Yess!!! I like to set it with Evian spray I get it at ULTA and then go back in with the fluffy kabuki brush I applied the powder with originally not using any extra to melt it into the skin, looks flawless. Love it. Just wish they had my shade in the compact vs just the loose powder. 😪 I'm going on 35 so while I don't have major wrinkling going on its definitely not a perfect complexion. It's good stuff, worth the price to me.
I've been using it over 20 yrs. and I could never go back to liquid foundation, I tried and it felt so awful that I had to remove it immediately. I love it!
I used it for many years but then it started skipping over my pores. 😢 Tried several different kinds of brushes but got the same results. Any suggestions? Maybe I've out aged it.

I'm so happy you used the Bare Minerals foundation. It looks great on you. I've been using it in medium for nearly 20 years. It's the only foundation I've ever used. I'm 69 now and have few wrinkles. I started using it to cover scars from an assault in 2000. It feels creamy on the skin and will give you whatever coverage you need. I sometimes dab a damp natural sponge over my face after applying.
I'm 50 years old and Bare Minerals has been my go-to foundation for about 5 years. I love it for my combination skin, but I do make sure I use a good moisturizer on my cheeks before I apply. I haven't experienced any dryness. When I wear it, it makes my skin look healthy but not covered up.
@@merricat3025 Me too. Used it in my 30's made me look 50. Now I'm 51 and can get away looking 40 by using tinted sunscreen. I wonder if it's my application? I want it to work. Love some tips 🌺
Former Bare Minerals employee here! First of all, I’m stunned how amazing/smooth the foundation looks on you in the capacity of 4K. One tip I recommend for the original powder foundation is to absolutely purchase & use the Beautiful Finish Foundation Brush (retail $34). I’m sure your brush is absolutely FABULOUS but the original powder foundation is a very unique technology in and of itself and it really behaves the best when applied with the brush that goes with it. The brush literally buffs & melts the foundation into your skin & makes sure that it stays on all day with little to no separation. Seriously guys, try the brush with the powder foundation. You won’t be disappointed I promise!
I've been a bareminerals user for years & I love it! The original foundation is what I use & I truly believe it makes my 63 year old skin look younger. Thanks so much for sharing!
I used Bare Minerals in the late ‘90s and forgot about it until about a month or so ago. Something made me think about it recently and I began rebuilding my collection of it and appreciating it all over again. I am 42, also using tretinoin, and find BE to be a lovely foundation on my skin. Thanks for sharing this video. 😌
Looks amazing on you! In my 20’s/30’s I used to only use Bare Minerals but as makeup became more “popular” over the past decade or so, I haven’t used it in a long time. I think I’ll pick up some and give it a try again. It definitely makes the application process quicker & looks very nice on the skin
I used to buy bare minerals when they had the infomercial for it before they sold it in stores. I loved it. That was long ago. I’m 38 years old now. Time flies, doesn’t it.
I have to say... If using Bare Minerals you HAVE TO use a moisturizer that your skin absorbs. Use only a little bit of the powder and blend it out! If your skin is dry, that HAS TO be corrected first! Good Luck and Wayne is BEAUTIFUL without or with product 💖✨💖
@@katy9291 I highly recommend using the glossier future dew as a primer, and then setting with a hydrating setting spray, I use the Milk hydrogrip to set. I also use the glossier priming moisturizer rich sometimes but I love the futuredew. I also do what Wayne does, I tap the powder onto my face, a very light amount all over to set the primer, and then buff it it in after about 30 seconds because the primer is very emollient, but the powder blends in so well and it keeps you hydrated all day. I have eczema and psoriasis on my face and BM original is my main foundation
I agree. I use Bare Minerals foundation on my face. I always use a moisturizer first. Then, I use the primer over that. It helps to blend the foundation much better. Less is more, than too much foundation. It's easier to put less powder foundation on your face, than too much. You can always put on more foundation, if you need to. I usually blend it out as much as I can, before adding anymore foundation. Remember, it's a powder foundation, not a liquid or a cream foundation. I love Bare Minerals!! I have been using their products for many years now. Thanks, Wayne!! 💖
I have oily skin but it’s dry and sometimes flaky due to acne treatments. Should I be using a dewy primer? And what kind of brush is the best for buffing out powder foundations? Thanks for any help!
@@babygirl-oz3cg hey I used to work for bare minerals! The complexion rescue from bare minerals is a great primer for under the original foundation! In regards to a brush it's completely up to you! If you want full coverage used something more dense if you want light build able coverage use a more fully brush! I myself apply the complexion rescue first then 'set' it with the original powder then I start buffing! And remember light buffing don't be vigorous and the more longer you buff the more it will melt into your skin!
I am 43, and I have VERY dry mature skin. I LOVE bare minerals powder! I use concealer next to my nose, under my eyes, and on my chin. Everywhere else I use the powder! Its magic on me!
I hope that you are using BISQUE for concealing, which is absolutely fabulous, for sunkissed complexion use SUMMER BISQUE, for a person of colour , use HONEY BISQUE1!
A little pro tip for under your eyes is to put some Auqaphor under eyes and all around eyes before putting on Retinol/Tretinoin. I had the same problem....this tip is a life saver.
When it first came out I had a subscription and I get it every 3 months . This was the best makeup I’ve ever used and I don’t know why I quit wearing it . I’m going back
Same here. I absolutely loved it. I stopped using it because my skin is so oily and they never came out with an oil control, long wearing foundation. I wonder if they have one now, I am obsessed with my Estée Lauder Double Wear.
@@mcel33 my sister swears by the Estée Lauder double wear but I found it too heavy like I actually feel the makeup. Then having the fu@%ing hot 🥵 flashes doesn’t help . This mineral makeup lets the pores breathe.
I used to use it all the time until they added bismuth to it. Now it makes my face itch through out the day. They need to remove that. There is no need for it.
@@lasenoritacometa1977 ever tried the Double Wear Water Fresh? It’s extremely hydrating and I think lighter, while still giving full coverage. I have that, the original, and the light versions of DW and the Water Fresh is the one I reach for 99% of the time.
I finally joined the bandwagon a few years ago. I did not want to like this product, but it's my current holy grail foundation. This stuff is truly a "your skin but better" finish. It's finely milled, and doesn't settle into fine lines.
I love Bare Minerals powder concealer! I plot it with a little precision brush over only the small imperfections! It last allday! It is a No Make-up look which I haven't found with any other concealers! Love you @Wayne Goss

