lottery plan on a 8k sq ft bunkers. Outstanding work n it speaks for itself. I've watched you grow over the years, dreaming of my very own.
Like your expression of life in this video.
You could make your fuel last little longer by adding a heat exchanger to exhaust pipe of the generator for hot water, and wait till the generator running before taking a shower or even heating the shelter. Plus removing heat from exhaust reduces thermal signature.
Good job Ron. You've really improved the product over time. I see you've received your 100k subscriber plaque, congrats! On the air system, you have an excellent top of the line system. Have you given any thought to installing a simple HVAC filer box for regular use? The hose already has a split connection for the NBC filer. Take a standard filter box with end connections to connect the hoses. This would be good for filtering out small bugs, dust and pollen. It would also probably all you need to filter out volcanic dust in event of a super caldera eruption. It could be easily removable if the NBC filter becomes necessary. Just a thought!
I've had that Onan QuietDiesel model on a fefw diesel RV's over the years and they are bulletproof as long as you change the oil regularly heck even if you aren't regular they still are tough! as well as very quiet for a generator! They are usually mounted in the very front of a diesel pusher motorcoach and that is the actual front that is facing you in the bunker room. Best you can get!
Gotta be honest Mr. Ron I think that's the difference in you and "most" of your competitor's, "people over profit", vs "profit over EVERYTHING". GOD Bless You and Yours Mr. RON.🇺🇸
love your videos I'm driving to Alaska right now.
Ron YOU KNOW HOW TO BUILD THESE SHELTERS WELL I THINK EVERY HOME SHOULD HAVE ONE AND SO SHOULD EVERY SCHOOL AROUND THE COUNTRY
That 2 wheel drive motorcycle is awesome. You can go anywhere with it.
Stevmstng 516 They are impressive but hella dangerouse. They don’t call those mototractors leg breakers for nothing.
As someone who lives in Los Angeles, I’m curious about your perspective. Motorcycles are a big win! 🤙
Motorcycle with a pull behind trailer would be a big win. Roads will clog up, and you will needs to go 2 wheel or 2 footed at that point.
ua-cam.com/video/fB6LzXkCUqY/v-deo.html
Another good video.
Yup same here love your videos and if I ever get enough money I’ll be calling you. I seen your video on that SOB of a competitor to your industry. What a jack *** he is.
Keep the video coming 🙏🏻❤️
Shouldn't the Generator Room be an off-shoot of the Main Housing? The way I'm seeing this is if someone did break in they could take out the Generator and leave you to die. I know the Air System has a manual crank, but what about lighting? or a hot meal? I know it sounds silly but people could be demoralized quickly or go insane, in darkness and a hot meal always makes you feel better.
Any chance of a video on the concrete dome shelters?
Top shelf stand-up gentleman.
So Wise , Thank you .
Love and respect your attitude for quality and how you present your product and ideas. Will be contacting you soon when I get a more tangible concept about what I will need. But, I must say (with all respect), I find it difficult to watch you without my thoughts wandering to Red Green episodes I have seen! Please keep posting the great vids and looking forward to talking with you.
I Absolutely agree with you Brother.
ROKON will be my first pick , its a beast
great job
Thank you for what you do. Hopefully you open a business up in New Hampshire Maine Vermont area. Hoping to buy one of your shelters. So that I can put my firearms in something for my antiques out of sight out of mind. Along with its intended function love that you guys are american-made keep it up!!!!!!!
Craig Tremblay shipping is not that bad, he sends them all over the world.
I'd totally style this like the Fallout game!
GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU!
Dumb question but do all these fancy water and air systems come with any replacement parts or are they easily available to have on hand? My biggest worry is something simple breaking on one of these high dollar machines and a 10 dollar part not shutting down these essential systems.
I remember an old Volvo commercial I think it said something when it comes to safety some secrets are meant to be shared
David Horne I like the vids , I like you , I like capitalism, I like to survive , I understand it’s a living , keeping ideas secret over competition to a point is just as domestic enemy as the enemy itself not just in numerical sense , but moral sense , religious sense , sovereignty sense , founding father sense and the values that go with , I can assure you good sir that there is enough citizenry , customers with means to keep you afloat quite well even if ALL your “proprietary” AKA military survival research mechanisms come to light publicly , it’s good stuff , but we must try to keep as many alive Earthy’ speaking as possible , even at the risk of a “paranoid” overspend by anyone who considers the chance that idiocracy brings on the worst here at home - give up the goods , don’t worry ppl will still purchase the arguably priced products because we know there are not a supply shortage of folks willing to pay
this is awesome man I like
You build a nice bunker, it appears to be very well engineered. I wish more of your videos showed your successes instead of whining about Rising S.
