You’re supposed to buff in circular motions into the skin. The product will blend and melt into the skin to create a non-cakes finish. You’re not supposed to press and swipe like you would with a liquid foundation

The method depends on your skin texture (i.e. wrinkles, scars, dry patches etc.) - a more mature skin looks rather bad if you use the buffing method...
In my experience the type of brush you use makes a huge difference. I tried using the Real Techniques face brush and it didn't turn out well, but when I used a natural bristle brush the result was completely different.
Been using Bareminerals products for years and the best way to achieve a flawless airbrushed look is to buff it on your skin. Mineral foundations works best if you buff it with a dense brush.
I have been using this foundation for years. It is my favorite because depending on the application, it does not cover my freckles. I have found though that the brush does matter. Urban Decay's "Optical Blurring" brush gives very high coverage together with it, which is why I usually use it to cover blemishes only, but the BareMinerals "Beautiful Finish" brush made for it, not so much.
The findation was so accurate, seriously highly recommended. I was able to get my match in this (I also double check in Ulta)
I find it so neat how you have taken the opportunity to bring attention to prayer and your faith in your videos. I found your video positive and candid. It was an honest review and some of the comments below are unnecessarily mean. Keep up the good work!
*Ok, I didn't even make it all the way through your video because first off, you were using waaaayyy too much in your cap. 2, you need a more dense brush and 3 you are supposed to use circular buffing motions on small sections of your face and build up the product. You should watch Shelby Wilson's Bare Minerals videos and then try again. Her videos are so good Bare Minerals uses them to train. Shelby Wilson used to work for them and started her UA-cam channel using only their products. You also didn't prep your skin correctly.*

Mix it with the primer i promise you it will work with the beauty blender
You can try mixing it with your moisturizer. Making the first layer a tinted moisturizer. Then add more on top. I also notice it melts into creamy texture throughout the day. Meaning it actually looks better after it’s been on your skin for bit. The brush does matter. So the denser the better. Precision face brush or core coverage.
I use a beauty blender and mix it with the unseen supergoop sunscreen and what ? Works perfect
The brush has to be pretty dense to get good coverage. I use this foundation with a sonia kashuk foundation brush which happens to be really dense and works perfectly!

Definitely should buuffffff into the skin, not pat. I work for Bare Minerals. I hope you try it out again with a different brush and technique
The primer that is matte might be part of why it’s not working for you-it has nothing to grab onto. I use Becca Backlight primer.

PLEASE help me! :-) i finally found a color that matches me and i can t seem to make this original powder work.. i 'buff' it in but i always get spots where the product is GONE because of the buffing so it kinda looks like i have patches or scuffs' where there is no powder... i can t seem to get this even.. i tried it over my Skinnies spf and i tried it over my Ordinary moisturiser.. nothing seems to make it blend in.. ANY help?? thank you ;-)
Is this shade a warm tone?
Wrong shade!!!!! You are using the wrong brush , and you need to go in circular motion.
Why not learn how to use it before criticising it

Hello I had this back in the day when it first came out and was recommended to use a kabuki brush. When u have a powder brush like yours it’s giving you a more sheer finish.
Try a kabuki brush :) hope that helps💕

😂 It’s definitely not the product that’s the problem.. You need to use a better brush AND you need to BLEND in circular motion. You’re just going all over the place c’mon

She was doing it completely wrong. You can do it. Check out Shelby Wilson on UA-cam, she's a pro and I guarantee you once you watch her videos on Bare Minerals original powder foundation, you will get it and love it.