Wayne, I actually have used this BM on your exact same shade for 2+ decades on my skin for my sensitive skin / combination skin - haven’t used any other foundation since then & we are about the same age - thank you for providing this review & tutorial 🙏👌👍🤗
Hi Wayne I used bare minerals for many years as it was the best for my sensitive (eczema prone) skin, but as my skin got even drier aka older and post menopausal, all that buffing is very irritating. I also developed rosacea and have to be very gentle with my skin. I moved onto liquid/creams, as they don't need all that buffing etc. Mineral foundation is excellent in the Summer, as it lasts well on a hot day and can look really beautiful on the skin. i still use it as a powder over a light coverage liquid, as there isn't the need for all that buffing and it still gives some additional coverage. My skin is very dry, so as it isn't meant for oil absorption it doesn't dry me out even more than I already am. I thought it looked really good on you - even in 4k lol. Best wishes.
I also have dry sensitive skin + rosacea. I would love to use a light powder foundation like this but all that buffing would irritate my face SOOO much. : / I use sheer liquid foundation bc I can ever so lightly press it onto my face. Also can't use powder blushes for the same reason.
Bare Minerals got me to somewhat achieve the filtered look I had seen all over SoMe for years before realizing it was actually photo filters 🤷♀️ but it’s the first time I put on makeup and felt confident in what I’ve achieved
There's a German powder/mineral product called 'wonder pearls'. I'm 50 years old and it's the very first product that I like as a foundation! It has a nice coverage without being cakey or makes my pors look huge..and it lasts for hours. This stuff is amazing!
Finally a make up artist admits to foundations having a yellow undertone. I thought I’ve been going crazy for the past two years. Maybe because everybody spray tans now? Even the so-called neutrals and cool towns look orange on my skin
@@dynamist That's not even true. My family has yellow undertones. At a wedding reception, the halogen lights in the hall made my mother and me turn yellow, but everyone else looked normal.
Dear Wayne, I think the Bare Minerals looks flawless on you and medium is perfect. It makes me glad I went back to that brand. I’m 69 now and get compliments all the time on my skin. For a few years I decided that it was “powder” and would settle into wrinkles, so I regretfully switched to several medium to high end liquid foundations and never had the satisfaction I had with Bare Minerals. Thanks to you, I learned the secret of buffing a few videos ago, and that makes all the difference. Thanks and be well💕.
I used Bare Minerals original medium shade into my 60s, and it always looked wonderful. Now I'm better off using the cream version. Thank you for this video. It gives me faith in my makeup choices.
Same here! I've been using it for over 17 years, but lately I've been noticing it's been looking a little cakey on my skin and accentuating fine lines and wrinkles 😕 I don't know why either 😔 Any good primer recommendations that anyone can please let me know about to use with bareminerals foundation please? Perhaps that could be the issue for me? 😕
I'm 71 and have used Bare Minerals for around 20 years...a few key factors for me ....small amounts at a time...buff, buff, buff...clean brush...lightly w/my finger use downward strokes on nose to fill in pores...also finish off w/mineral veil...I get lots of compliments on my "skin"
I LOVE Bare Minerals foundation. I really appreciate the way it looks on my skin, the older I get. I'm 32, I know I know, not that old, but I feel like this foundation looks the best on my skin at this stage in my life. It so underrated.
Bare Minerals is my absolute favorite. I despise heavy makeup, and Bare minerals gives excellent coverage to accent your natural beauty, and cover flaws without looking made up.
I love the fact that you don’t use filters and you let the rest of us see the lines, pores, etc that we all have, especially those if us around the 40 year mark. Also, the fact that you never have drama is always refreshing. Wayne Goss, you are officially my favorite mua. I’ve learned more from you about how to apply products, as well as which products to use, on my aging skin than I have from anyone. Thank you 🙏
I think the secret, at least for my skin (oily in certain areas, dry in other, wrinkles, texture, pores) is to use little of the powder, in a color that is not too light or too dark, although the colors are forgiving, and buffing away. I only have problems if I use too much powder, because then it sits on top of the issues and actually highlights them. Other foundations do not work for me because of texture.