That's big turn off but, I kinda understand his frustration...
I was impressed with rising S website until I came across Atlas and the truth
Nice. You've thought of everything.
I would love to see a video of the concrete dome shelters
Ron is my kind of crazy.
At least you're able to identify that having a picture of Jesus on your wall with a sticker that says "PRO GUN" is crazy.
I am pro gun. I'm just saying those two things are mutually exclusive. You cannot reconcile them without being a lunatic.
Wrong.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-15
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing
@@AndyAdventuring - You must not read your Bible. Rev 19:13 Jesus is soaked in the blood of his enemies. He made a scourge out of rope and thrashed those that sold in the temple and threw them out. He also said "I did not come to bring peace but a sword". Sure He wants peace, we all do but God hates evil more than we do. We have to keep the peace. We must defend our lands.
Ever heard of David ... David and Goliath? Samson? Read it. It's a great book. All of it true.
Thanks for posting and sharing. Nice to know hands on, how these things work instead of looking at a diagram and wondering. Great info and keep up the good work.
Love the videos just wish I could afford it...
Same here
If I was Jeffry from Missouri I wouldn't want you advertising to the world that I have 1,200 guns or that I'm purchasing a bunker...
No shit. Some people just crave attention though over practicality..
If I had the money for a shelter it would be an Atlas Shelter!!!
I just want one of these for a cabin, I'm not worried about a major war...but it be a cool cabin to get away and no one knows it's there (if you hide it good enough). So I would run electric, swearer, and water, and cable. Maybe have another long section going off for guest room and a better kitchen...LOL
Thank you.
Interesting question. After the carbon filter shelf life for filtering air is up, could the carbon still be used to make a water filter if needed?
Rising S can only dream of your craft and workmanship 😬
Though some of the Rising S bunker floorplans are badass indeed! They've even get one with a pool, bowling alley, shooting range, massive grow chamber for food production, etc.
Keeping it real. Ty
Someday when I can afford one, it’s game on.
The more you show, the more I want one, my only thing I'd do personally, is run some drain lines off the check valves and encase my bunker in reinforced concrete
omegasignas I would go a step further with the check valves. I'm a plumber and anything mechanical can fail, witch means ground water from rain can enter in a flooding situation. They can fail because check valves stay open in the vertical position and may not seal back from being open for so long. I would run it to the storage area below with the check valve in the bunker, and have a holding tank that can be emptied or pumped out, so they can be maintained and replaced if needed.
I fantasize about these bunkers! Atlas is top shelf, no joke. I've done my homework...if you go elsewhere you're wasting your money and endangering your life.🇺🇸
I wish I could have one of your bunkers.
The 2 thumbs down must be your competitors! 👍💖
I only see 1
even the competitors should be thanks to him, he is showing his own really working design for free
He makes the best shelters on the planet next to the .gov. But he would be wise to offer a stealth version that utilizes camouflaged solar panels. People can smell gas fumes from miles away. They could easily track down a shelter, plug the pipe, and wait for the inevitable.
make that 11
@@mrprepper9362 I haven't seen camouflaged solar panels. Who sells those?
A great way to hug out of those cities are to do what I did just recently. Move out now.
I wish I could.
That has to be one of the best equipped coffins on the market!
I would love to see your 6000 Sq' Military Bunker fully fitted. Have you installed any of them?
@Robert Thomas - yeah id love to see somethjng thats actually “bomb“ proof like a real bomb shelters supposed to be 🤷♂️ I wonder how they built shelters in the 50s ? me I would build mine out of cement and reinforced steel beams and re-barb lol
@@d-boyzeighteenhundred you could set this bunker in concrete use couple tons of lead dust in Crete mix ..
How long can run the andair and shelter off that battery?
If I remember correctly the andair can run something like 18 months maybe longer until filter needs to be changed , the unit is used by 50 or more military's including the U.S and will last a lifetime if maintained and kept properly I would think.
Beautiful bunker, Question: Should you have an air intake so close to the exhaust for the generator? Or is that the intake for the generator?
The air inlet for the generator room was on the left when he was showing the genny. Excess air exhaust was on the right. The _generator_ exhaust was the small pipe between the generator and the fuel tank. Air inlet for the shelter as a whole was at the opposite end of the structure.
Is there away to shut off the air in and out lines in the gen room? In case of a fire from the gen or battery?
can I get one with a thorium reactor
I want one of yours bunker !!
Nice setup but how you stop Emp knocking out generator. And how many days does a full tank get ya?
I've been watching this for a while now and one question has been hanging in the back of my head. What about a decontamination shower? I mean you can probably last perhaps one to two months in one of these bunkers but you have to go outside to get supplies like food, diesel and eventually new carbon filters.
