Just because I've seen like 6 comments already about how it's not possible to have 250 hours in the game, I got a review code 2 weeks before the game came out. Combine that with 10+ hour days and little sleep and that is how I have so many hours lol.

I will say going to jail is a must if you want to join the crimson fleet faction, after that you have access to the red mile which sells shielded cargo holds for smuggling
Tip on the Laser (Cutter) - as you're approaching an item, hold the AIM button (PC - Rt Mouse) and watch the circle. The three arms will move in, when they reach the center FIRE it. Almost instant retrieval!! Real time saver.
15h in the game and I still learned so much from this video and the first one, thanks! One note about not going to jail, you still want to go there once (but preferably late in the game) to trigger the start of one of the faction quest line.
For anyone who doesn't know you have two containers in the lodge with unlimited storage . The safe in your room and the small yellow box next to the research console in the basement .only the one in the basement is linked to the work benches .(, edit ) turns out you still need to take the stuff out to use it
There is also 2 ammo.boxes behind the weapons bench that can hold as much as you like, also 2 more boxes in the very back rooms down there hold unlimited stuff too
I keep seeing people either get thrusters wrong, or not explain them well enough. Is is one of the BEST features (IMO) in space combat. Yes, the give you more "maneuverability" kinda... When you have the thruster button held down, you can reorient your ship while still moving In the direction you where going when you pushed the button. Example: say your speed is 100, hold the thruster button and spin around to face behind you. You are now going backwards at 100. Enemy does a fly by... thruster 180 and boost. Enemy flying beside you... thruster to the side and now you are strafing them. With the right amount of switching thrusters on and off you can spin around a ship while keeping in frount of you.
Pro tip: On Pc you can set a second key for jumping. Like LAlt. If you push this second jumpbutton midair to use your boostpack, you get a diffrent typ of boost compared to your normal boost.
Something I haven’t heard anybody mention; Don’t sleep on Sinclair’s Books in Akila. 2000 creds for each rare earth book you provide. Couple of examples of books to sell: Dracula, Count of Monte Cristo etc. Basically nothing by Charles Dickens. You can still sell any book to her but it’s worth picking up books as there’s so many worth selling. I’ve made so much from this as I’m a book hoarder in game
Another tip for when you are flying. If you want to 180 flip your ship as a enemy has flown past you you can hold the thruster button down and pull back it will rotate you round far far quicker than looping. I have seen a lot of comments that space combat is hard, but tbh, coming from Elite over to this, so far I haven't found It a challenge by just maintaining good positioning on enemies and using the boost to avoid getting shot to much (note, if you want to avoid fire boost and TURN away from the incoming firing arc not into it, and do not just boost in a straight line)
Same I played ED for awhile now I play star citizen so space combat don't seem like much to me .but thats fine cause its not a space or flight sim so I don't expect realistic physics or maneuvering requirements its just a game that has ship combat..not a game ABOUT ship combat
My tip for early game ships: Use a mix of engines. Most designs require more than one engine to maximise maneuverability. You might be tempted to use the most expensive engines and call it a day, but the engines mid and lower tier engines give you better thrusters. Being able to reach a fast top speed is mostly useful only for dudging missle locks, its more important to be able to turn quickly and point your guns at the enemy ship. My first ship used one of each tier of engines and can basically spin around on the spot in mere seconds. With only 3 bars in each weapon type this ship is still great in fights after dozens of hours. TL;DR top speed in ships is overrated, its all about drifting, baby.
@@IPaid4WinRAR speed. If an enemy ship flies past you during head to head, theres a sweetspot on your speed bar. Center that and youll turn more sharply. Not sure if its a glitch. But an exploit I just learned about from a UA-camr video and was able to execute, is getting the complete Mark Space Outfit [ Helmet, Suit and Booster] located in the Lodge Basement in 1 of the rooms where there is a Mannequin locked behind a Glass Enclosure that requires Master Lock Pick Skill. The exploit is you can aim your cursor between the gap of the glass Enclosure and its Door. Then the prompt will appear to TAKE and you now have an awesome Space Outfit early on. It takes a little patience to line it up exactly on the right spot in the gap. Enjoy! 😊
I've seen quite a few guns in locked weapon cases which are almost halfway out of the container, these can be easily picked up without opening the container and I assume it's definitely a glitch due to models clipping. Still, would it be a Bethesda game if it didn't have a few fun bugs like this?

I’ve gad a really bad glitch already. A corrupted save of some sort. Basically my ship dissapeared. I could fast travel to it but it wouldn’t be there. I could fast travel to places I’ve been but not jump to other places. I could go into ship builder and if I changed something on the ship it reappeared but I still couldn’t use it. It wouldn’t take off and I couldn’t save or load after the ship reappeared. Found a save about 3 hours back that was okay so it wasn’t the end of the world but it took me basically a whole night of play time, maybe 3 hours, just getting things back to normal and then another night of play time, 3 hours, to get back where I was in the game. Basically two days down. I want my pre-order money back lol.
