That worm hack, I've been doing that for over 30+ years. I never thought about it being a hack

  • @Vagabond1975

another take on the worm hack is to get a small coffee/peanut can with 2 plastic lids, cut the bottom of the can out so you'll be able to access the can from either end by removing either lid depending on which side has been down for longer. My grandfather always used a small coffee can for this trick while fishing.

Also leave just a tad bit of coffee in there and it helps keep the worms fresh and gives them some food

A worm hack: get a syringe and needle, leave some of the worms tail hanging free, take needle and put some air in its tail. His tail will float up and move freely to attract fish. I’ve used this truck for years. Never fails. Also if your River fishing dig up worms on the bank where your at, fish are used to them and will bite them faster than other worms you bring with you

    • @chrissewell1608
      @chrissewell1608 10 місяців тому +4

Are you telling me, local worms taste better than imported worms do? 🪱
As a fly fisherman, "matching the hatch" is a proven bait matching technique. It applies to any fishing situation! From a mayfly to a menhayden, bait fish.
So.... You may be on to something!?

While bass fishing, observe the banks to see what's swimming by and the color. Changed my lizard's color to match salamanders that were in the area and BAM. Turned catching nothing into a productive day.

Hey BILLY, this plug that you show right now I use them for something else other efficient hacks you take two of them for inch plugs and you put them on the loader over your tractor and you can put a chain in that hole. You can put a few good things in that holemoney wallet whatever time you get out you need a chain you got it. Have a good evening Billy.😂😂😂

As a kayaker, definitely like the drift bucket idea. I had a suggestion though. What if you used a bunch of grommets you've used many times in your videos, to make the holes in the bucket. That way the holes are protected from ripping or tearing. Just an idea.
Also, thanks for all that you do to help the blue collar man get it done on a budget!

    Here is additional worm hack.
When I was a kid we would go worming.
Find a likely space with some casing or holes. Mix up some dry powdered mustard in a bucket of cold water.
Soak the ground watch the worms come up.

    Great ideas there Keith.
I could see value in all these hacks. Especially liked the soft bucket with holes as a drift anchor, storage wise, they're small enough to keep two on board.
Really like yhose bucket handles, need to get some of those.
Saw in the comments about people put two lids on coffee can or similar, thats what I was always shown. Fastest way now is tell my grandjids to get one, of course sometimes they end up all over the floor.
Getting ideas from subs is a good idea, complie everything and spring em all at once.
God bless you and your family brother. Stay safe out there with craky.

    Second comment
I had a new wild bird like lure with bright red net wings to give to my pal in Colombia.
The TSA would not let it on as carry on in my back pack.
I didn't have the time to back out of line and gate check a single lure.
I told TSA was a good lure please buy keep it to use in Queens NY or Long Island sound either not far from JFK airport.
Some fishing gear may not pass TSA if sharp barb or any indication of potential evil use.
I had a larger divided plastic box with a dozens others as gifts in the big checked duffle loaded up for Santa Marta
    A good lesson learned.

This is sort of a hack. Up north when it gets cooler folks use the fingerless gloves which are pretty pricey. I take an old sock or one where it’s partner has been consumed by the black hole in my dryer which selectively sucks up socks, cut off the toe and forefoot part, cut a thumb hole where the heel is, and use that. Wool socks are best. This doubles as a snot rag for my nose which drips continually when it gets cold. It can be tossed back in the washer to clean it off. I actually started using this hack over my cross country ski gloves so I wouldn’t have to keep reaching for a handkerchief.