@@Vera-kh8zj I can totally see that. I've been focusing a lot more on caring for my skin and although many issues have corrected themselves, I struggle a little bit with the the cakey look or with texture and the lasting power of light-to-medium coverage base products.
I would definitely exfoliate, apply plenty of moisturizer, let it sink in well, and use a primer. I use the one BM makes with it. You should use one with dimethicone, because it needs to have some slip for the foundation to adhere properly, and not drag on the skin.
So I hated BM when I was younger but now in my 30's, I think it looks the best on my skin! It is natural and idk if I have gotten better with application or if the product works better on my skin, but I feel as though it covers my skin issues best.
The 2 things I don't like about BM- it's a hella messy and doesn't last. I use a tinted spf foundation from Chanel and it seems to be the best for me. I love this guy, tho.
Love Bare Minerals even at my age. I love how it blends and the ability to build up if needed. I was thrilled to hear you like this product as well. Thank you for your honest evaluation. Still enjoying the Cult Beauty Box you recommended. I throughly enjoyed every product in the box. I am now hooked on the Inkey line of facial treatments and serums. Oh wayne, You steered me well with the nude by nature, thee absolutely best mineral foundation I have ever used, for the first time in years my 58yr old dehydrated skin looks flawless ! Thank you so much ! 💓
Aww I love Wayne. Best person on UA-cam. Also, as a side note, I prefer using mineral foundation with my mask because the foundation doesn't come off as much, and when it does, you can touch it back up in a way you can't do with liquid foundation!
I am closer to 60 than to 50, and this is the only makeup I can use on my skin that will result in a natural (yet improved) appearance. Anything else accentuates my lines and makes my skin appear crepe-y. I love that it's quick and easy to apply, and I feel like my skin can "breathe" while wearing it. Enjoying your videos, thank you for making them available. :)
I love you so much! I love your honesty and authenticity. You seem to be so pure hearted and sweet, and at the same time wise. Thank you so much for putting the time and effort into making those videos. You are the only "beauty-youtuber" left in my subscription list
Bare Minerals original foundation has been my go-to foundation for about 12 years now. That says a lot since I just hit '60'. My skin has gone thru a lot of changes during the last 10 years but Bare Minerals has managed to handle it all!
Bare Minerals Original has been my go to for over 10 years! Use a bit of liquid concealer under eyes and any blemishes then a light coat of BM! Love how you can build the coverage and doesn’t feel like you are wearing a mask like with liquid foundation.
I love bareMinerals it’s actually the powder foundation, mineral veil and warmth I’ve been using for years I would always pick up the larger ones for the holidays and it’s still one that I always go back to I’m 41 and I’ve been using it at least 12 years-
Bare Minerals powder foundation is such a great product. I am 43 with dry skin and it's the only powder I can use that doesn't accentuate the dryness. When buffed in thoroughly it almost feels like it becomes creamy. Love your videos Wayne! I don't watch many beauty UA-cam channels but enjoy your honesty, knowledge and great tips. And of course you are nice to look at *wink*. 💋
Love you Wayne, sweet soul. I’m 62, so I use NO powder on my skin, except for eyeshadow and I’m seriously thinking about switching to a matte non shimmer eye shadow. IF you sincerely want honesty, I feel the bare minerals looked fabulous everywhere but your nose and around your eyes. You’re going to look beautiful regardless, so it’s really a moot point. Your voice touches my soul. Thank you and much love to you and anyone reading this, in oneness.
I'm just 60 & been wearing Bare Minerals original for about 12 years now & it's so easy to apply, my everyday makeup. I love it. For special days I use the Bare Minerals tube Foundation, it's light & great coverage, then original Bare Minerals medium & face looks flawless. (I say that loosely, have lots little lines & things are heading south!) Well, I have used a lot of different make up over the years & your skin changes when it ages. I think having the ability to build it up makes it ideal for those that like a little more natural look, the product is definitely one of my favourites.
Looks great. Just bought a Bareminerals Original starter kit and I am a little older than 43...68. You make it look easy. Guess I will drag my kit from under the bed and give it a go. Thanks Wayne.
Thanks Wayne. After 15 years I’ve rediscovered it. It was still good after all that time. I’ll get some new ones. Thank goodness they’re still available
