    I have a suggestion - when you mention certain ‘military duties’ maybe try to explain it :) I think that would really help too. Great video though!

      It is a very lengthy process, but if you check the USAFA official site and visit the Admissions, there is an extensive catalog of all the expectations, scores, and pre-requisites in the application process of the Academy!

    Cambria, my daughter in coming in with ‘23, and I’d like your opinion on her walking on, specifically in Volleyball. Will there be an opportunity during or at the end of BCT to do this? Thank you!

      Cambria Lenee Thank you very much! As a Grad with an incoming Basic, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your videos. I was recruited for IC Football, but ended up playing IC Baseball, so I get all the thoughts and concerns of being an IC athlete. Best of luck on your upcoming season!

    Would it be possible to do multiple sports? And would you say that it is manageable if they are in two different seasons?

    • @cambrialenee7434
      @cambrialenee7434  5 років тому

      I was able to manage both but of course there’s always something you’re gonna have to give up because of the time commitment. Most college sports even when you’re not in season you are training so if the sports you want to do are in different seasons you’ll still most likely be doing double training.

  • @anthonynorman9496

    the video is great! I have two questions though, what time does every cadet have to wake up and how do they wake you up and does the Academy have a track and field team? taking mental notes.

    • @cambrialenee7434
      @cambrialenee7434  5 років тому +1

      Anthony Norman freshman year you’ll probably be waking up at 6 on school days/ days you’re required to do minutes ( freshman go out at 6:25 to “wake up” upperclassmen) . Once you’re an upperclassmen you just have to be up by 8 / whenever you have class. Or you are up at 6:20 if you’re flight has MOD. It’s all kind of confusing but I’d say on average you’re gonna be up at 6:40

    • @cambrialenee7434
      @cambrialenee7434  5 років тому +1

      And yes there is a track team !

    I know most d1 sports are walk on at the academy. What happens if your not gonna enough for the sport and you get cut? Do you have to sign up for another sport or are you fine with sports for that year. I know athletics are manditory st the academy

    • @cambrialenee7434
      @cambrialenee7434  5 років тому

      ELIT3 FR3SHN3SS Most of the intercollegiate sports are strictly recruited. The only ones I know that are walk on are boxing and club sports. Most club sports don’t cut and aren’t mandatory !! Hopefully this clears things up.

      @@cambrialenee7434 '89, 91, 94, and 98. My older brother taught there from I think 98-02 and then went back for 4 more years. He won the top Comp Sci Professor award 3 times. Now he's taking on BlockChain. I was just watching a clip of the choir from maybe 91. I saw my sister in it at least. They sang at the Country Music Awards back in 90 but I was a 4 degree and never saw it. But I just saw the footage last month. Nice to see her on TV.

      No need to apologize! I get asked almost everyday about it (it’s just super rare so most people just think my tonight is falling off). I definitely understand your daughters position. I’ve always played two sports and took on way too much work in high school. I’m so happy that she got her appointment ( you should be very proud). The academy will teach her very quickly the importance of BALANCE. Without it here life is miserable, I hope you encourage her to do what she loves and balance her life so she doesn’t undergo the same stressors as a lot of first year cadets. Thank you so much for your support! Your words of encouragement really push me to make more videos and help more parents/ incoming cadets get a real glimpse into USAFA!