@VACCINATE YOUR KIDS ALREADY! that is certainly one way to deal with the problem. Additionaly installing a simple shower in a dedicated area to wash of chemical and biological threats from your clothes shouldn't really be hard to do yourself and for longer-term solutions one can always add an additional sealed water tank to the bunker during construction for said shower as it does not need to be drinkable water just protected from external contaminants
Their is a decontamination shower in all of his models.
Took less than a minute to subscribe. Good shit bud, thanks
You should use bidet toilets in your bunkers. I started to use one a few years ago and I literally don’t use any toilet paper anymore. I come out clean as can be. Then you don’t have to worry about storage or waste removal of toilet paper.
My thought on this generator room, seems to me with the gen running, (air cooled no doubt), it going to get very warm in there, how warm I'm not sure, but maybe warm enough to make that gen run hot. Am I off base here? The air intake for it seemed small and if it does not have any kind of blower forcing air in, well,. I sure would want a carbon monoxide detector in there with it.
These things are for show, they are not well thought out
any update on who built the bunker that exploded???
Hi from México
I have a few ? One what is the size of that Gen. and how long does it take to use up the fuel. 100 gal doesn’t sound like a lot for any kind of n extended stay. The other ? Is there any equit. that monitors the outside conditions so you know when it’s safe to come out. Air quality, air temp etc.
Really enjoy watching your videos. Hoping to get one when I can afford it. Do you have any videos with a staged attack of someone trying to make entry?
Was wondering what the estimated run time of that big battery you had in this shelter and the air system? Not including any lights or other power draws, just wondering how much power is needed to keep the air system running.
The battery is charged by solar panels.
I am interested in how the plumbing works in one of these. How water gets in and waste gets out?
Daniel Milewski I'm a plumber so maybe I can help. There are multiple ways to do it. How I would do it is if in an area where you are able to drill a well I would have well water plumbed to the shelter. One of the reasons he shows so many plugs on the ends. You can also have a water storage tank and a pump system attached to it to pump water to the fixtures. And of course if you have municipal water you can plumb it with that, but that would be the least optimal in my opinion as you are preparing to be self reliant in case of a fallout with his shelters.
As far as the waste you would usually have a septic system in a bug out area and since the shelter is pretty deep you would most likely have to have a grinder pump system set up to pump the waste to the septic/sewer. Pretty sure in some of his videos he talks about having a pump system set up in the flooring storage.
Generator Pod: Check valves good idea... Notice one under construction did not appear to have any isolaters under the steel framing. How do you keep the vibration from transmitting through the living area. Body bushings?
Sound... is it possable to insulate the rooms?
just curious Ron, How do you fill the fuel tank? Do you have to hump cans down the stairs or can a remote pipe be piped to the surface to fill the tank. How long will the tank of fuel you had in that bunker last and do you ever have customers add external fuel storage tanks underground piped back to the bumker for long term undergroung?
Good Video BTW... Very Informative
i just noticed the over pressure blast valve is next to the toilet ( fart room ) good thinking .
Where can we get that battery tower?
Love the idea you care more about lives than money 👍 But you need to get yourself in better shape 💪 sound a tad bit winded there
Hi guys what tip of stove do use in the bunker? Heep up the great work. Julie
Almost all references have been to microwave, or a simple hot plate.
I suspect that air quality is compromised by even so much as a George Foreman Grill.
The heck with calling it a Bunker ... I'm checking the local Building codes to see if I can live in one of these. The only thing I need above ground is my Garage ..
What's the final price for this one??
Are the sections welded together or is it joined with a collar?
the dome homes you guys have listed on your site are the ones from monolithic.org more or less more than less my question is, will you install and buy them not just install them? im looking to qualify for a home loan with ssdi and some family help but i want my home to be a bunker basically so 24/7 in a pipe is kinda crazy but a dome home is normal size qualifys for most things cheaper to make im just having issues getting it underground and of course the septic and air supply would be that of a bunker 1 way saftys and such do you offer that ? or just the dome home itself. im curious
thanks in advance i hope you reply .
If my shelter is being built, do I get to visit my shelter during the process or do I have to wait until you deliver the final project is complete. How involved am I the building process?
and the vent has a light with cable built in. just open the little red cover. Atlas Survival Shelter never mentioned that cool feature..
First time I have ever heard of a generator pod? Does the fuems go out a tube?
How will the diesel fuel tank be filled initially, or refilled, and what of leak/spillage containment (inc. to check on what local regulations say about below-ground tanks) [13:25 showed a drain port under the pod, I wonder how EPA compliant that is]