I've been using Bare Minerals for 20 years. I'm now over 60 and it's still the best foundation I've found. I've experimented with liquid foundations, and I always go back. I'm now to the point I don't bother with others.
I am 48, and I have also been using it for over 20 years. It was the first makeup I would wear because I could not feel it on my face, and it genuinely looks natural. I have seen a lot of people say you can't wear it after 40 but I do not have any problems with it. I will say, I still have oily skin, maybe that makes a difference. There are a couple of BB creams I like, but I am Bare Minerals 80% of the time or more.
It looks good on you. And I appreciate your not filtering. My skin wouldn't look THAT Beautiful in 4k. I have ENORMOUS pores. I have combo skin but anything super dry or matte settles into and emphasizes every pore and fine line.
Wayne, could you do a wear test of the mineral foundation? Mine always ends up looking cakey after a few hours. What's the secret? Good moisturizer, I suppose. Thank you always for your wonderful tutorials!
@@WayneGoss , I wish Nude By Nature was available in the US. I went to the website and strated to order a few samples so I can figure out which shade I could wear and they wanted $20.00 for shipping.
So cool seeing it in 4K! I actually think it creates a beautiful airbrushed effect. And I love Nude by Nature, both my mum and I love their powder foundation!!!
I use Nude by Nature over Bare Minerals. It's a great product and I like to support local companies so it's a win win. My Mum won't wear makeup, never has. I remember when I was a kid she told me I'd get wrinkles at an early age from using it. I have some (late 50's) but I reckon I look pretty good and the makeup didn't contribute to the few I've got.
I'm 48 and only use Bare Minerals. It's the best makeup I've ever found that doesn't aggravate my rosacea. I've been using it for years and love it! I have learned how to use it so that my fine lines don't get accentuated. I don't have any wrinkles yet. We'll see what the future holds.
It looks gorgeous Wayne! Perfect match for your skin tone. Lighter would make you look washed out and darker would be major obvious it's wrong color! I love bare minerals! I can see by your demonstration I need to blend more! Thanks for sharing your talent ❤️
BareMinerals was also my first mineral foundation. I still love it. I have it as my easy day foundation. Super easy. Thank you, love ya Wayne, you are the best ❤️😍🥰 Also turning 40 this year so this was great ❤️😘
I wore Bare Minerals loose mineral foundation all through the 00"s when I was in my forties through early 50's. I was complemented all the time on how beautiful my complexion was. I always said it was Bare Minerals. Then menopause hit and my skin care regimen had to change. Enjoy it while you can!!
I've been in menopause since I was 36. (surgical due to uterine cancer) and I'm almost 52. I still wear the minerals but, for the most part, I've switched to their serum foundation. It's amazing stuff.
I think it looks fab on you! I’ve been using BM ever since Leslie was selling it on QVC, and there was definitely a big learning curve. When they came out with their primer, that was a game changer for me! The application process, and how it looked on my skin, was so much better. When they first started opening boutiques, I was lucky enough to get invited to the opening of the one in my town. I scored an appointment with one of the makeup artists that Leslie brought with her, and she gave me so many tips on the application process, from using the right brush, applying bisque to achieve more coverage in certain areas, and how to buff it into my skin correctly. I learned so much from her, and it certainly helped me with using the foundation. I wore it during esthetics school(at 48), because of the 12 hour days, and I always got compliments on my skin, not my makeup. I’m 54 now, with mostly dry skin, and even though, I like to switch my makeup around, it’s still one of my holy grail foundations.
I am 63 and there are no signs of my T-zone settling down any time soon. After this tutorial, I am going to go 100% Bare Minerals and toss the mix and match concealer, foundation and blushers I've been using.
I started wearing Bare Minerals in my 20's. It looked flawless into my late 30's. Then I turned 39 or 40 and it never did look like it used to. It accentuated pores where it used to buff them out. I never thought I'd go back to liquid foundation, ever! But here I am, preferring Naked Skin by UD or Glossier's skin tint. Now that I'm seeing this, I'm thinking maybe I need to try some other brushes and buff more than I used to. Thanks for all of your videos, you're the only makeup person on UA-cam I enjoy watching. I actually learn from you and I want to thank you for explaining what you're doing, why you're doing it, and why different tools work the way they do.
I love how you don't use any filters and we can ACTUALLY see your skin

