I started using BM 21 years ago and only that for about 10 years and then the makeup boom hit. Started trying other products and have just recently gone back to it. I’m 55 and it looks so much better than any of the liquids I’ve gone through. I only have Bisque left so I’m gonna get a proper foundation this weekend. You look beautiful! Leslie would be proud.
Yes! I’ve realised this recently as well! The further away you are from your mirror, the less pressure you use with your brush AND the less close up you are to notice uncovered spots. So, less buffing and over powdering when you’re not nose to mirror.
I absolutely LOVE when you do these videos! You are the reason I am a bare minerals girl! It is my ride or die! Thank you for posting this! Love the refresher!
This is the only tutorial that helped me with the loose powder! I was using too dense of a brush and not using enough product. I tried it with a regular powder brush and using more powder, and it worked! Thank you!
Brilliant! That has to be the trick to having Bareminerals look more natural, especially on my older face. You just look glowing and pretty and isn't that the point? Thanks, Shaz! I also need to find that blush, just gorgeous. ❤😘
Thanks! you look amazing. Your makeup looks really natural. I have been using bare minerals since I was a teenager (I’m in my 30s now). I always liked it. I remember being able to cover acne with it and it didn’t look cakey. But somewhere along the line, I think I started using too much. I’m going to go back to this original method. Bare minerals is great for people who maybe aren’t the most skilled like myself. I feel like everyone became professional level makeup artists in the past few years lol. I wish I had that level of skill but I don’t. 😫
Hi Shaz ! I love your tips! Your skin looks natural ,healthy. Just lovely. When you stepped out into the sun ! Beautiful! I really like the blush drops. They are perfect for you! So natural, but yet you can tell you have a bit of blush. Your video comes at the best time for me! My sister bought the Original Foundation, but the color was too light so she gave it to me! Can't wait to try your tips tomorrow! XX
@@BlondeTeaParty Hi Shaz , I love this foundation!! Your tips were brilliant!! Oh, Shaz I adore it! My skin looks so natural & using your application tip was so easy to use! Thank you! ❤
Can you do a video where you show prep? i feel like my face is still slightly tacky from SPF / moisturizer so it clings to my skin weird instead of buffing in
This has me wanting to buy the original BM foundation again! I stopped using it almost 10 years ago because I wanted to try other things, but before that I used it for about 10 years. Sephora's sale starts tomorrow...maybe I need to add this to cart...
So happy to have found this video,l treated myself to the bare minerals foundation but have been struggling with application ,,,,,l thought l needed to buy their buffing brush but happy to say no l don’t …l just followed your advice …game changer it worked so well and the product will last me so much longer now 😊
This is perfect timing because I have been thinking I may need to try a darker shade of BareMinerals, but it may just be my application that is making me look pale! I will try your tips! Thanks.
Like you said in another video, using Complextion rescue under the BM original foundation is a game changer. Putting it on with a dense makeup brush seems to work great. I find that my skin looks better even after i wash BM off. I just tried Laura Geller and it was very dry where BM is so creamy! It doesn't even come off under a mask!
The finished look is incredible but I have to say that you have very little red on your cheeks compared to mine......I have a LOT of broken veins. Would you advocate applying 2 or 3 layers of BM powder before a blusher ?
I would buff on a light layer and go into the red parts with a damp beauty blender and gently pat for extra coverage. This method I find to be flawless! I have filmed a video on how to do this, it's in my bareMinerals playlist x
I know this was two years ago…but just a question regarding the BM makeup…so the Matte you used over the original …was it also the fairly light color or Did you use another color? I also use the color fairly light original but didn’t know about a matte finish…….thanks
Hi, I used the matte in shade golden nude, it's a lot warmer so if I'm feeling like fairly light is lookin a bit pale I just add a touch of golden nude x
Great video .I am going to try using a different brush to apply my bareminerals. I tried using the beautiful face brush and it doesn't seem to give any coverage and I found I was buffing forever .I am going to try the real technique's brush and your recommendation ,see if that helps .
I bought the recommended Natural Finish face brush to use with my bareMinerals foundation, but has anyone had better luck with a different brush? I feel like maybe Im pressing too hard to buff, but I feel like Ive worn my brush to where the bristles are all spread out and it's losing its shape. Id like to try a different kabuki or face brush with it.
Brilliant Shaz, I’m going to go much sheerer now. And I agree that with a more fluffy brush (I now use an It Cosmetics powder brush) and it’s much better result for me than the dense BM kabuki style brush. Xx
They came out with a new complexion rescue CONCEALER!!! Mine is on its way soon I hope!! Heard wonderful things about it !! Have you tried it? If not, will you try it and let us know in video how well it holds . I’m 150% sure it’s a wonderful concealer!!!❤
@@BlondeTeaParty you might consider using only tinted cream and powder in light from now on and just going heavy for evenings out or parties where it calls for it ❤😍😘🥰

I always go back to BM! 57 and it still looks great.using warmth is tricky because it can look like your face has been in the dirt.

No I would really like to. Very expensive though!
Hi! I have fairly light in the bareminerals original. Would i be the same colour in the mat? Or do i go for the colour light beige? Thank you! Xxx
I have light beige in the mat. I think the shades are slightly different in the mat version. x

You are so welcome! Yes, it is worth it! Super brightening for under the eyes and great as an eyelid base! x

Is it necessary to use veil over original foundation powder?
No, I prefer it without it.
What primer works well with this foundation for oily skin
I'm not big on primers but one I do like is the Benefit Porfessional or NYX Marshmallow primer
Yeah me neither. But I have to attend my brother's wedding and thinking to do makeup on my own