The romance ship crew thing isn’t working for me. I tried your trick long before watching this video and despite my romance being assigned to the ship it still pulled the xp buff from my active companion.
Don't think so, best thing to do is increase your ships cargo capacity early on. Make an outpost sooner than later to store materials. Idk I think it is a glitch. Because at one point the door never opened for me and then magically it did.
@@SwanyPlaysGames yeah I just no clipped it. There was ZERO solutions online about it and no guides yet, so 🤷♂️
Really helpful tips, thanks
I learned about charging the cutter on early access day one of the game
The show all targets is set to show only active targets by default you must have hit it by accid3nt at some point
Can you show the ins and outs of the ship shield ? Mine says it’s offline and I can’t figure out how to get it back on
Good video, thanks 😊
Very helpful video. Thank you!
I named my character Malcom Reynolds and am currently working on building a class 3 Firefly.
Zzzzzzz you and thousands of others probably. Boring.
I’m using Barrett as a companion and you can do all sorts of terrible things. I did the first half of the space pirates missions. Also he used to be UC soldier but I think they screwed him, so he likes everything with the UC, so far everything with the pirates no problems.Dude seems to like adventuring and if that involves killing and robbing he is fine. The one time he didn’t like something I did, when I hacked a computer terminal on Mars. Random
Thank you great tips from both videos
Show active targets is a great tip, thanks.
Sarah Morgan shot me down when I took all the flirt options? Did I miss the only opportunity for that bonus now or are there more chances down the road? Sucks.
You have to take them with you a few times, get a few likes on your actions and responses, then try again
Thos game is dope! Video is dope as well!
Are the xp bonuses in game time or real time?
Both? The XP bonus will actually last the full 24 minutes (from what I've noticed I could be wrong) but if you sat at a chair and waited 1 hour in game I know it will remove the XP bonus.
Very helpful! Thank you!!
Tranquilitea is based out of Neon, so there is a shop there too
Good tip. Thanks. Neon is a great place
oh yea, I've spent about 80-90% of my time in game in and around Neon@@CountryBoyChris
[You take a sip from your trusty Tranquilitea cup]
👏🤩great tips🙌
I’ve been playing for the past week, and I only knew half of this! very well done👍
I was so anxious to get the game started that I made terrible choices when it came to my traits when developing my character. And on top of that he ended up looking like the most harmless person in the galaxy! 😂
Wow, this video was so informative. I appreciate how you explained everything in detail and showed us how to make the most of Starfield’s features and mechanics. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos.
are you his friend or something lol?
@@jp-sn6si I don't even know him... is there something that you don't like?
How do you get to sub 12 in the drinks on the house quest?
This game really is like the Internet meme "OMG I have so much stuff to do!"... 😁
Yeah, it's just insane how detailed Starfield is. It's a bit overwhelming in the first few hours. But hey, I managed to take down a Terrormorph with the help of some turrets, which is nice! 🤟
I have a tip of my own I don’t know how helpful it will be but you can just throttle up and down when in a dog fight you throttle faster than the game so I chase someone at full speed then to turn I throttle down to the sweet spot turn max speed again.
How were you mining if you weren’t holding down the button
Main quest killed my wife so I rushed to NG+ cus my character was done with this universe and I experienced the Tapestry. I didnt do everything but I did a lot and still made little impact. Second time around Im gonna try and do a lot more
Hey, where did you get Betty Howser please ?
TY sir!
Is it true you need a good gpu to run this game smoothly?
Dude I thought I could only show one quest marker I didn’t realize I accidentally put only active markers on that’s crazy lol
U never aimed while using the mining gun?
6:40
Yeah I was wondering if we were going with the old give your companion at least one round…
… rule
From whole video i remember maybe 5 things now.. beed to watch again and again to memorise this whole load 😅😭
So getting arrested just after you level up is the way to go. 👍🏽
My man out here name dropping Amelia Earhart like we wouldn't notice!?
Do different teas xp buffs stack?
I must of turned the quest marker thing off by accident. Im happy you can turn them all on
The adoring fan love us no matter our decisions 🤣🤣
The romance ship crew thing isn’t working for me. I tried your trick long before watching this video and despite my romance being assigned to the ship it still pulled the xp buff from my active companion.
Idk why it's only working for some people
Is there a way to pull all my resources I stored in the lodge while I’m on another planet trying to build an outpost?
Don't think so, best thing to do is increase your ships cargo capacity early on. Make an outpost sooner than later to store materials. You can't get into your ships cargo from the menu screen and store or grab stuff from about 250km or whatever unit it is away. Very helpful for storing stuff you buy from cites since your ship is typically that close.
played 10 hours and never knew that was the favorite menu!
Your character is definitely English. "Things look like they're going get a bit wild here. Best have a cup of tea"
the thrust button on pc is space btw
Wish there was a persuade option for ship piracy. At least give you a chance to not have to kill everyone…
Have you completed the Ryujin tech faction missions?
As for getting caught with contraband... it may be you want to get caught, in some location(s)/system(s). Not saying more than that.
Didn't even realize there was a full complete help menu....