I'm 50 years old and Bare Minerals has been my go-to foundation for about 5 years. I love it for my combination skin, but I do make sure I use a good moisturizer on my cheeks before I apply. I haven't experienced any dryness. When I wear it, it makes my skin look healthy but not covered up.
I bought bareMinerals a few years ago. I hated it. I thought it made me look older
@@merricat3025 Me too. Used it in my 30's made me look 50. Now I'm 51 and can get away looking 40 by using tinted sunscreen. I wonder if it's my application? I want it to work. Love some tips 🌺
@@TG-ob5fn i have nothing for Bare Minerals. Try cc cream from IT cosmetics. Works great and easy to use
I love Wayne...he's so genuine and calm and honest😊
Slightly oily is all good as it makes us look younger and less wrinkles. You look fab with BM. 40 yo! 🥰 Excellent tutorial, thank you. 👍👍
I use this brush and love it!
You look amazing at 42!
Me too
I love your videos. You are so honest and know what you are talking about. Not to mention how calming and relaxed your style of filming is.
I’m in my late 70s, and Bare Minerals still looks good. Yes, I need to moisturize first, but always did. I do need the concealer now, around my eyes.
I bought mine today and I agree.. it looks great from here 👏🏻🥰
I have to say...
Yea, my skin is very dry and all this buffing just dug up all my flaky skin :(
@@katy9291 I highly recommend using the glossier future dew as a primer, and then setting with a hydrating setting spray, I use the Milk hydrogrip to set.
And remember light buffing don't be vigorous and the more longer you buff the more it will melt into your skin!
fabulous look....Bare Minerals was my very first mineral foundation I used years ago....fabulous.
I still use it among others and it’s so easy to use I think I have not been blending it in as well as I should !
@Nikki Loves Does one need to buy the Bare Minerals concealer in conjunction with the BM foundation OR do you just use the foundation as a concealer? I don’t mind spending the extra money but I don’t know if they are the same or similar product?
@@Blondie727 I think he just used more bareMinerals foundation as a concealer.

The main thing I'm seeing from this video is that I don't blend my makeup enough. :)
Yes finaly someone giving credit to bare minerals 👍. I love this foundation u get the most natural glow !!! And it doesn’t make u break out !!! I been using it for 15 years !!!
This video makes me feel better! It's real! I don't care for the foundation myself because it's extremely dry looking. BUT, you've shown real skin has dry spots where wrinkles are. I get so much out of your videos, thank you! I've just started using makeup and I'm 50 so I thank you again!! 😘
Love it Wayne and it looks really nice on you. ❤️😘
Bare Minerals got me to somewhat achieve the filtered look I had seen all over SoMe for years before realizing it was actually photo filters 🤷♀️ but it’s the first time I put on makeup and felt confident in what I’ve achieved

Convinced me! I'm 60 so I'm going to try it out. I hate wearing liquid foundation in the summer.
There's a German powder/mineral product called 'wonder pearls'.
I'm 50 years old and it's the very first product that I like as a foundation!
It has a nice coverage without being cakey or makes my pors look huge..and it lasts for hours.

You might also like their serum foundation. I love both of the products but the serum is better for my chronically dry skin. 😁
I learned this trick from you years ago with BM foundation on areas with larger pores.. Stipple!
Finally a make up artist admits to foundations having a yellow undertone. I thought I’ve been going crazy for the past two years. Maybe because everybody spray tans now?
Even the so-called neutrals and cool towns look orange on my skin
Bobbi Brown has been banging the “Most people have yellow undertones” drum since the 1990s. My kingdom for a great, cool medium!
@@dynamist That's not even true. My family has yellow undertones. At a wedding reception, the halogen lights in the hall made my mother and me turn yellow, but everyone else looked normal.

Dear Wayne,
I think the Bare Minerals looks flawless on you and medium is perfect.
It looks flawless 🤩 I have this foundation and it shocks me every time. Even on dry skin it works
Which one is it? The 24h ?

I love all your videos! You’re so real and down to earth. Breath of fresh air here on UA-cam
I have been using Bare mineral blemish control foundation for approx 8 / 9 years it’s fab I’ll never change.💫
Thank you 🙏
Right on time! This is exciting because I've been debating if I should give Bare Minerals another chance. We shall see.
You're so amazing. I literally wear makeup about once a year, but because I've always watched you I manage to look good when I do. Best, Chere

Bare Minerals original foundation has been my go-to foundation for about 12 years now. That says a lot since I just hit '60'. My skin has gone thru a lot of changes during the last 10 years but Bare Minerals has managed to handle it all!
Amazing the difference that foundation made. You look at least 10 years younger! Thanks for this!
I'm 40 and I use Bare Minerals. I found that it layers BEAUTIFULLY over Dr. Jarts BB cream. No visible pores, no cracking, no clinging to dry skin.

You have inspired me to start wearing makeup again. Stopped 5-7yrs ago..
Love you Wayne, sweet soul. I’m 62, so I use NO powder on my skin, except for eyeshadow and I’m seriously thinking about switching to a matte non shimmer eye shadow. Your voice touches my soul. Thank you and much love to you and anyone reading this, in oneness.
I agree, it didn’t look good on the nose at all. The eyes were ok, but could have been better, but I think it wasn’t flattering at all on the nose.

I love bare minerals original foundation, it’s so good!!!
Well, it looks like I will be buying this product.🤩 I like a more natural look opposed to mask like foundations.

Same here, I'm 58 and have stopped wearing other foundations. This looks the most skin-like in my opinion.
Hardly any foundation is the secret.

Looks good. I do love mineral foundations, especially Bare Minerals.
I'm 49 and have super oily skin. I use Bare Minerals foundation. It works well for me and people compliment my skin.
